Raid Shadow Legends Reflect Damage Skill applies to Reflect Damage buff on self or allies, so they can reflect a portion of the incoming damage from enemies to them. This is great against enemies who have Lifesteal Set on them, preventing them from healing while they attack.
Reflect Damage FAQ
How does Reflect Damage works with Shield buff present?
No damage will be reflected when the champion has a shield buff present as it withstands incoming damage. It’s only the part of incoming damage that subtracts health points that are reflected. Hence, it is not optimal to group a champion that has Reflect Damage skill with any champions that have Shield skill.
Does Reflect Damage buff helps in reducing Fire Knight shield count?
The Reflected Damage counts as a hit. Therefore, it is also great against Fire Knight (FK) Dungeon Boss where you need multiple hits on his shield to break it before you can inflict a high amount of damage toward his HP. Reflect Damage Skill paired with Counter Attack Skill will allow you to counter the boss easily.
How to optimize the damage dealt from Reflect Damage buff?
Reflect Damage buff is best used on heroes who have high health (HP) but low defense (DEF). The health allows your champion to tank the damage whereas low defense helps to not reduce the incoming damage too much, so that a higher portion of damage can be reflected to the attacker.

Balthus Drauglord got 30% reflect damage pasive
@spending my pride: Raf-Matab is now in the Reflect Damage champion list.
@bad bed bug: Tatura Rimehide and Warchief is now available in the Reflect Damage champion list.
@Gabriel, @King Jesus, @ZeroFUgivenCKS: Sniktraak is now available in the Reflect Damage champion list.
@Joel, @Gabriel: Woad-Painted has been added to the AoE section of Reflect Damage champion list.
@Caryon: I have updated Toragi the Frog targetting from AoE to Self for the Reflect Damage.
Does damage from “Ally Protection” also proc reflect damage? I was wondering because of the interaction of Toragi’s self “Reflect Damage” buff applying a team “Ally Protection” buff. Thank you in advance for clarification.
Sniktraak needs to be added to the list. He places a 30% reflect damage on all allies. Also, if any ally places any reflect damage buff, his passive effect increases it by 20%, for a total of 50% reflect damage buff. His passive effect also automatically reflects 50% of all damage to him. Importantly, if you combine his passive effect with an ally placing a 30% reflect damage buff on him, he increases it to 50% and then he also reflects 50% of damage from his passive, for a combined total of reflecting 100% of damage back to the attacker. His is a reflect damage beast and perhaps the best in the game. Needs to be on this list!
Woad-painted places a 30% reflect damage on all allies and herself. The above indicates she only places such on herself. Sniktraak needs to be added to the list also, as he places a 30% reflect damage on all allies, plus if a reflect damage buff is placed by an ally, he increases the value of such by 20%. Moreover, he reflects 50% of all damage to him back to the attacker, even without a reflect damage buff. Importantly, if an ally places a 30% reflect damage buff on him, he increases it by 20% up to 50%, plus his own automatic 50% reflect damage adds to such/ The combined effect of this is that he reflects 100% of damage back to the attacker.
Sniktraak 30% reflect , special when others cast reflect damage he increases it by 20%, so it is 50% reflect damage
Need to add Woad Painted to the list. Her A2 has 30% reflect damage on all allies for 2 turns after the buff she received.
Caryon pointed this out earlier: Toragi only puts reflect on himself.
The skill wording is very misleading because of the word ‘them’ makes it sound like a group buff, but it is a part of his self heal and only lands on himself.
I’m still wondering when Raf-Matab with his AoE 30% Reflect will get his entry.
Hey Ayumi, thanks a lot for this incredible treasure of an information source!
I just noticed that you show Toragi the frog as an AoE Reflect Damage buffer, which is not correct. He applies the reflect damage only on himself
Here I would see also special champs category with reflect damage in their passive like tatura, warchief…
Toragi has self buff reflect, not AoE.
So just to be clear: Are you asserting that reflect damage buff only returns damage from lost HP AFTER deducted from Defense? Thusly, champs with high defense will not benefit as much as possible from reflect damage buff? Please emphasize this point stronger in the summery section as it is a big deal in strategy to understand this.
what about geomancers’s 30% reflect first can that damage crit, and if i make geo tanky will less dmg reflect from the team or just him?
@Eric: The damage reflection is based on how much HP is lost. If your champions who are under Unkillable buff has 1 HP, the damage dealt is 1. Apart from that, Bommal the Dreadhorn has high amount of Accuracy stat, which he can easily strip away the Unkillable and Reflect Damage buff and replace it with Bomb debuff.
For the team to work, you will need to build a high resistance team (e.g. Resist Aura, Resist Banner, Resist Chestplate) and have a Decrease Accuracy champion to reduce Dreadhorn’s Accuracy stats. Apart from that, a healer is essential to heal everyone, so they have some HP to lose to reflect the damage. Reflect Damage buff does not proc Warmaster or Giant Slayer, which means the battle will be a lengthy one.
Think Reflect damage + unkillable can be the basis of a team to get through Dreadhorn?
Just wanted to mention that sets such as Taunt set active for champs that have a reflect damage passive – I have tested this only on Drauglord with a taunt set, but I suspect that it would apply to the other sets as well (toxin, curse, ect)
@JareelSkaj: I have created a new section to cater for Reflect Damage Passive Skill. Warchief, Underpriest Brogni and Balthus Drauglord will be relocated to this list for a more accurate representation of their skills since the other 2 (15% and 30%) is more related to the Reflect Damage Buff skill!
