Ghajar Bio
Ghajar is a member of Eastern Camala, and a regular voyager and Chief Doctor on the Camalan galley ship “Orakeen”, one of the most well-travelled merchant vessels along the spice route between Aurelica’s main Hirschbuck-dominated continent and the so-called Oriental Kingdoms, which provides the empire with a steady stream of exotic foods and spices.
Sadly, the Orakeen’s string of successful voyages would come to a sudden end with a new and mysterious illness that began to spread among the crew members on a routine return voyage from Golden Shores. The plague appeared to work unstoppable and permanent effects on its sufferers, and even the highly skilled Ghajar found his seagoing medicines useless against the strange new affliction. The crew made a desperate port-of-call seeking assistance from the Hirschbuck Empire’s harbor masters in Jade Bay, but the expected medical supplies were not forthcoming. Instead, the Imperial harbor masters maintained strict quarantine and kept the Orakeen far from Imperial shores under
threat of force.
The crew gradually began to expire from the strange disease until finally the Orakeen left the harbor under cover of night to disappear back into the deep ocean from whence she had come. So was the legend of the Orakeen and its mysterious illness born, a tale of woe that inspired much conjecture among the Empire and the Free Cities as no maladies of a similar nature have since been observed on the Eastern routes.
A new addition to the story has appeared of late with rumors that the chief doctor of the Orakeen has been sighted alive, and only alive, but roaming the hinterlands and the Free Cities dressed in a crazy apparel, an associate of snakes and wild beasts and involved in the concoction of various poisons and strange elixirs. Rumor has it that of all the unhappy sailors to perish aboard the doomed Orakeen, Ghajar alone survived and that only because he gets struck a deep and unholy pact with some great terror from beneath the distant ocean. Moreover, the legends also say that the once kindly, mild-mannered good doctor has turned into a cruel-hearted poison maker, ready to inflict vengeance on the Imperial landlubbers who have wronged him with the dreadful “cursed teeth” filled with ancient sea poisons in deadly elixirs designed to explode upon contact with flesh and melt bone from sinew. It is difficult to ascertain the truth of these rumours.
It must be this heroes stats, as they are quite low, that makes him this bad. Santis is a great poisoner, and I use him with my Gangelo to put out extra poisons and he works well.
