Tekteon Fissureflesh Champion Lore Synopsis

Tekteon Fissureflesh was an ancient Demonspawn who survived the brutal war against the Dragonkin during the First Great War. When Siroth’s armies were defeated and forced to retreat from Teleria, Tekteon was abandoned behind. The failure of the Shadow God shattered his faith and left him burdened by guilt for the countless lives he had destroyed during the conflict, including innocent civilians. No longer driven by conquest, he wandered across the land in isolation, avoiding contact with mortals and hiding from the hatred that followed his kind. Eventually, he found refuge on a volcanic island within the Argolades, where the fierce heat and deadly fumes suited his monstrous form.

For a time, Tekteon believed he had finally escaped attention. However, Human settlers from Argos arrived on the island and named it Perikras. Tired of endlessly fleeing from civilisation, Tekteon remained hidden among the volcanic peaks and fumaroles while keeping his distance from the newcomers. Even so, rumours of a terrifying figure made of fire and molten stone spread among the villagers. His frightening appearance and solitary nature caused fear to grow rapidly. The islanders blamed him for sickness, earthquakes, eruptions, and every hardship that struck their homes. Though hated and feared, Tekteon accepted their scorn so long as he was left alone.

Everything changed when Mount Perikras erupted with devastating force. Rivers of lava threatened to swallow the entire island, and panic spread among the population. The villagers convinced themselves that the volcano demanded Tekteon’s death and that sacrificing him would end the disaster. They hunted him down, chained him, and dragged him before the advancing wall of molten rock. Tekteon realised the villagers misunderstood the eruption entirely, yet he also understood their fear. Despite the cruelty they showed him, he could not bear to watch another massacre unfold, especially after the horrors he had caused during the Great War.

Breaking free from his restraints, Tekteon ignored the terrified villagers who prepared to attack him again. Instead, he used his immense strength to tear through the earth, carving massive trenches to redirect the lava away from the settlement. With blazing swords capable of slicing through stone and soil with ease, he accomplished in moments what would have taken ordinary workers days to complete. Inspired by his actions, the villagers joined him in digging channels around the town. Together, they succeeded in diverting the lava flow, allowing it to pass harmlessly around the settlement instead of consuming it.

After the disaster ended, the people of Perikras saw Tekteon in a completely different light. Offerings and gifts soon replaced fear and hatred, while stories of his power spread across nearby islands. Many came to believe he controlled the volcano itself, and before long a cult devoted to him emerged, attracting worshippers and pilgrims alike. Although Tekteon remained uneasy about this devotion, he accepted the arrangement for the sake of peace. Having witnessed how quickly Human opinion could turn violent, he chose not to challenge their beliefs. For generations afterward, he continued protecting the islanders while quietly enduring his strange role as both guardian and living legend.
