  • [Hero] Adjusted the Rage mechanism of Vance: Grants Vance an extra turn per 5 Rage. If Vance obtains more than 5 Rage in one action, extra Rage will not be stored. Applying a single positive effect with multiple layers now counts as 1 positive effect. No longer counts as getting multiple positive effects.

Hero Adjustments

All stats are for Max Iv. Please refer to actual in-game info. Implemented minor adjustments for the following Heroes:

Balberith

  • Demon Rebirth (Trait): Revives this character upon death, heals them for (50% → 80%) Health, (NEW → 1 Ability Immunity for 1 turn), and resets all active ability cooldowns.
  • Ambush: Deals (100% → 120%) damage to an enemy, (REMOVED → with a 30% chance to apply Stun for 1 turn.) (NEW → and shortens the cooldown on this character’s ultimate ability by 1 turn.

Lydia

  • Base Speed: 105 → 115 (+10)
  • Phantom (Trait): Dodge +35%. (NEW → -30 Area Damage Taken.) (Ascension → +20% Life Steal.)
  • Assassinate: Deals 100% damage to an enemy and (REMOVED → applies Accuracy Down) (NEW → grants Dodge Up to this character) for 1 turn.

Tia

  • Freeze (Trait): now [Frostbite] will be unremovable; Tia will deals extra damage based the stacks of [Frostbite] the target has (Frostbite I: 10% per stack, Frostbite II: 15% per stack).

Nicklaus

  • Swipe: Increase 50% more damage to the main target of the Bonus Attack.
  • King’s Will: [Death Immunity] will be unremovable.
  • Holy Sword: Increase the damage from 100% to 120%.

Abaddon

  • Soul Reaper (Trait): (Updated skill description, stats and mechanism not changed): Attacks reduce all cooldowns by 1 turn per unique negative effect on the target and inflict (5% → 10%) damage per negative effect on the target.
  • Soulsuck (Special → Passive): Attacks trigger a bonus [Soulsuck] strike under 100% Health, dealing 120% damage to all enemies and restoring Health based on the number of negative effects on the target. Cooldown: 3 rounds

Brand the Brilliant

  • Heaven’s Punishment: Add “Upon reaching 8 Rage, gain a Bonus Turn at the end of the Round, can be triggered once per round”.
  • Ancestral Grudge: Increase the extra True Damage from 10% to 20% (5% for Bosses).

Virgil

  • Base Attack: 847 → 1117 (+270)
  • Arcane Sanction (Trait): +1 Rage when apply Arcane Sanction. Increase the healing of [Arcane Sanction] effect from 10% to 20%.
  • Arcane Surge (Special): Changed from attacking all enemies to one enemy. Increase damage from 100% to 180%.

Myla

  • Frost Rune (Trait): For each negative effect the target has, chance to apply [Frozen] increases by 10%/15% → 25%.
  • Ascended: Grant [Ice Shield] for 2 turns once each Wave. [Ice Shield]: When heath is at 50% of the character’s Max. HP, when the shield takes damage, applies [Speed Down] for 2 turns.
  • Runic Strike (Basic): Increase the damage from 80% to 120%.
  • Talismanic Riposte (Special): Increase the damage from 100% to 150%.
  • Berserk Smash (Ultimate): Deals 50% extra damage to the main target.

Borden

  • Survival of the Fittest (Trait): Reduce the cooldown from “Can be triggered once per 3 rounds” to per 2 rounds after Ascension.
  • Ambush (Basic): Increase the damage from 100% to 120%.
  • Smoke Bomb (Special): Increase the damage from 100% to 120%.

Thomas

  • Giant Crossbow (Trait): Replace “Grants Shield for 2 turns upon taking damage over 30% of Max. HP” with “Reduce Damage taken by 30%” after Ascension.

MogNar

  • Mognar (Trait) (Rework): This character has a 60% chance to use the ability twice, 30% chance to use the ability three times.
  • Ascended: This character has a 60% chance to use the ability twice, 30% chance to use the ability three times. At the end of any turn, if this character’s HP is below 50%, grant [Speed UP] for 1 turn. Can be triggered once each round.
  • Poem of Nar (Special): Bonus Turn effect can be triggered once per Round.

Bruszakk

  • Axe-Shield Combo (Basic): Increase the damage from 80% to 120%.
  • Battle Cry (Special): Now will also grant [Shield] equal to 30% of Max. HP for 2 turns.

