Raphael Overview
Raphael enters Raid Shadow Legends as the fiery brawler of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, bringing his raw strength and no-nonsense attitude from the streets of New York to the arenas of Teleria. Unlike Leonardo’s disciplined approach, Raphael thrives in close combat, unleashing brutal strikes that overwhelm his enemies. The TMNT have joined Teleria through a limited-time collaboration event, featuring Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, April O’Neil, and their nemesis Shredder. This crossover pits the brothers against Shredder in a unique Event Dungeon where victory requires more than pizza power.
The fiery brawler of the team, Raphael takes the spotlight in the Hothead Deck of Fate event. From October 13th to 16th 2025, players can tear through dungeons and tasks to earn Fate Points, flip cards, and collect 100 Champion Fragments to summon the relentless Raphael. His aggressive kit shines in PvP, where the Berserk debuff fuels devastating hits and his Block Revive keeps enemies down for good. Built for brawls and domination, Raphael channels untamed rage into unstoppable battlefield power.
Raphael’s kit is all about pressure and raw force. His Sewer Skewer (A1) strikes twice, each crit filling his Turn Meter by 10%, letting him cycle through turns quickly. If an enemy falls, they stay down thanks to the Block Revive effect, perfect for shutting out stubborn revivers. When it’s time to bring the pain to everyone at once, Saismic Slam (A2) comes crashing in. Under his own Berserk debuff, Raphael smashes through Shield and Block Damage as if they weren’t even there, making it a perfect answer to bulky Arena picks like Odin Faefather or Marichka the Unbreakable. Even without Berserk, he still punishes shielded enemies by dealing 50% extra damage, keeping his threat level high against defensive teams. With every crit fueling his Turn Meter, Raphael keeps himself on the offensive, always pressing forward.
Then comes his signature move, Not Today, Knucklehead! (A3), a triple strike that ignores 20% of enemy DEF. Finish the job and Raphael rewards himself with a Perfect Veil and Unkillable buff for two turns, buying him protection while he lines up his next swing. If the enemy survives, the fight only gets fiercer, he places Berserk on himself, boosting his output while living on the edge. His passive NYC Beatdown (A4) ties everything together, letting him join attacks with his brothers and giving him more chances to unleash his deadly A1. When Berserk is active, there is even a chance he will take an Extra Turn, keeping the pressure relentless. With his Aura boosting ally ATK in all battles by 30%, Raphael brings the fight straight to the enemy, turning every brawl into a street-level beatdown.

Raphael Champion Lore Synopsis
Raphael finds himself in a world that feels like it was made for him, surrounded by towering warriors with enormous weapons and plenty of chances to test his strength. Away from Donatello’s constant tech talk, Michelangelo’s endless jokes, and Leonardo’s strict reminders about training, Raphael relishes the freedom of fighting on his own terms. He proves his power against a massive opponent armed with a huge axe, swiftly defeating him with his ninjutsu skills and twin sai. Confident and fiery, Raphael declares himself the toughest ninja across both New York and Teleria.
Beneath his bravado, though, Raphael quietly misses his brothers and the life he left behind. He would never admit it aloud, fearing they might see him as soft, but the absence of his family weighs heavily. He longs for Donatello’s enthusiasm, his playful squabbles with Michelangelo over pizza, and even Leonardo’s strict leadership. Raphael also thinks of April, whose intelligence often carried the team forward. Without them, he feels incomplete, knowing their strength as a group has always been their greatest weapon.
Raphael worries most about Shredder, the enemy who has haunted their battles for years. No matter how many times they have defeated him, Shredder always finds a way back, more dangerous than before. Raphael recognises the constant threat Shredder poses to his family and vows to stop him once and for all. He feels confident in Leonardo’s ability to survive, but he knows Donatello and Michelangelo are more vulnerable and need his protection. His determination to reunite with them fuels his drive.
Though Raphael often masks his deeper concerns with anger and humour, his loyalty is clear. He is fiercely protective of his brothers, never wanting them to face Shredder’s wrath without him. He may present himself as the lone warrior who thrives on smashing enemies, yet underneath the tough exterior lies a brother desperate to keep his family safe. His struggle is not only with Shredder but also with the emptiness of being apart from those he loves most.
In the end, Raphael turns his focus back to battle, refusing to dwell on his emotions for too long. With his trademark grit, he calls out Shredder in his own brash style, ready to face him head-on. For Raphael, the fight is not just about proving his strength but about ending the cycle of Shredder’s return and finding a way back to his family. Whether through brute force or sheer determination, he is prepared to give everything to protect his brothers and bring an end to their enemy once and for all.
