Cruetraxa Champion Lore

Among many other damnable titles, Cruetraxa is known as the Mother of Blades, Queen of the Infernal, and the Unseeing Eviscerator. She is a Firstborn Demon and, if the stories are to be believed, one of Siroth’s oldest and closest confidants.

After Lumaya’s abandonment of the Dance of Darkness, Cruetraxa was among the first to urge Siroth to take up arms and assert his superiority. Among some Firstborn it is claimed that she had a hand in the origins of the primordial dispute, though that is false. Whether it is a lie spread by Cruetraxa’s enemies to undermine her standing and characterize her as a treacherous schemer, or one spread by her allies to further show her favor and influence with the great Siroth is unclear — perhaps it is both.

Cruetraxa is said to have surrendered her sight to prove her loyalty to her god, a sacrifice that elevated her to her lofty position. Such influence, however, comes with a less obvious cost. Cruetraxa’s position is eyed by countless others. Down the ages, Cruetraxa has turned her potentially precarious position on its head by casting herself as a Demonic matriarch, a mother-like figure and, at times, a kind of consort to Siroth, who has long seemed willing to indulge Cruetraxa’s Firstborn eccentricities in exchange for her fanatical commitment. She has taken on the role of adviser to many lesser Demons and Demonspawn — they venerate her and seek her counsel and favor, believing that with it they will have a more direct link to Siroth himself.

Cruetraxa encourages this, offering much wisdom and assistance to those craving her guidance. Those selfsame Demonspawn find themselves indebted to her, but such is Cruetraxa’s subtlety and artfulness in the game of Anathraad politics that many only realize they have become her pawns once it is already far too late. Just how much influence Cruetraxa really has with the Shadow God can never be proven but, by characterizing herself as his most favored, she has helped ensure her position is rarely challenged, an unusual thing in the dangerous realities of Anathraad.

While Cruetraxa has worked carefully to play the part of the matriarch of Demon-kind, her manifestations in Teleria are anything but tender and motherly. When the self-styled Queen of the Infernal marches to war, she often does so with a retinue of sycophants and Demonic courtiers. Such devotion to her even extends to other devotees of Siroth too, whether vampire, necromancer, or other, for the support of the infamous Mother of Blades is sought after by any kind of Siroth’s followers. Many are the Demonspawn who would sacrifice the bodies they have stolen to enter into Teleria just to secure a one-time audience with her.

Cruetraxa has warped her host body into an appearance that is as beautiful as it is deadly, though always she remains sightless, her senses attuned to her surroundings in other, unnatural ways. As with that of many Demonspawn, the slender body Cruetraxa has claimed belies the unnatural strength that is at her command. Wielding her favored weapon, the multi-pronged glaive known as Soulspitter, her blows have the power to pierce castle gates and punch through the breastplates and bones of a half-a-dozen knights at once. The tendrils that adorn her head, each as sharp and armored as the rest of her form, dance and weave around her as she fights, often as dangerous to her allies as they are to the enemy, even the tiniest cut or nick inflicting terrible pain. If wounded by them, only the most foolish of Demonspawn would complain, for it is better to be in Cruetraxa’s deadly presence and injured than cast out from her unnatural sight and her favor unharmed.

Cruetraxa Storyline

Favoured by Siroth, despised and envied by her peers, Cruetraxa rightfully holds a position of great privilege in the Demonic hierarchy. She is cunning, vengeful, and, above all, skilled in the art of war. Mortal scholars believe she rules over a vast hellish plane of brimstone and fire, a legion of damned souls and lesser demons at her beck and call. Like all of her kind, Cruetraxa is a creature of vice, her arrogance and lust for power permeate everything that she is. In battle, she appears clad in a terrifying armour birthed of dark magic – flesh fused with platinum and enchanted to be harder than dragonscale. Some demonologists even theorize that the armour, in truth, is fused with Cruetraxa’s body. Whatever the truth of the matter may be, delivering the killing blow to this vile warrior has proven to be a very difficult task. Even when brought low, she rises once again, her wounds healed. Worse yet, the armour appears to be siphoning the life of Cruetraxa’s victims and uses it to keep her physical form from being banished. Her spear appears to have been forged in the same ritual. Its edges can effortlessly cut even through the toughest armour. And with her mastery of the dark arts, Cruetraxa can weaken her foes and dispell the magic protecting her foes.

Cruetraxa is pretty much meant only for arena and FK. Her skills aren’t very useful elsewhere. But she is amazing at those two. The debuff removal is great for dealing with unkillable or block damage, and with Cycle of Violence she almost always gets two attacks every turn.

  2. Raistlin1217

Oops! One debuff and the buff removal. So maybe Endgame bosses but i still think with the right gear she’d have enough Acc. So i also still think im missing something lol

Firstly, Ayumilove i frlippin love this site and recommend it to everyone I talk to needing this kind of support. Thanks so much for your work and time spent here! U da best!
So that said this is not a critique, I’d really like to know the thought behind spending all the scrolls on Acc skills for her one debuff (on 4 turn CD, that should be easy enough to get with gear stats.) When there are some also pretty useful skill in Def tree? Is it so can focus gear stats on more damage? I just pulled this champ (pretty excited bout it lol) so if im missing something would deffenitly like to know! Sry for the extra long post all!

@Spudd: Do you really mean Reflex (chance to reduce cooldown), or Relentless (chance to take an extra turn)?

  5. Oolak

Spudd, Thanks for that recommendation!! I put her in Reflex based on your post and she dominates.

  6. Hisisg

    Missing Faction Crypts rating

  7. Spudd

I put him in Reflex set and omg…. Area killer. Him apoth and skullcrown just smoke fire night. I have in master set up similar to skull crown but ending in giant slayer. My record is 5 turns I. A row as his a2 also grants a extra turn. Total hits 15

  8. GloriousGusto

I have her in a Savage set as well. I went for crit damage instead. Savage plus Crit damage sets work pretty well together. With her stats she just removes opponents out of the arena scene. Her A2 does roughly 40-80K normally. I’ve seen it go above 90K before though. She’s definitely a fun champion despite lacking any AOE.

  9. Mad Templar

Well i have to say, if you’re looking for someone to teach Rotos some manners then she’s your man. single big hits dont work on him but Her A1 wipes him out so its just a mater of who goes first. I have a Savage Set on her works really well.

do you know if ignore def from set, skills and helmsmasher all stack? if so then i think this is the way to go. it means %100 ignored def then helmsmasher procs. on A1
