Ripper Storyline
Ripper spent several years as a paid gladiator in the City of Ireth. Killing his enemies for the joy of the screaming crowd, he gained glory and fame as one of the most ruthless and deadly warriors in Teleria – until the day that he lost his first fight in the arena. Broken and bowed, he bared his neck for the killing blow. But the blow never came – the elf who beat him declared him a worthy foe, spared his life, and even returned his weapon to him to that he might leave the field with honor, all in the face of the jeering spectators. Truly impressed by the valor of the elf, Ripper offered him any boon he might grant. No one knows with certainty what was asked – only that the next day Ripper departed Ireth in the direction of the Dark Ravine, and that where Wanderer appears, Ripper soon follows. Some speculate this is his task – to seek out Wanderer and bring the traitor’s head to Queen Eva to repay the elven debt of honor.
This champ has been updated since this posting. A1 now decreases MAX HP by 30% of damage, and A3 decreases it by 40%. Aura reduced to 19% Crit Rate in all battles.
new to game im sure im missing but 23 percent crit is how i would use this charater. could drop other toons from thier crit ratiing menas they co0uld put statws in others. like to see the math on that.
Skinwalkers faction wars crypt is a dps race with 12 turns to down boss before the health swap hits again, so this guy is very useful there. I pulled him after I had other champs built. Wish I had built him still, would have been faster than squeezing damage out of the tankier champs I used.
Just built this guy as a Faction Wars filler. He is doing A LOT of damage to single targets. Useful bosses and taking down difficult tanky healers etc one at a time. Don’t be put off by the F rating. He doesn’t need Accuracy, you can really focus on 100% crit and high crit damage. F-tier should be reserved for Epics that have no use whatsoever, weak hitters or debuffers with very low chance to proc or non-syngeristic kits. Ripper is a very simple champ, a good honest damage dealer and he does that well.

I had the same idea! I put my Ripper in Destroy/Speed set, and kept him alive long enough to decrease Borgoth’s Max HP. Soon enough, his defense broke and I was to deal normal amount of damage. Ripper’s an absolute 5-stars for this boss.
Ripper is very good in Doom Tower at Borgoth the Scarab King.
I have him equipped with Destroy set and there are 2 text rows that specify Decrease Enemy Max HP, so I think the items set Destroy works separately with his abilities.

Has anyone tested him in end-game gear on CB when it’s on ‘zero’ / infinite HP? Would love to see how much Dmg the skill does and if it’s worth building on.

Does Destroy artifact set add to his skills decrease HP percentage?
– Are you sure his skills + Destroy set doubles up?
– Also, are characters in Arena capped at 30% hp aswell?

Curious question: Why did you rank him “terrible” when you gave him 4,4 Stars on average?
This guy is a freaking tank and dps why isn’t he in higher!?!?!?!
This guy fascinates me (just got him), but I have a hard time putting resources into him. I put him into the reduce max hp set to double up on his kit, and because it’s just collecting dust otherwise. But what is the use of reduce max hp? Is it some advanced outlast arena tactic I haven’t encountered yet?
Bosses cap at 30% reduction I believe? So it’s of limited use.
Yet he’s listed as high value for lots of dungeons. Are his attack multipliers just so good that he does really high damage, and his skills are secondary? Help me out here!
