Why aren’t more people talking about Hellfang & Hound Spawn for Doom Towers??
I had no idea! I’ve had Hound fully “booked” for a while (with duplicates from farming Brimstone Path, obviously; NEVER ACTUAL TOMES, for anyone out there who’s new). I’d been wanting to try him out with his partner just for fun, and so I was waiting to get Hellfang, but when I finally did get him a few weeks ago, I ended up not using or building him right away as I was reticent to invest good gear / silver / books on a champion rated this low … I even came close to using him as food but by some divine intervention I had pulled a soul for him so I awakened him and kept him.
Meanwhile I was using other champions for my team for Bommal the Dreadhorn, but I just realized today that Hellfang was my only champion with AoE freeze — and I’m not even F2P lol … just terrible luck on rng I guess.
Anyway, now I can actually deal with Bommal’s bombs a little better. Add Hound Spawn’s nuke and BOOM. Plus nice combo for other content as well!!
Even as someone who spends on the game, I don’t have the most OP champions, so viable rares are a Godsend. But especially if you’re a free player I think these 2 are very F2P-friendly. EXTREMELY underrated especially for Dreadhorn in Doom Towers.
For arena, if you don’t want to invest too much energy, you just basically go for the 5% debuff landing chance in support tree, and all other goes for accuracy and damage boosts
Him placing freeze debuff is the only thing u need him on arena, preparing a field for his brother
Is there a Masteries guide on Hellfang?
Just as a joke, my faction wars team is Lord Shazar and his 3 hunting dogs, Fellhound, Hellfang, and Hound Spawn.
It’s not terrible; but it’s obvious that Shazar and Fellhound are carrying it hard.

Hell Hades points him out as one of the best campaign farmers, and a huge asset for Fire Giant, and the #22 rare in the game (revised video) … check it out
New to your guides but love them so far! Just wondering if you can comment on the Hellfang + Hound Spawn combo’s potential? If I understand correctly, and everything goes just right, they would:
– AoE and Freeze
– AoE that ignores DEF and [Block Damage] buffs
So, for example, you could have a team with speed lead, this pair and heavy hitter to finish many arena teams/campaign waves while they’re frozen. Any defense heavy or S tiers remaining, you have can put target’s skills on cooldown or [Weaken] AND stun or 60% [Decrease DEF] the very next round before hitting hard again.
There must be some team setup to leverage this pair, right? I’m pretty new so idk.. and honestly, I just happen to have this pair early game (just got my free High Khatun today and I’m stuck at Arena Silver 1 mission on my 2 f2p accounts) so I’m just hoping gurus like you can show me how to pass bronze 3 when it seems F tier epics are best I can get from sacred and void pulls :'(

Any opinion on pairing with Hound Spawn? Seems you’re not a fan of either one. Just got my first Hellfang, and thought I’d take him and one Hound Spawn up to 5/50 and see how they work on my faction crypts team. This writeup suggests that might not be worth the effort.
