Wuzgar Review

In the mystical realm of Teleria, where steam-powered wonders abound, a legendary figure known as Wuzgar, the Steam Punk Mountain Shaman, traverses the treacherous depths of dark caves. With his awe-inspiring axe in hand, he wields it not to cause harm, but to bring restorative powers to those in need. As an Epic champion hailing from the formidable Ogryn Tribes, Wuzgar is a force to be reckoned with.

If you seek a versatile champion capable of delivering multiple strikes while offering healing and support to comrades, Wuzgar is the formidable ally you’ve been searching for. His true brilliance shines brightest in the Fire Knights’ Castle, where his innate ability to deal devastating blows to the enemy’s shield proves invaluable. With a unique skillset, Wuzgar employs a quad hit default attack that effortlessly cracks through the enemy’s defense. When combined with other tactics to control the battlefield, the results are nothing short of remarkable.

Wuzgar’s second ability holds the power to heal all allies by a remarkable 10% of his maximum health. Therefore, bolstering his HP to its fullest potential is paramount, while also granting him a counter-attack buff. This combination proves especially effective when facing the Fire Knight, provided the enemy lacks complete control over their turn meter. The moment Wuzgar seizes the opportunity, he can deliver four additional strikes against the enemy’s shield, drastically weakening their defenses.

But it is Wuzgar’s sacred magic, flowing through his majestic skull, that truly sets him apart. Through his third ability, known as Tusked Protection, he shields all allies with a reflective aura, absorbing 30% of incoming damage and bestowing a shield equal to 20% of his own maximum health. This protective enchantment lasts for two turns, greatly reducing the impact of enemy counterattacks. Moreover, the shield also diminishes the enemy’s counter by 5, assuming all allied champions benefit from its presence. It is within this synergy that Wuzgar’s full potential is unlocked, ensuring a smoother and simpler experience for players seeking to overcome challenging encounters.

Beyond the realm of the Fire Knights’ Castle, Wuzgar’s support prowess extends to the Faction Wars. He proves to be an indispensable asset, capable of providing immense value to his comrades. In the Arena, he takes on the role of a formidable tank, ready to withstand enemy onslaughts while supporting his allies. Wuzgar’s passive ability even restores destroyed maximum health, countering adversaries who possess the power to undo the damage inflicted. Furthermore, in Clan Boss battles, he demonstrates his versatility as a support champion, contributing to the team’s success by delivering a flurry of devastating blows with his four-hit default attack, activated through the Giant Slayer Proc.

Please bear in mind that these ratings are preliminary and subject to change pending thorough testing of Wuzgar’s capabilities. But one thing remains certain—Wuzgar, the Steam Punk Mountain Shaman, is a true force of nature, ready to lead you to victory in the mystical world of Teleria.

Wuzgar Champion Lore

The Gaellen War was a time of great suffering for many Ogryn. As the conflict played out, it led to the emergence of many factions and belief systems, all seeking to rationalize the bloodshed and secure the survival of the tribes. From the brutal and fatalistic Bone Crushers to the unifying Battle-Summoners, each sought to harness their unique abilities and philosophies. But few matched the levels of arcane channeling achieved by the group known as the Blood Revival.

Originally composed of Ogryn shamans drawn from across many different tribes, the Blood Revival’s core tenet was simple — violence was not always destructive, and could be used to serve a greater purpose. The Revival’s shamans had a unique connection to the Ogryn psyche, able to harness the raw energy unleashed by the prodigious aggression Ogryn were capable of, turning it to other ends. In particular, they could trammel destruction into energies that could be used to heal their fellow Ogryn.

The skills necessary to utilize such magic were difficult to master, and the Blood Revival remained few in number, but they swiftly proved their usefulness to the Gaellen Pact. Ogryn warriors could drive with impunity into the midst of the enemy, splintering shields, cracking skulls, and carving open torsos in the knowledge that doing so gave their shamans the ability to heal even the most grievous wounds.

The original shamans took on apprentices. Foremost among them was Wuzgar, a young Ogryn who had long yearned to join the Revival. Enamored by the stories and rhythms of the Battle-Summoners and burning with hatred inspired by the brutalities of the Red Crusade, he saw the Blood Revival as the key to victory, and his radicalism only increased when many of his tribe were slain during a Telerian League attack.

Wuzgar swiftly became a prominent Revival shaman, attuned like no other to the potential that Ogryn violence carried and the way its energies could be employed to restore and thus continue the bloodshed, creating a vicious cycle of destruction that devastated several Telerian League armies.

Yet despite Wuzgar’s ferocity and the Blood Revival’s efforts, the war continued to turn against the Pact. Wuzgar and his fellow shamans could not be everywhere at once, and as the frequency of losses rose, so the Revival’s own numbers began to dwindle, something Wuzgar recognized as the cycle of defeat. After the death of his mentor, he assumed command of the last of the shamans, intending to lead them in one final effort to halt the ongoing Telerian invasion of Pehas.

But death amid the storm of battle was not to be Wuzgar’s fate, at least not immediately. The Arbiter had been watching the efforts of the Blood Revival. She had become intrigued by their ability to heal through violence, and believed such knowledge could be put to use in future wars against Siroth. As the Pact made its last stand, she appeared before Wuzgar and urged him to accept immortality through one of her Shards. Wuzgar refused, determined to perish with his people, but the Arbiter showed him a vision, one where even the bloodshed of the Gaellen War seemed small and petty. Ogryn were slaughtered and enslaved by Demonspawn hordes, in a conflict that set the whole of Teleria alight. The Arbiter assured Wuzgar he had a part to play in such a war if it occurred and, by doing so, his people and their skills would live on.

Wuzgar grudgingly accepted. The Blood Revival would continue, a fact that, with time, even the descendants of the Telerian League peoples might come to be thankful of.

Given his passive, would Miracle Heal be redundant (and a waste) or complementary, (an addition) to the max hp healing we have in both?

  2. Joseph Garrison

Considering his passive, would the Miracle Heal blessing be a waste on him, or would they work together to restore even MORE lost Max HP?

  3. SW

Ignore my comment. Star rating below in first section but above in dungeons

  4. SW

Think you might have swapped Spider and Fire Knight Star Ratings

@Joseph Garrison: I would recommend having Miracle Heal to restore Wuzgar’s allies destroyed MAX HP when dealing with Fire Knight Hard boss when they hit his shield or when battling against Hydra. For other areas, I would use Cruelty to reduce the boss’s defense to enable your damage nuker to do more damage in the long run.

JUST pulled him… looking forward to building him for Fire Knight with a blessing to maximize the healing. Any advice out there?

I feel this guy is also late-game useful. His kit is super useful for Fire Knight hard mode….4 attacks on his A1. He is tanky, with good healing. In retaliation he is good, but guardian suits him also. I have in in defiant also for the 15% decrease aoe. He is new, but I think will find a place on many Fire Knight teams.

Wie gestalte ich am besten seine Fertigkeiten ? Möchte doch so einen tollen Typen nicht versauen !!!

  9. Graywolfe

Okay after using him for a little while I am loving this guy. He may well be the best healer in the game. He is just fantastic at keeping the rest of the team healthy.

I have tried him in a number of different gear sets. Retaliation is good until you get him booked, then he can keep his counterattack buff up almost non stop so it isn’t really needed. I am kind of torn between guardian and 2 immortal sets. The Immortal gets him higher HP and everything he does is based of that but I think Guardian helps more for me as it helps reduce the damage the group takes and heals him more.

  10. Graywolfe

Well just pulled him, I like the look of him. Just have to see how he does once I get him up some.