Harbeg

  • Reactor (Trait): Grants +3 Rage at the end of the turn. Ascended: Grant this character 1 stack of [Ability Immune] at the start of the Battle.
  • Energy Reload (Special) Grants 2 Rage (NEW → and Ability Ineffective.)
  • Charged Cannon (Ultimate): Consumes 6 Rage. Deals (145% → 175%) damage to an enemy (NEW → plus 50% bonus damage to shielded targets.)

Sylan

  • Sand Spirit Protector (Trait): Added effect “If Sylan has more than 3 positive effects when the enemy attacks, grants [Reduce Damage Taken] to all team members for 1 turn”.

New Revamp Skills

Vance

  • Sinbreaker (Trait): When a non-Boss enemy gets a positive effect, +1 Rage. Immediately grants Vance a Bonus Turn when having 5 Rage. Ascended: Attacks ignore all enemy’s positive effects.
  • Sign of the Cross (Basic): Deals 120% damage to an enemy. If the target has 2 or more positive effects, launch a Bonus Attack with [Inquisition].
  • Inquisition (Special): When taking lethal damage from the enemy, restores 16% of Max. HP. Health restoration increases with the number of Rage. Can be triggered once every 3 rounds.
  • Demonsword Devour (Ultimate): Deals 200% damage to an enemy. For each positive effect the target has, increase the damage by 30%.

Jonathan

  • Sacris Custodia (Trait): When the enemy casts an ability over an area, Grants a [Shield] to all team mates and self equal to 10% (20% Ascended) of Max. HP for 2 turns.
  • Righteous Raid (Basic): Deals 100% damage to an enemy and applies [Unhealable] for 2 turns. Damage increases with the character’s Max HP.
  • Brilliance Boost (Special): Expels all negative effects and restores 30% of Max. HP. Grants a Bonus Turn at the end of the Round.
  • Spiral Slash (Ultimate): Deals 120% damage to all enemies and applies [Attack Down] and [Defense Down] for 2 turns. Damage increases with the character’s Max. HP.

Rickard

  • Unshakable (Trait): Reduce the cooldown of the Ultimate ability by 1 turn when a teammate dies. Can be triggered once per Round. Ascended: Reduce the cooldown of the Ultimate ability by 1 turn, and grant [Reduce Damage Taken] for 2 turns when a teammate dies. Can be triggered once per Round.
  • Mighty Strike (Basic): Deals 80% damage to an enemy and has a 50% chance to apply [Attack Down] for 1 turn. Damage increases with the character’s Max. HP.
  • Brutal Hammer (Special): Grants this character [Shield] when HP is below 30%. Shield strength increases with the number of negative effects on this character. Grants a Bonus turn at the end of the Round. Can be triggered once every 3 Rounds.
  • Give’ Em the Hammer (Ultimate): Deals True Damage equal to 100% of the character’s Max. HP to all enemies. The damage shares across all enemies and can not be dodged. This ability starts with a 3-turn cooldown.

Hassel

  • Backfire (Trait): At the start of the turn, Grants [Speed Up] ([Speed Up II] when ascended) for 1 turn to the teammate with the highest Attack.
  • Bash (Basic): Deals 50% damage to one enemy, and heals Hassel and the teammate with the lowest HP. The healing increases with Hassel’s Max HP.
  • Molten Armor (Special): Grant [Attack Up] and [Crit. Rate Up] to self or a teammate for 2 turns, and grants a bonus turn for the target.
  • Firehands (Ultimate): Deals 120% damage to all enemies and applies [Defense Down] for 2 turns. Removes all positive effects from the main target.

Andre

  • Goo (Trait): When attacking, if the damage is more than 40% of the target’s Max. HP, launch a Bonus Attack with [Slam], deals 100% damage to one enemy and ignores 80% Defense. If this kills an enemy, deals another Bonus Attack to the enemy with the lowest HP.
  • Anchor (Basic): Deals 150% damage to an enemy with a 50% chance to apply [Speed Down] for 2 turns.
  • Gem Splash (Special): Grant [Shield] for 2 turns when taking a negative effect. Shield strength increases with the Attack of the character. At the start of the turn, removes all negative effects and restore HP equal to the remaining Shield HP. Can be triggered once each 2 Rounds
  • Slam (Ultimate): Deals 250% damage to an enemy and removes all positive effects. Applies [No Positive Effects] for 2 turns.