Note:
Balthus Drauglord has a 30% (self) reflect damage on passive skill
Similarly Underpriest Brogni (new champion at the time of writing) will have a 25% (team) reflect damage on shields.
Reflect damage is quit useful against enemy with high attack value. I once encounter with an ally with reflect damage buff. I use Talia A2 and reflect damages from the skill kill my Talia and I lost the fight. Sound very silly but its a fact
@Tom Chapman Barros-Wing: The damage will be displayed as is as usual. The reflect damage will be based on how much damage the champion receives. For example, if the champion has 1 HP with Unkillable Buff and 30% Reflect Damage, Clan Boss deals 100K damage, the damage reflected would be 1. Reflect Damage Buff does not work well with champions who have Shield Set or Block Damage buff.
If the champion has Shield Buff and Reflect Damage buff, the damage is mitigated to the Shield before it reaches the HP, which results in 0 damage received to the champion before it can be reflected. If the damage is able to diminish all of the Shield capacity and hits the HP, 30% of the damage received by the HP will be reflected back to the attacker.
If the champion has Block Damage buff and Reflect Damage buff, the damage received will be 0, which results in 0 damage reflected back to the attacker.
How does Reflect Damage work when you have an Unkillable buff on and you’re down to minimum hp? Does the dmg displayed onscreen mean anything?
I’m considering trying Warchief in an unkillable CB setup, but if he doesn’t reflect 60% dmg back when he’s at 1 hp (which is most of the fight), it would be a huuuuuge waste to even try it.
When you get the chance would you be able to separate these champs further by dividing them by what champs place a reflect damage buff on only one champ and what champs place it on the whole team?
Say you’re in the Arena and down to the last two champs fighting one on one and both are low on hp and defender has a reflect damage buff, and the attacker hits with a killing blow, but reflected damage kills them too, who wins? Or would reflected damage not trigger if dead?
@JP King: You will not be able to stack 2 of the same kind types of buff/debuff such as 15% Reflect Damage and 30% Reflect Damage. The one that is more powerful version will overwrite the weaker version.
you’re missing fellhound. nevermind.
Is ist possible To Stack it? For Example 2 15 % at the Same time Witz Grappler and Runic Warden or 15 % & 30 % With Terrorbeast & Grappler?
@Jake: Reflect Damage can trigger Warmaster and Giant Slayer (Offense Tier 6 Masteries) based on players experiences. I have not tested this yet as I do not have a champion with Warmaster/Giant SLayer with Reflect Damage skill.
@:thomas: Runic Warder has been added into the list under 15% Reflect Damage!
@Aeolwind: Runic Warder has been added into the list under 15% Reflect Damage!
Runic Warder should be added to the 15% list
Sry my Mistake! Already there! ^^
You forgot Grappler.
Thanks for the great Work! Keep it up!
Best Regards
Can the reflect damage buff trigger a giant slayer or war master buff on the reflected damage?
runic warder should be added under 15% reflect rares.
he has
Rune of Outlasting (Cooldown: 5 turns)
Places a 15% [Reflect Damage] buff and a 7.5% [Continuous Heal] buff on all allies for 2 turns.
Level 2: Cooldown -1
Level 3: Cooldown -1
I have seen others with Elhain where it reflects all three damage indicators have a number but my green one is always zero with my elhain and I haven’t found out why, do you have an answer for this?
@here: Cirilla the Community Manager for RAID Shadow Legends has informed that they have reworked both active and passive Reflect Damage as such it will prevent champions from gaining health if they are geared with Lifesteal Set and have the Reflect Damage buff or Reflect Damage passive skill.

Quoting Cirilla Notes (December 2, 2019):
Hello guys! There is one important point that we missed in our patch notes because of a simple oversight and do apologize for that. The passive reflect damage Skills used to replenish champs’ HP if they were equipped with the Lifesteal set. However, the damage yielded by the champs with the Lifesteal set was not intended to be influenced by the Skill initially (the same goes for Reflect Damage buff), thus, we fixed it for the passive Skills. Basically, now the reflect damage Skills and the damage that they produce work the same way as the corresponding buff does.
@VenerableWizard:
1. 30% of the damage absorbed by your champion (net damage received after deducting from defense stats) is reflected to the attacker. Assuming your champion receives 10K damage from attacker’s damage, the attacker receives 3K damage from the Reflect Buff.
2. Champion will not heal from Lifesteal Set when damage is reflected via Reflect Damage buff towards the enemy. Only Passive Skill such as Warchief’s Standstill that reflects damage is able to heal from it. https://ayumilove.net/raid-shadow-legends-warchief-skill-mastery-equip-guide/
Two questions:
1. Is the reflected damage reduced from the damaged received or is the percentage of reflected damage duplicated and sent back to the attacker?
2. If a champion with this buff active is equipped with a Lifesteal set, will the buffed champion heal from the reflected damage?
@Fredrik: Thanks for your input! I have added your points into the guide above regarding Shield Buff not synergizing with Reflect Damage buff.
Take note that no damage will be reflected if an active shield is present and that withstands incoming damage. It’s only the part of incoming damage that subtracts health points that are reflected. Hence, it is not optimal to group a champion that has Reflect Damage skill with any champion/-s that have Shield skill.
