Neldor Rimeblade Fire Knight Build
Here are the meticulously tailored artifacts and masteries for Neldor Rimeblade, fine-tuned by Ayumilove specifically for dominating the Fire Knight Hard Boss. Neldor Rimeblade is equipped in a Relentless Set to enable him to have a chance to proc Extra Turn to perform his attacks! The artifacts geared on Neldor prioritize on having a high amount of Accuracy and Speed stat, so he can inflict his Freeze, Decrease Attack, and Decrease Speed debuff to keep the boss turn meter down consistently. The amount of Speed and Accuracy stat varies depending on the Fire Knight Hard boss difficulty, which in this case I’m using Neldor to farm Fire Knight Hard Stage 4 in 2 minutes, and Stage 7 in 4 minutes. Once you have the required Accuracy and Speed stats, you can distribute the remaining stats into Attack, Critical Rate, and Critical Damage.

Neldor Rimeblade Champion Lore
As the Elven civil war tore his people and his family apart, Neldor’s grandfather passed to him a great secret of magical smithing, fearing that otherwise it might be lost in the chaos. The aged Elf described incantations of ice and frost that have to be chanted over ore kept continuously chilled. Even the shaping of the metal has to be done with arcane power instead of a furnace’s heat. The resulting metal exudes a constant aura of cold, enough to cause pain even before touching its surface — a devastating tool of war, provided the wielder takes precautions against the biting chill.
Under their grandfather’s watchful gaze, Neldor mastered the technique alongside his cousin Dirandil, and the two of them forged cold-imbued weapons for themselves. Dirandil created a pair of blades whose contours were graceful but savage, the hilts wrapped in insulating Elven-made silks. Neldor spent his precious allotment of enchanted metal to craft a sleek, bejeweled bastard sword, the hilt bound with gilt wood to protect the wielder’s hands. Their ancient patriarch died, satisfied, just after witnessing this success, and after duly mourning their loss, the cousins were left to decide for themselves what to do with their inherited knowledge.
Neldor’s heart ached from the misery of war. A new type of weapon would create new suffering and death, but it might nonetheless break the bloody stalemate on the border between High and Dark Elves and save lives by bringing the war’s end more quickly. Neldor was firmly an Aravian loyalist and held the Dreamwalker’s followers to be like rebellious children testing the limits of a permissive parent. Dirandil felt very differently. His sympathies lay more with the shadow magicians of the Dreamwalker’s circle. But he, unlike Neldor, did not care to truly commit to his cause. He was out for himself, desiring fame and glory and a test of his skill, wishing to use his unique blades for more exotic tasks than what he saw as menial warfare.
Neldor was grieved to hear of Dirandil’s disillusionment with Aravia, but he was too proud to try to sway Dirandil back to loyalty. Instead he suggested Dirandil hunt monsters to win fame if that’s what mattered to him, and their discussion became rancorous. Dirandil accused ‘smirking golden child’ Neldor of benefiting from their grandfather’s favoritism, and withholding some greater secret the old Elf had imparted to Neldor privately. As they made what would prove their final parting, Dirandil swore that he needed no patronizing suggestions or advice from cousin Neldor.
His failure to reconcile with even his own apathetic kinsman, let alone a true Dark Elf, shook Neldor’s confidence gravely. Years passed as he struggled to decide whether to share his knowledge for the good of the war effort, to teach only a select few apprentices, or even actively try to prevent its spread. The cleaving of Durham from Aravia became total and complete, and it did not surprise Neldor to know Dirandil was among the Dark Elves. But soon Neldor heard of a terrible Dark Elf assassin, whose weapons and whose gang of disciples were known as the Brumal Razors, and instantly realized that this was Dirandil’s idea of a worthy use for their grandfather’s legacy. His indecision swept away, Neldor provisioned himself and ventured into Durham against all advice, determined to reckon with Dirandil’s evil. It grieved him, but gave a grim satisfaction: his own brumal blade could finally find its purpose.
@Kyle: Defense mastery tree is useful if you are going against enemy on a long battle such as Clan Boss and Hydra Clan Boss or solo/duo dungeon raiding. Defense mastery provides additional defense capabilities to ensure your champion is able to tank the damage. However, Neldor Rimeblade is a Fire Knight Hard specialist, which means building him fast to take down the boss shield counter and decreasing boss turn meter with freeze is a better approach, which means Defense mastery will be less useful for him in this scenario. If you are using Neldor Rimeblade other than Fire Knight, then you can tune his masteries best suited for that area. The masteries provided here are just references for you to build your Neldor, so you could either get some ideas on how to build yours.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to use the defense tree so that you could assign him with retribution, and deterrence, with accuracy as his highest one?
@Nug: Neldor Rimeblade is amazing for Fire Knight Hard difficulty. I have been using him to farm for Mythical artifacts there. The stat priority here isn’t in any particular order, just get sufficient Accuracy and Speed stats required for that dungeon, and then push as much damage as possible. He will help assist in clearing mobs in the first 2 rounds with high Freeze and Decrease Speed debuff. If you do not have sufficient Ally Joint Attackers and Freeze/Decrease-TurnMeter champions, then you will need to bump up his HP and Defense stats to be able to tank the boss AoE attack.
I feel like the stat priorities are backwards? Every attack has 1-2 (good) debuffs. I guess if you’re trying to push damage only then ATK% makes sense with the low multipliers, but it’s clear given his kit that he’s pretty much designed for Hard FK. Seems decent for Bommal too.