Jonathan

  • Sacris Custodia (Trait → Ascension) +1 Rage per attack or upon taking a valid hit. Regenerates (10% → 15%) of Max Health at the start of the turn if damaged on the previous turn.
  • Righteous Raid (Basic) Deals 100% damage to an enemy, with a 30% chance to apply Silence for 1 turn(s).
  • Brilliance Boost (Special, Cooldown: 3 turns) Grants a bonus turn at the end of the round as well as Attack Up and Damage Reduction for 2 turn(s). Level 2: Grants a bonus Damage Reduction for 2 turn(s).
  • Spiral Splash (Ultimate, Cooldown: 4 turns) Removes negative effects and expends all Rage. Deals 100% damage to all enemies. The amount of damage dealt in this attack scales with the amount of Health lost by targets and Rage expended.

Rickard

  • Unshakable (Trait → Ascension) Grants (10% → 20%) Damage Reduction upon taking damage.
  • Mighty Strike (Basic) Deals 80% damage to an enemy, with a 50% chance to apply Attack Down for 1 turn.
  • Brutal Hammer (Special, Cooldown: 3 turns) Removes all negative effects. Each removal restores 10% of Max Health. Deals 100% damage to an enemy.
  • Give ‘Em the Hammer (Ultimate, Cooldown: 6 turns) Deals total True Damage equal to 80% of this character’s Max Health to all enemies.

Hassel

  • Backfire (Trait → Ascension) Grants a Shield with strength equal to (30% → 50%) of Max Health upon taking a Critical Strike. Cooldown: 3 rounds.
  • Bash (Basic): Launches 2 strikes dealing 100% total damage to an enemy. Each strike has a 50% chance to apply Ignite for 2 turns.
  • Molten Armor (Special, Cooldown: 3 turns): Heals all team members for 20% of Max Health and applies Crit. Resistance Up to the target for 2 turns.
  • Firehands (Ultimate, Cooldown: 4 turns) Deals 120% damage to an enemy and applies Crit. Rate Down to the target for 2 turn(s). Damage scales with the amount of this character’s Max Health.

Andre

  • Goo (Trait → Ascension) If this character has Rage, then grants (+30% → +50%) Crit. Damage. If not, then attacks have a (50% → 100%) chance to reduce their ultimate ability cooldown by 1 turn.
  • Anchor (Basic) Deals 80% damage to an enemy. If this character has Rage, then this attack expends 1 Rage to deal double damage.
  • Gem Splash (Passive, Cooldown: 2 turns) Counters any enemy attempt to inflict a negative effect with a total dispel granting +2 Rage. Cooldown: 2 rounds.
  • Slam (Ultimate, Cooldown: 5 turns) Deals 250% damage to an enemy and grants +2 Rage. +1 Rage per Critical Strike.

Mognar

  • Mognar (Trait → Ascension) This character has a 30% chance to use this ability twice. When Health is below 50%, the chance increases to 70%. (Ascension → If this ability fails to trigger, then its ability cooldown is reduced by 1 turn.)
  • Poem of Mog (Special, Cooldown: 3 turns) Grants a Shield with strength based on this character’s Attack for 2 turns under 50% Health of a bonus turn if this character has a Shield. Cooldown 2 turns.

  • [Skin] Fixed the display error of Blackhorn’s [The People’s Shaman] Skin.

New Updates

  • [Hero Recall] Added Hero Recall function. Heroes who had major balance changes will be added to a recall list, and players can refund all resources by using the Recall function in the Altar.
  • Recalling has a time limit, which usually will be a period of time after a Hero Balance change.
  • Current Heroes available for Recall: Urzag, Hakrin, and Edicris.
  • [Event] Adjusted the reward tiering-up system in web Events. Now Event reward levels will share across all types of events, instead of Events of the same kind.
  • [Battle] Adjusted the damage coefficient of the following heroes when they act as AI enemies: Urzag, Boolin, Garrell, and Godfery.
  • [Dungeon] Added the skill description for the elite enemies in Roaring Tulpa in Hell mode.

