Zatlux Review

Zatlux is an Epic Offense Wood hero from Dragonscale Marsh in Awaken Chaos Era. You can obtain Zatlux as a reward by completing the challenges in Covenants! Zatlux’s skills revolves around dealing massive amount of damage to a single-target enemy and performs a killing spree if he is able to defeat the enemy within that turn with his ultimate ability. This makes him one of the best mob clearer for speed farming Adventure and Dungeons.

Bloodthirst is Zatlux’s unique trait that enables him to reset all of his abilities if he is able to perform a kill. This trait synergizes with his Feast of Carnage ultimate ability to allow him to constantly use the ultimate skill for every bonus attack he gains!

Blade of Death is his basic ability that attacks an enemy while simultaneously granting him a Speed Up buff to himself for 1 turn. If he is speed tuned to go last and within the 30 speed range of your faster attacker, this buff can allow him to go first in the next round to perform the finishing blow on the enemy who has little health left.

Assassin Training is Zatlux’s passive skill that grants him a permanent 30% Critical Rate and 30% Precision. These additional stats are not reflected directly in the Hero Information Tab, which means you will need to make a mental note not to provide him over 70% Critical Rate as it will not increase his damage. It’s recommended to give him with a higher amount of Attack% and Critical Damage stats once you achieve the minimum Critical Rate stats to boost his single-target damage output significantly.

Feast of Carnage is his ultimate skill that allows him to deal an incremental amount of damage as defeats each enemy in the battlefield. When paired with his Bloodthirst trait, he can reuse this skill multiple times provided he is able to defeat the enemy with this skill to gain a bonus turn! If your gear isn’t great, you can pair with AoE Attackers such as Hydrissea, Evera or Valeria to bring down the enemies health low enough for Zatlux to perform the finishing kill on all of the enemies.

Zatlux Attacker Build

The recommended stats to prioritize on Zatlux are Attack, Critical Rate, Critical Damage and Speed. Attack, Critical Rate and Critical Damage are vital stats for Attacker heroes to inflict high amount of damage to their opponents. If he is provided with sufficient damage, he can knock out the enemy with his ultimate ability and reset its skill cooldown to repeat the attack again! Speed is crucial depending on how you setup your team sequence. If Zatlux is able to defeat the enemy without any support, then you can bring his speed up to clear the waves first for speed running No Man’s Land and Arcane Dominator dungeons. Otherwise, speed tune him to go last in your team to perform the finishing blow with his ultimate ability. The best gear for Zatlux is Assassin Set as it allows him to have a 50% chance to increase his damage output by 35%! Warrior Set is a good side set to increase his Attack stats for more damage.

Zatlux Bio

The spectral lizardmen are certainly one of the most enigmatic casts of the lizardmen dwellers in the dark, deep corners of Dragonscale Marsh, who themselves remain a significant enigma to the other races with whom they share their little interaction. There is no doubt spectral lizardmen would be considered one of the rarest sights for any adventurer to venture deep within Dragonscale Marsh, and the group make up the natural scouts, pathfinders, and assassins of their species owing to their extraordinary nimbleness, magical sensitivity, and uncanny short-term instincts about the future.

Zatlux has distinguished himself above and beyond his spectral brethren as a true master assassin and practitioner of the “Spiral Blade” technique that unites swordplay with magic in a deadly combination as to extinguish the life from most targets with but a single strike. This helps to explain why he is virtually unknown outside of his own people despite having hundreds of kills to his name. Zatlux’s skills include the use of shadow magic, the ability to wield a third blade with his tail (surprisingly uncommon among lizardmen), deflections with three separate whirling blades, as well as various jumps and flips that can be relied upon to psychologically break stronger enemies to survive the initial onslaught.
