Starsage Galathir Overview

In a realm where the dichotomy of light and darkness shapes the very fabric of existence, there emerges a figure of legendary prowess, an elven mage known for his extraordinary affinity with celestial energies. Galathir, the Starsage, stands as a beacon of hope for the High Elves, a Mythical Support champion whose mastery over the astral forces allows him to weave the very essence of starlight into his spells. Not just any spellcaster, Galathir boasts an impressive lineage, tracing his roots back to the ancient ancestor Kael, and with an eclipse as his ally, he channels the power of the cosmos to unleash devastation upon his adversaries.

As the herald of an impending astral tempest, Galathir rejoins the elven legions, ready to showcase his multifaceted abilities that span beyond mere support and revivals. With a flick of his wrist and a chant in the ancient tongue, he initiates the Stellar Embryo (A2 ability), a technique that purges allies of their ailments, subsequently invigorating them with a significant portion of his own vitality. This act of cleansing and rejuvenation is a game-changer across various battlegrounds, from the treacherous Arena to the dragon’s lair, offering a lifeline that is universally invaluable. Moreover, his arsenal includes an area-wide revival spell via Part of the Veil (A3 ability), draped in Perfect Veils to shield his comrades from harm, coupled with a unique passive that fortifies his resilience, ensuring his presence remains a constant on the battlefield.

Transitioning into his starlight form, Galathir morphs into an avatar of crowd control, his powers amplified to manipulate the battlefield dynamics with unparalleled precision. This alternate persona thrives on disrupting enemy ranks, blending an Increase Accuracy & Decrease Resistance tactic that paves the way for strategic debuffs. Like a cosmic puppeteer, he ensnares foes in a web of Stun and Block Active Skills, stripping them of their advantages with ease. This strategic dominance mirrors the cunning of Madame Serris, yet with a twist unique to Galathir’s celestial bond. His passive ability, a clever mechanism that recalibrates his accuracy to counterbalance resistance, ensures that no foe, not even the likes of Tormin the Cold, can easily escape his grasp. In this form, his basic attack becomes a tool of meticulous control, further solidifying his role as a pivotal figure in any clash, a master of the celestial dance between light and shadow, orchestrating victory with the grace of the stars themselves.

Starsage Galathir Champion Lore Synopsis

The tale begins in a time before time, when the gods Lumaya and Siroth emerged from the Realm of Uncreation, a cosmic void teeming with limitless potential. From this infinite emptiness, the gods shaped the universe, creating worlds to explore and beings to inhabit them. The stars, sparkling against the dark sky, were seen as symbols of possible realms, waiting to be formed by a divine or powerful will. Among those captivated by this cosmic dance was Galathir, a brilliant Elf who believed that by studying the stars, he could unravel the mysteries of creation itself.

Driven by his desire to understand the universe, Galathir embarked on a journey to the Cloudspire Mountains, where ancient Dragonkin were said to have built star-gazing centers. In the cold, remote peaks, he established his own observatory, using intricate tools and enchanted crystals to chart the night sky. Day after day, Galathir meticulously recorded the movement of stars, seeking patterns that might reveal the hidden laws of existence. His obsession with the stars and their potential meanings pushed him beyond the limits of conventional study, blending science with arcane experimentation.

One day, by sheer accident, Galathir discovered something extraordinary. When he illuminated his crystal star-charts with powerful magical light, they formed a web of beams that he believed to be a form of cosmic language—a message from the Realm of Uncreation itself. Convinced that he had stumbled upon a way to communicate with ancient, primordial spirits, Galathir began to experiment with the idea of speaking back to the void. Despite warnings and accusations of madness, he pressed on, constructing artificial star-plates in an attempt to summon these mysterious forces.

As the years passed, Galathir became more isolated, with only a single apprentice, Mallul, remaining by his side. Galathir’s final experiment involved sealing himself inside a crystal sphere, surrounded by a dangerously powerful array of magical lights. When the lights were activated, they bathed Galathir in an otherworldly glow, creating lines of arcane energy that seemed to connect him with the forces he sought to commune with. But the experiment went horribly wrong. As the light intensified, the observatory began to collapse, and Mallul, overcome with fear, fled the scene.

The observatory crumbled, and a brilliant burst of light shot into the sky, marking the end of Galathir’s life as it was known. Though his body was lost, it is said that Galathir now exists in the Realm of Uncreation, watching over Teleria and influencing events in ways that remain beyond mortal understanding. His legacy, one of ambition, obsession, and cosmic discovery, continues to shape the world he once sought to comprehend.

    100% best champion.

A BEAST in arena and no books on him yet.

If you are reading this because you just pulled Galathir, congratulations –

You just got the best champion in the entire game.

Galathir is what you get when you give Plarium software engineers a blank slate and ask them to create the perfect champion, and make him so completely busted that there’s no longer any debate as to who the best champion in the game is.

His kit is absolutely perfect and so well thought out. A perfect synergy of survivability and crowd control. Additionally, he is one of a handful of mythicals with alternate forms that complement each other but don’t clash in the slightest.

His base form is the ideal kit for Survivability and game progression. An AoE revive on his A3, with a perfect veil on Allies. An AoE cleanse with an AoE monster heal (25% of Galathir’s HP), a turn meter boost, AND a 2 turn AoE block debuffs on his A2 – simply insane. an AoE attack A1 with turn meter boost for all allies. As if this wasn’t enough, on top of this, you have his passive, that prevents his death on the fatal blow and raises his HP to the average level of the team. It’s basically an inbuilt passive swift parry set with hp balancing – on a 3 turn cooldown.

The base form kit by itself would probably be an S tier legendary – it’s comparable to a Duchess or Pythion. But now we get to the fun stuff – his alternate form.

His alternate form is the best Crowd Control kit in the entire game, absolutely lethal in all Arena formats. An AoE decrease resist, followed by an AoE stun, with 100% placement, on his A3. An AoE buff/stoneskin strip, and a block active skills on his A2. And an AoE tm decrease on his A1. I run Galathir with Arbiter in Arena – if Galathir gets to move before any of my opponents, it’s over. They’re all getting stunned with the first move, and locked out for 2, possibly 3 turns (w Master Hexer) on the second move. As if this wasn’t enough, his passive boosts his accuracy to 75% of his resistance. So rather than have to choose between making him resistant or accurate, just build his resistance as high as possible and you can have both. I consider his alternate form the best cc kit in the entire game with the possible exception of Armanz.

I was almost ready to delete raid since i wasn’t progressing enough as a F2P, then I got lucky enough to pull Galathir, and I even got a 3 star blessing for him to boot (crazy luck, I know). Galathir renewed my interest in the game, allowing me to progress past stages that were previously impossible for me, and helping me break into arena tiers I had no business being in.

He’s the best champion in raid and I hope you enjoy using him as much as I have. Congratulations on your pull.

You’re welcome @Ayumilove. For those who don’t know. This is the most wanted Arena champ of the current meta. Cannot be killed in a single hit (base passive).

@Vhylen77: I have updated Starsage Galathir stat priority. Thanks for highlighting the passive conversion ability!

  6. Vhylen77

I don’t see why you would build him with ACC. Check his passive.
Mine is 800 RES that’s 600 converted, plus 50 base and 100 ‘unwanted’ rolls.
So 750 ACC with 20% ignore RES on top of that … 🙂
And I’m not mentioning his increase ACC and decrease RES on his A3.
Even if you can’t reach this amount, it’s al relative. He is so easy to build.
    RES > SPD > HP/DEF
