Sand Devil Champion Roles

Godseeker Aniri

  • Godseeker Aniri is an exceptional support champion renowned for her ability to revive allies, including herself! Her prowess shines in Sand Devil, where she can survive the boss’s AoE nuke by resurrecting herself with her passive ability and then reviving an ally with her secondary skill.
  • The stats to prioritize on Godseeker Aniri are Health, Defense, and Speed. She must be sufficiently resilient to withstand the boss’s attacks before its final AoE nuke, which can eliminate any champion from the battlefield. Equipping her with a Regeneration Set and an Immortal Set is recommended to aid in recovering lost health whenever she sustains damage from the boss.
  • Important Detail #1: In Sand Devil’s stage 25, it’s crucial that Godseeker Aniri’s speed exceeds the boss’s speed of 270. If meeting the Speed requirement proves challenging, consider selecting the Spirit Haste mastery from the Support masteries for an additional 24 speed stat. However, this strategy necessitates the presence of three fodder champions to be knocked out by the boss, granting the needed speed boost on the first boss turn!
  • Important Detail #2: Additionally, Godseeker Aniri’s “Rise of Glory” (A3 ability) must maintain a 5-turn cooldown. Therefore, exercise caution when using Epic Skill Tomes to avoid maxing out this skill. This configuration enables Godseeker Aniri to self-revive when the boss unleashes its fatal AoE Nuke, allowing her to revive her damage dealer promptly! Also, this strategy does not require the Miracle Heal blessing as she can restore the destroyed MAX HP completely during Sand Devil boss slumber.
  • Important Detail #3: Positioning Godseeker Aniri as the Leader is crucial to ensure that her passive skill prioritizes reviving her over other champions in the team. Additionally, the rarity of the fodder champion must be lower than that of the damage dealer. If you are leveling Legendary champions in Sand Devil, place Ninja in the 2nd position in the team, so Godseeker Aniri prioritizes to revive him instead of any other champion.

Ninja

  • What makes Ninja amazing for Sand Devil is he is able to inflict HP Burn debuff that deals damage based on Enemy MAX HP and he is able to activate those HP Burn on the enemy to speed up the run.
  • Though this strategy may take around 4 minutes per boss battle, making it less ideal for farming materials, it’s designed for one-time stage clears before progressing to the next challenge. The goal is to eventually assemble a team capable of defeating bosses within 2 minutes, focusing on affinities that suit your team composition.
  • When gearing up Ninja, prioritize accuracy and speed stats. To determine the specific accuracy and speed requirements for each stage, consult the Sand Devil guide for boss stats. Generally, aim for accuracy equivalent to 100% of the boss’s resistance, plus an additional 25 accuracy for reliability. Regarding speed, ensure Ninja’s speed is at least two-thirds of the boss’s speed.
  • Equipping Ninja with Perception or Accuracy Sets will provide the necessary accuracy stats. If lacking sufficient accuracy substats on artifacts, consider using an Accuracy chestplate and banner. Additionally, pairing these accuracy-focused artifacts with a Toxic Set allows Ninjato apply Poison debuffs, hastening the battle’s pace. You could also opt for Affinitybreaker Set to convert weak hit to a critical hit, which allows Ninja to inflict HP Burn debuff consistently. If your Great Hall Affinity Bonuses for Accuracy isn’t strong, you can select Eagle-Eye mastery for an additional 50 accuracy stats.
  • Important Detail #1: When facing Sand Devil 25 stage, it’s crucial to ensure that the Ninja doesn’t possess any additional hit abilities such as Giant Slayer masteries or Phantom Touch blessing. These could inadvertently trigger the awakening of the Sand Devil boss, which is restricted by a limited 5-hit counter. For lower stages where Sand Devil boss has a higher Sleep counter (9 and above), this should not be an issue.
  • Important Detail #2: In Sand Devil stage 25, the Ninja must have a minimum of 520 Accuracy stats to reliably apply his HP Burn debuff. This threshold can be met through specific artifact sets and Support masteries. Additionally, the Ninja’s Health and Defense stats should be balanced to allow him to be vulnerable enough to be knocked out by the boss after his attack, facilitating Godseeker Aniri’s revival following the boss’s AoE Nuke. The Ninja’s Speed needs to exceed 181, which accounts for 2/3 of the boss’s maximum speed of 270. Any shortfall of 90 in speed can be compensated for by leveraging a 50% Increase Turn Meter boost from Godseeker Aniri upon reviving the Ninja.

@ZeeChromosome: You can use without fodder champions as long as you have sufficient speed (above 181 speed) if you are using the slow Aniri + Ninja/Gnut strategy.

I got so excited when I got Aniri that I fully booked her right away. I assume I can still use this strategy without fodder champs, is that correct?

Ninja can have also Brimstone to increase the destruction of boss’ health. It is worth to mention it.
