Asrina Bio
Asrina belongs to an elf group that has been exiled from the Empire. Her people refuse to bow down and follow the ways of the Empire, as they dearly hold onto their own beliefs. Roaming free as nomads, they wish to relocate and make the Kingdom of the Mountains their permanent home.
Asrina experienced a difficult childhood at the hands of her kin on account of her mixed elven father and dragon mother. Notoriously contemptuous of “half-breeds’, Asrina found herself rather friendless throughout most of her young life with a few exceptions. Savanna, then High Priestess, took pity on Asrina’s outcast status and provided plentiful encouragement and support during these crucial years. Unfortunately, even this small positive addition to her life did not continue for long. An obsession with dragon hunting swept through the Hirschbuck aristocracy, leading to large bouts of fairly well-equipped hunting expeditions targeting many of Savanna’s dragonkin. These unprovoked acts of aggression became too much for the normally temperate Savanna to bear.
Asrina watched her one friend gradually slip into a state of alignment, if not outright allegiance, to the Dark and a power that could wipe out the wretched humans. Asrina attempted to bring Savanna back from this path. She delved deep into the history of the dragon clans and the secrets of her ancestry to find some argument with which to persuade Savanna. Instead of a justification for peace, Asrina found instead details that seemed to confirm much of Savanna’s inevitability. Asrina now finds herself walking down a similar path, but focused much more on escaping fate than inflicting vengeance…
