Vault Keeper Wixwell Overview

A new era of character development dawns with Vault Keeper Wixwell, the guardian of the sprawling vault in the realm of Raid Shadow Legends. Players wield the power to shape Wixwell’s destiny through a voting process, opting resoundingly for Defense Focus on all abilities. This endeavor underscores Raid’s commitment to player engagement, inviting adventurers to mold the evolution of champions and forge their own path to victory. Wixwell joins Raid in Patch 8.50 as part of the Community 2024 Champion Fusion Event.

At the heart of Wixwell’s arsenal lies the Intercept buff, a game-changing addition that revolutionizes battlefield dynamics. As the first champion to introduce Intercept, Wixwell empowers players with potent Crowd Control and protection effects, enhancing strategic options in combat. Understanding the mechanics of Intercept is paramount for mastering its potential, as it blocks incoming crowd control effects and maintains its resilience even amidst simultaneous debuff-blocking measures.

Strategic ingenuity comes to the fore when harnessing Intercept’s versatility in battle. Against formidable adversaries like the Head of Torment, pairing Intercept with champions boasting Perfect Veils provides a tactical advantage. This symbiotic relationship between Intercept and complementary abilities ensures the safety of key allies, fortifying your ranks against even the most relentless onslaughts.

Beyond his defensive prowess, Wixwell proves to be a force to be reckoned with on the offensive front. His capacity to place Counterattacks through his passive skill and unleash provoke with his default ability strikes fear into the hearts of adversaries like the Head of Decay and the Magma Dragon. With a skill set finely tuned for synergy, Wixwell emerges as a versatile asset capable of overcoming diverse challenges, whether facing Demon Lord Clan Boss, Hydra Clan Boss, Doom Tower Bosses, or hordes of enemies. By strategically combining Increase Defense and Shield buffs while inflicting Decrease Attack debuffs on foes, Wixwell ensures the resilience and triumph of your team against all odds. Embark on your journey with Wixwell at your side, and let victory be your guiding light in the ever-expanding world of Raid.

Vault Keeper Wixwell Champion Lore Synopsis

Vault Keeper Wixwell’s journey began as a rebellious child in the Land of Rebirth monastery, where he never fully accepted the teachings imposed on him. One day, he stumbled upon a secret trapdoor while exploring the monastery’s wine cellar. His curiosity led him down a hidden ladder into a vast, dark cavern. Startled by the footsteps of Edicus, the old groundskeeper, Wixwell decided to keep his discovery a secret for the moment. Later, when he returned, he found Edicus in the chamber, sorting through mysterious items. Although Edicus noticed him, the old man wasn’t angry—just shocked. This encounter set the stage for Wixwell’s fascination with the hidden world beneath the monastery.

Over time, Edicus revealed the truth to Wixwell: he was a Vault Keeper, protecting treasures and powerful Shards for the Arbiter, a figure the Order rejected. Intrigued by this revelation and the caverns’ secrets, Wixwell returned to Edicus for more lessons. These hidden teachings slowly changed his worldview, making him question the Order’s authority. Edicus showed him ancient texts, the Apocrypha, which contained stories of heroes tied to the Arbiter’s Shards. Eventually, Wixwell’s growing distrust of the Order and his rebellious nature clashed with his mentors, pushing him to reject their teachings entirely.

When the time came for Wixwell’s pilgrimage, he chose a different path. Instead of following his assigned journey, he secretly descended into the caverns and never returned to the monastery. Edicus, now old and frail, made Wixwell his successor as Vault Keeper. Determined to safeguard the treasures hidden below, Wixwell dedicated himself to exploring the vast vault, filled with traps, illusions, and hidden artifacts. Over the years, he mapped the intricate tunnels, surviving on cave-dwelling creatures and spring water as he unraveled the vault’s mysteries.

Decades passed, and Wixwell’s isolation and obsession with the vault transformed him. His maps became cryptic, filled with symbols only he could understand. His hair turned white, and his mind slowly deteriorated, yet he remained physically strong. Wixwell wandered the dark caverns, muttering to himself, more creature than man. After seventy years, he encountered Chronicler Adelyn, who found one of the vault’s entrances and sought to uncover its secrets. At first, Wixwell recoiled from her presence, but her patience won his trust.

Adelyn now faces a dilemma: should she reintegrate Wixwell into the modern Vault Keeper network or leave him to his solitary existence? She has repeatedly asked Wixwell if he would train a successor, but his answer remains elusive. As Adelyn continues her visits, she wonders whether Wixwell will ever find the resolve to pass on his knowledge or remain lost in the vault he has protected for so long.

@TheDarkCloud: I have updated Vault Keeper Wixwell’s clan boss rating to 5 star. Thanks for highlighting it!

  2. TheDarkCloud

A rank? 4 star clan boss rank?

    These make no sense.

Wixwell makes it possible to build budget teams for any account to one key UNM.

He also makes so much other content easier. Intercept and Taunt from his counters has so many uses.

  3. vIzZeR

    Just 4 star clan boss?

  4. Perico

Building mine as a tank with high RES and DEF, 100% Crit. Rate and some ACC, time will tell if he can survive with life steal gear…

OMG….I literally slapped on some gear and and a simple 2:1 speed tune with achievable speeds…forgot to turn off instant battle for UNM – did 157mil.
You can literally use Apothecary for speed boost, 2x Hellborn Sprites for buff duration increase, Wixwell for the shield boost, and a DPS like Fayne, Geo, Aothar, or even Frozen Banshee to pump the damage. The top speed is in the 270’s with Apothecary. I used Elva lead, Demytha, Geo, Wix, and Hellborn Sprit to do that 157mil. One of the champs needs to be in a shield set so there are 2 different shield types being boosted. This actually works….as of now (5/21/2024).
