Taliesin Bio
As one of the few remaining Ichorians still to walk the earth. Taliesin has always maintained a fervent belief in the natural superiority of his own racial sublineage versus the common bulk of humanity. After that hunt that almost wiped out the entire Ichorisis tribe from Aurelica. Taliesin and the few lucky survivors were driven underground, forced to hide in the darkest corners, yet Taliesin still cherishes the idea of 3 “Restoration” of the glories rightfully belonging to the near-immortal Ichorians. The business of war, particularly the ascent of the Hirschbuck Empire, has provided excellent fuel for Taliesin to prepare for his people’s return. Superhuman soldiers like Taliesin sacrificed much to ensure the Hirschbuck Empire’s success, and it is a sacrifice the Empire will repay – willing or not.
Taliesin has been driven to take every conceivable step to conceal his identity given the chronic abuse his kind suffered at the hands of “typical” humans. Yet even the best efforts cannot avoid exposing Taliesin, at a minimum, as a lesser member of imperial nobility for his elegant mannerisms, speech, and education. However, there are benefits to a centuries-old existence. Taliesin used his connections and service record with the Imperial Army to establish the largest trading post in the Empire. In reality, Taliesin’s thriving business, which for all intents and purposes has enriched him beyond measure, is nothing more than a front for Taliesin to supply his people with readily available funds whenever the Time of Restoration arrives. Taliesin’s wealth has also bankrolled years of clandestine searching for his kinsmen. Many letters have been sent out by dark messengers on horseback to potential Ichorian recipients. None have yet been returned.
But there is hope. Taliesin’s impressive contacts have recently informed him of the news of several peculiar bodies piled up in the Lasir morgues. These bodies seem to have been set upon by wild beasts with the strange exception of their nearly total loss of all blood. Such wonderful news may indeed warrant Taliesin’s personal investigation…
