Spider’s Den Champion Roles

Bandit

  • To effectively attract the spiderlings’ attention, it’s essential to employ a champion with a weak affinity towards the enemies. For instance, using a Spirit affinity champion such as Bandit against Magic affinity enemies can be effective. However, the Spiderlings have a tendency to switch target if it senses there is a champion who it could kill in 1 bite. Hence, it’s recommended to have all champions to have at least 3 times more health than the Spiderling provoker!
  • For the Unkillable buff to stay up with 100% uptime, it’s important for Bandit to take his turn before Paragon. In addition, the speed gap between these 2 champions must be within 5 speed range to prevent the Spiderling from cutting in to knock out Bandit. Both Bandit and Paragon speed must be above 150 and below 160.
  • Alternatively, you may opt to employ Armiger, a Spirit affinity champion, for the task of taunting the Spiderlings. Armiger’s default ability includes Decrease Turn Meter, which can be beneficial in this role. However, to effectively apply this negative effect to the Spider’s Den boss, Armiger must be built with 100% Critical Rate and 250 Accuracy stats.
  • The choice of Bandit in this scenario is justified by his swift attack animation and his ability to apply a 30% Decrease Defense debuff. This debuff significantly enhances the damage output of his allies, particularly benefiting champions with abilities like Warmaster masteries.

Paragon

  • Paragon’s primary role is to bestow the Unkillable buff upon an ally. His target selection is determined by the leader position within the team lineup. Therefore, strategic placement of the champion responsible for provoking or attracting the Spiderlings is crucial. It’s worth noting that if the champion in the lead position already possesses the Unkillable buff, Paragon will transfer it to the champion in the second position. Consequently, it’s essential for the Unkillable buff to expire on the lead champion, allowing Paragon to reapply it to the same champion for continued protection.
  • The optimal stats to focus on when building Paragon include a speed range typically between 150 and 160. However, it’s crucial to ensure that Paragon’s speed is slower than that of Bandit, with a speed gap of no more than 5 points. This careful calibration prevents the Spiderlings from intervening and disrupting the team’s sequence during battles.
  • Furthermore, it’s imperative to maintain Paragon’s health at a level at least three times greater than that of the Spiderling provoker. This precaution becomes particularly important when utilizing a lower-ranked Paragon, such as a fully ascended Rank 3 Paragon. By ensuring this health discrepancy, you effectively deter the Spiderlings from targeting Paragon, thereby maintaining the integrity of your battle strategy.

Mordecai

  • Mordecai stands out as an excellent choice for raiding the Spider’s Den dungeon, thanks to his ability to inflict an AoE HP Burn debuff. This debuff causes damage based on the enemy’s maximum HP, providing a strategic advantage. When Spiderlings affected by the HP Burn debuff take their turn, their allies sustain 3% damage based on their maximum HP. As a result, when all 10 Spiderlings take their turns before the Spider boss, a cumulative total of 30% damage is inflicted!
  • To ensure Mordecai effectively applies his HP Burn debuff, it’s crucial to equip him with at least 250 Accuracy stats for Spider’s Den 20. This calculation is determined by the formula: 11 Accuracy x 20 stages + 30. Whether you’re using Mordecai in alternative team compositions for Stages 21 to 25 of Spider’s Den, the required Accuracy stats remain consistent with those needed for Stage 20.

Visix the Unbowed

  • Visix the Unbowed is among the legendary champions awarded to players who log in daily for 270 days. She stands out as a formidable option for crowd control, as her default ability reduces her target’s turn meter while simultaneously boosting her own, proportionate to the amount decreased. Compared to Armiger, Visix offers a superior crowd control capability. Being of Void affinity, she is versatile and can be safely deployed on any floor of the Spider’s Den, as she avoids weak hits that could potentially hinder her ability to inflict the turn meter reduction effect.
  • When prioritizing Visix as a debuffer champion, focus on enhancing her Accuracy and Speed stats. To ensure she effectively applies her negative effects, aim for a minimum of 250 Accuracy stats for stages 20 through 25 (Calculated using the formula: 11 Accuracy x 20 Stages + 30). Additionally, it’s advisable to boost Visix’s speed to exceed 220. This enables her to take multiple turns before the boss’s turn, effectively controlling the boss’s turn meter.

Lich

  • Lich is chosen as the secondary crowd control champion in this team due to his ability to reduce turn meter and apply a decrease speed debuff. This is essential for slowing down the Spider’s Den boss, preventing it from taking its turn. This delay provides ample time for Mordecai’s AoE HP Burn on the spiderlings to efficiently reduce the boss’s health.
  • For Lich, it’s advisable to prioritize Accuracy and Speed stats, mirroring the recommendations for Visix the Unbowed. Aim for a minimum of 250 Accuracy and a speed of over 200 for stages 20 and above in the Spider’s Den dungeon raid. These stats ensure consistent turn meter reduction on the Spider’s Den boss, optimizing your team’s performance.
