Towering Titan Storyline

Captured by the Dark Elves, these two ogryn brothers were meant to be little more than cattle for the arena. Though they have proven to be far more skilled and resilient than their captors imagined. By their combined skill and teamwork, the Cagebreaker and the Towering Titan – as they became known to the audience – not only survived, but managed to gain something of a following. Still, their ultimate fate was decided and the two relentless brothers were to meet their end at the hands of the reigning Champion, Grandhammer. Or so it was planned by the slavemasters.

Grandhammer himself had little desire to keep on shedding blood in the name of slavers that kept him bound and tortured with unspeakable magic. Thus he hatched a plan to escape, one that he managed to share with his would-be opponents the night before the grand performance. Though less than keen on such risk at first and suspecting cowardice, the ogryns were convinced in the end and agreed to follow Grandhammer’s lead. When the time came, they staged bloody and ruthless combat against each other, distracting arena guards. At the same time, Grandhammer and other gladiators attacked their tormentors, and soon enough both Cagebreaker and Towering Titan joined their fellow slaves in that uprising.

Once free, they chose to return to their tribe, bearing masterfully crafted gladiator armour and weapons the Dark Elves equipped them with. Such mighty defenders are sure to dissuade further slaver raids against their kin.

PS. I’m looking out to get one for myself in the future……………….

All I know is that My Level 6 Brogni just got plastered by one of these brutes and My particular Brogni usually takes down most Bosses virtually by himself! Who the hell built that beast?

  3. MOD

When you call it “taunt” set, are you actually referring to Provoke set?

  4. Earl Roethke

The video by mAd Capper was done before his damage was changed from attack based to HP based. Is the assessment in the video even relevant now?

  5. Nephi64

He is a tank when loaded with HP and and food shield set. Paired with Scyl of the Drakes, they can beat all of Brutal campaign and earn you 3 stars. I booked Scyl but have not fully booked TT. I use him all the time as a 6 star stud with Scyl

@Thomas Åberg: I have updated the recommended artifact set from Offense Set to Life Set and Immortal Set. Previously Towering Titan damage is based on ATK stat, and I forgot to update the artifact set when its damage multiplier is changed from ATK to HP in Patch 4.20.

  7. Thomas Åberg

Why is offence set recomended when damage is basen on HP? Immortal would be a better choise right?

  8. WayUpInYa

He looks foody. Not bad enough to suck, but not good enough to keep. Already have enough CB heroes.

  9. Cloud

Yes. Mostly due to T6 mastery Warmaster. You’ll get topped off every round pretty much.

  10. Goodkind

At 6 stars does Towering Titan do enough damage to really benefit from lifesteal equipment? I don’t have my Titan at 6* yet. I got him early and before I found this guide I ended up putting atk% and crit chance% on him. Hoping he can help with CB and keeps.

  11. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

How would you rate him in Faction Wars? That’s the only place I can see using him in my stable. I have Cagebreaker, but I don’t use my ogres besides Maneater elsewhere.

Wow, so now there’s finally a reason to cultivate a Taunt set. There goes one of my best revenue streams. I’ve gotten so many great pieces, and sold them immediately because I didn’t have a champion who would really benefit from them. Until now.

  13. Nujabesu

Which build set is best on him in general

  14. Grank

Why Blastproof over Rejuvenation? This champ is constantly placing a shield buff on themselves…

@Kevin Fitzpatrick: I have added mastery guide and equipment guide for Towering Titan. He is best as a tanker geared with Taunt Set, so enemies will target him instead.