Hero Balance Adjustments

Asrina

  • Trait – Dragon Lineage: Counterattacks change from one to all enemies.
  • Basic – Fireball: Chance to apply Ignite increases from 50% to 100%.
  • Ultimate – Dragonflame Storm: Chance to duplicate Ignite increases from 50% to 100%.

Urzag (Rework)

  • Trait – Gladiator’s Tenacity (Rework): When attacking, apply additional damage based on the difference of Attack between this character and the target.
  • Ascended: When attacking, apply additional damage based on the difference of Attack between this character and the target, and gain 1 stack of Block.
  • Basic – Swift Strike (Rework): Deals 120% damage to an enemy and applies [Unhealable] for 2 turns.
  • Special – Sundering Whirlwind (Rework): Deals 120% damage to all enemies and applies [Increase Damage Taken] for 2 turns.
  • Ultimate – Bloodthirst Blade (Rework): Deals 200% damage to one enemy and applies [No Positive Effects] for 2 turns.

Hakrin

  • Trait – Ancient Guardian: Teamwide Defense bonus now will Not include Hakrin himself.
  • Ultimate: Totemic Charge: Changed [Max Health Up] to buff, and can be dispelled. The increase and decrease of Max. HP will be changed based on the target’s current HP.

Edicris (Rework)

  • Trait – Refracting Prism (Rework): When attacking, there is a 35% chance to launch a bonus attack; When successfully removing a positive effect, there is a 35% chance to launch a bonus attack. Bonus attacks deal 60% damage and remove 1 positive effect. Can be triggered twice per Round.
  • Ascended: Grant this character [Ability immunity] at the start of the Battle. When attacking, there is a 35% chance to launch a bonus attack; When successfully removing a positive effect, there is a 35% chance to launch a bonus attack. Bonus attacks deal 60% damage and remove 1 positive effect. Can be triggered twice per Round.
  • Basic – Focused Beam (Rework): Deals 100% damage to an enemy and removes 1 positive effect.

    Zachary

    • [Before] Chaos Slaughter (Trait → Ascension) Upon defeating an enemy, launches a bonus attack to deal (50% → 80%) damage to all enemies.
    • [After] Chaos Slaughter (Trait → Ascension) Deals 50% damage to all enemies in a bonus attack when this character or a team member defeats an enemy. This ability may only be triggered once per turn for ally kills, but any number of times for this character’s kills.

    Thank you for playing the Awaken: Chaos Era soft launch. With global opening only a few days away, our game developing team would like to express our gratitude for you playing ACE, address some of your most concerning issues, and tell you more about our plans for the game.

    ACE could not have been in its state today without your support and help. It still surprised many of us how some of you came up with ideas and team combinations to defeat the Bosses. Your activeness and creativity during the soft launch provided us with precious data and feedbacks to keep perfecting the game in the future global opening. We know that some of the changes were not the immediate change you were looking for, and some changes did not work out so well. Nevertheless, we appreciate all your feedback and will keep updating the game to bring you a better experience. @e

    We are only days away from the ACE Global Opening. Aside from the usual routine BUG fixes and game improvements, we will also add more dynamic gameplay and unique heroes in the year 2022, which includes:

    • [Events] The Winter Festival has ended and the holiday-themed tavern has now been restored to its default state.

    • Wildaxes (Basic): Deals (50% → 80%) damage to an enemy, with a (100% → 50%) chance to apply Taunt for 1 turn.
    • Call of the King (Ultimate): Removes (2 → 1) negative effect from all team members and applies Defense Up II and Attack Up II to the target for 2 turns.

    Rickard

    • Unshakable (Trait → Ascension): Grants ((5% → 10%) → (10% → 20%)) Damage Reduction upon taking damage. (Max 3 stacks. → Unstackable)
    • Mighty Strike (Basic): Deals 80% damage to an enemy, with a (80% → 50%) chance to apply Attack Down for 1 turn.
    • Brutal Hammer (Special): Removes all negative effects. Deals 100% damage to an enemy and restores 30% of Max Health. → Removes all negative effects. Each removal restores 10% of Max Health. Deals 100% damage to an enemy.

    Hakrin

    • Totemic Charge (Ultimate): Deals 150% damage to an enemy and grants Max Health Up to all team members. Max (5 → 3) stacks.

    • Arcane Surge (Basic): Deals (100% → 80%) damage to an enemy and grants Random Stats Up to this character for 1 turn.
