Kane Review
Kane is an Epic Defense Wood Hero from Sylvan Woodlands in Awaken Chaos Era. Kane is provided as one of free starter Hero upon completing Adventure Normal 1-4 to help you in clearing the Adventure stages along with Evelyn, Celine and Zachary.
His purpose is both as a debuffer support and tanker. He mitigates some damage from allies to himself passively using his unique trait Bear’s Grit. In addition, his basic attack Bear Claw is able to remove buffs from an enemy, which is good against a hero who relies heavily on buffs (positive effects). Apart from that, he can apply Defense Down using his Bear Rush special ability to increase your overall team damage output, especially against bosses. Finally, his ultimate skill Boulder Throw crowd controls an enemy with stun effect.
Kane is a good carry for early-mid game players to farm gems from No Man’s Land bosses to upgrade your hero skills. However, he isn’t great for PvE mobbing as all of his skills are single-target. If you need a supporter to boost team survivability and debuff enemies in boss raids, then Kane is an outstanding candidate to fill in this role!
To fully unleash his potential, he needs a high amount of Health to tank the damage and Focus stats to successfully inflict his negative effects on enemies. Speed is a bonus to go first in battle to apply Defense down before his allies begin to nuke their foes. You can adjust these stats based on the situation and role you need Kane to fulfill.
Kane Skills
Bear’s Grit (Trait → Ascension)
Absorbs (15% → 20%) of damage taken by an ally. If this character starts the turn with less than 50% Health, they absorb (50% → 100%) less damage.
Bear Claw (Basic)
Deals 2 to 6 strikes of 50% damage to an enemy. The first strike will remove a positive effect while subsequent strikes have a 40% chance to remove 1 positive effect.
Level 2: Damage of each strike +5%.
Level 3: Damage of each strike +5%.
Level 4: +10% chance to trigger.
Bear Rush (Special, Cooldown: 3 turns)
Deals 110% damage to an enemy and applies Defense Down II for 2 turns.
Level 2: Damage +10%.
Level 3: Ability cooldown is reduced by 1 turn.
Level 4: Damage +10%.
Level 5: Damage +10%.
Defense Down II: -50% Defense.
Boulder Throw (Ultimate, Cooldown: 4 turns)
Deals 220% damage to an enemy and applies Stun for 1 turn. Grants Shield equal to 20% of MAX HP for 2 turns to self.
Level 2: Damage +20%.
Level 3: Ability cooldown is reduced by 1 turn.
Level 4: Damage +20%.
Level 5: Ability cooldown is reduced by 1 turn.
Level 6: Damage +20%.

Kane Bio
Kane is centuries-old and the last known surviving pandaran warrior. Most of his clan have been killed in one conflict after another against other jungle inhabitants or their great war against elves. Bloodbeast Jungle has always been an unsettled place even before the establishment of the Well of Desires, Soulplunder’s headquarters in the Jungle. Indeed, the Jungle has been home to dark chaos energies for centuries, a corrupting power that the pandarans have been mercifully protected from thanks to their age, wisdom, and natural fortitude.
However, Helmar and Valeria’s arrival to the jungle seems to have tipped it into much greater violence, and Kane has been heartbroken to witness many of his noble comrades take up arms against each other and the elves, a conflict his people have always argued against. Helmar’s dominance over the jungle has compelled all clans, including the pandarans, into all-out war against the elves in which most of Kane’s comrades have lost their lives.
Kane can no longer stomach war and pointless conflict, and yet is honor-bound to continue for his clan’s glory.
