Leonardo Overview
Leonardo enters Raid Shadow Legends as the disciplined leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, bringing his sense of duty, precision, and sword mastery from New York’s sewers to the battlegrounds of Teleria. The TMNT have arrived in Teleria through a special collaboration event, introducing Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, April O’Neil, and the fearsome Shredder. This time, April sets aside her journalism to rally the Turtles – not for pizza, but to take on Shredder in a brand-new Event Dungeon before he seizes control of the kingdom.
Leonardo can be earned during the Swordmaster Path Event, running from October 7th to 10th 2025, where players complete objectives, gather Hero Coins, and advance through branching paths to unlock him and his 5-star Perfect Soul. Focused on Faction Unity Champion skills that strengthen when paired with his brothers, Leonardo offers a mix of control, leadership, and damage, making him a reliable cornerstone for any TMNT-themed team and a powerful addition to any roster.
Leonardo’s kit makes him one of the rare champions who can serve both as a protector and a damage dealer, with his Shell Yeah! (A2) being the cornerstone of his utility. By giving the team Increase DEF and Ally Protection, he strengthens survivability across every mode, while placing Unkillable and Counterattack on himself to safely absorb pressure. This setup allows him to tank hits for his allies while still dishing out consistent damage through counterattacks. The counterattacks also empower his New York Slice (A1), which ignores up to 15% of enemy DEF based on his buffs, making it a reliable damage source when enemies try to break through his protection. In long battles like Demon Lord or Hydra Clan Boss, this ability ensures Leonardo contributes both defensively and offensively without falling off in value.
The real centerpiece of his damage is Turtles Together (A3), which scales with the number of buffs on the field and becomes even more dangerous when paired with strong buffer champions like Siphi the Lost Bride and Lydia the Deathsiren. If Leonardo secures a kill, the skill strips all buffs from enemies, making it a devastating tool in Arena and wave clearing. With additional Turtle allies, his A3 unlocks unique scaling-ignoring DEF, dealing extra damage based on missing HP, and even activating automatically when an ally drops below 50% HP. This makes him exceptionally clutch in high-pressure situations where a comeback move is needed. Combined with his passive, Hero in a Half Shell (A4), which grants Stoneskin when his HP dips below half and lets him join Turtle attacks, Leonardo can snowball fights quickly while keeping his team safe. Places a [Stone Skin] buff on this Champion for 1 turn each time this Champion’s HP drops below 50%. Occurs once per skill. Whenever Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, or Raphael attacks, this Champion will join in that attack.

Leonardo Champion Lore Synopsis
Leonardo, the disciplined leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, finds himself stranded in a strange world far from home. Separated from his brothers and closest allies, he reminds himself to stay hidden, use the shadows, and rely on his training. The new place, known as Kumoshiro, feels both familiar and unfamiliar. It is not Earth, yet it holds echoes of home, filled with ninjas, warriors, and even other mutants. While adjusting to his surroundings, Leonardo struggles with worry for his brothers Donnie, Raph, and Mikey, as well as their ally April. His thoughts keep returning to them, imagining where they might be and whether they are safe.
As Leonardo explores Kumoshiro, he begins piecing together its dangers and mysteries. He sees hints of his family’s presence but no concrete signs, which makes his search urgent. He reflects on Donnie’s intellect and ability to build a portal, Mikey’s carefree nature that might have already led him to food, and Raph’s fiery temper that would make him hard to miss. These thoughts push Leonardo forward, reminding him of the strengths each of them brings to the team. His longing to reunite with them fuels his determination, even as the isolation weighs heavily on him.
The greatest threat Leonardo discovers in this world is the Shredder. He recognises the old enemy quickly and realises that Shredder has already begun training new soldiers across Kumoshiro. Leonardo understands the scale of the danger, knowing he cannot face Shredder’s growing forces alone. The threat extends beyond himself and his brothers; it puts every mutant in the realm at risk. Shredder’s ambitions are too dangerous to be left unchecked, and Leonardo accepts that responsibility falls to him and his team.
Despite the overwhelming odds, Leonardo refuses to give in. He knows that only by reuniting with his family can they hope to confront Shredder and put an end to his plans. His strategy is clear: find his brothers, find April, and bring everyone home. Once together, they will confront Shredder directly and ensure he is returned to Earth, where he belongs. Leonardo sees this not only as his duty but as the only way to protect both worlds from Shredder’s destructive reach.
Through every moment of fear and uncertainty, Leonardo’s sense of duty shines through. Though Kumoshiro is dangerous and filled with enemies, he draws strength from his loyalty to his family and his belief in their bond. His journey is not just about survival, but about leadership, responsibility, and trust in his brothers. Leonardo is prepared to face whatever challenges lie ahead, certain that once united, the Turtles will be unstoppable.
