Ilysinya Overview

In the fantastical realm guarded by the High Elves, there exists an Epic champion, Ilysinya, whose prowess is the stuff of legends. Clad with the Shield of Aravia, her journey through battles lights up the darkness with an Excoriating Light, making foes tremble at the mere mention of her name. Not just any warrior, she brings a unique blend of might and magic to the battlefield, without delving too deeply into the arsenal at her disposal. Let’s just say, when it comes to protecting her empire, she’s not just playing around—unless you count playing whack-a-mole with her enemies as fun.

Ilysinya’s talents truly shine, not just in the glare of her Excoriating Light, but in her strategic value against formidable foes like the Hydra Boss. Her role extends far beyond, proving invaluable in Faction Wars and beyond. Imagine her, a beacon of hope, striking with her ability to cleanse the battlefield of pesky Block Debuffs with a flick of her wrist, all the while tossing Block Buffs debuffs around like confetti at a victory parade. It’s not always a guaranteed hit, but when it comes to disrupting enemy lines, she’s got a knack for it, making her a tactical genius in disguise. Who needs a 100% success rate when you’ve got style and a touch of unpredictability?

Now, let’s talk about her pièce de résistance: the Shield of Aravia. This isn’t just any old piece of armory. This shield, embodying 20% of her MAX HP, doesn’t just protect; it fortifies her allies with a Strengthen buff, turning her team into an unbreakable fortress. And if you thought that was cool, wait till you hear about her comeback mechanic—a healing factor that kicks in whenever her shield is tampered with. Talk about having the last laugh! In the grand scheme of things, Ilysinya isn’t just an option for those short on block buffs champions; she’s a masterclass in turning defense into an art form, complete with a flair for dramatic entrances and exits.

Ilysinya Review

Clutching the revered shield of Aravia, this valiant warrior radiates a searing radiance that vanquishes any intruders audacious enough to threaten the Elven realm. Ilysinya, an epic champion of the High Elves faction, possesses a forceful affinity and a robust constitution befitting her role.

Ilysinya’s true worth becomes most evident when contending against the formidable Hydra Boss, although her versatile abilities can be employed across various encounters, including the Faction Wars. Unleashing the might of Excoriating Light (A2), she launches a blistering assault upon all adversaries, accompanied by an 80% chance to dispel any blocking debuffs on her targets. Moreover, her strikes carry an 80% likelihood of inflicting a debilitating Block Buffs debuff lasting two turns. While not an absolute certainty, the capability to eliminate block debuffs prior to applying block buffs proves advantageous, particularly if the Head of Mischief has purloined your own protective enchantments!

Additionally, Ilysinya brandishes the Shield of Aravia (A3), shielding all allies with a fortifying barrier equal to 20% of her maximum health for a duration of two turns. Simultaneously, she imparts a 15% Strengthen buff to her comrades, augmenting their resilience. These potent defensive measures synergize seamlessly with her passive ability, which grants her a 30% restorative surge in the event her shield is dispelled, shattered, or expires. In summary, Ilysinya represents an exceptional choice for players seeking champions adept at blocking buffs, as she bestows formidable damage mitigation capabilities and possesses a default skill that may opportunistically confiscate random buffs.

Ilysinya Champion Lore

The High Elves of Aravia are known for their haughty self-importance and sense of superiority. Their rulers reign with an inviolable belief in their own worth, and the nobility of the kingdom exemplify all the advantages of privilege and wealth. Even within their ranks, however, there is a hierarchy of authority, and while the monarch sits at the shining pinnacle, a number of other High Elves are barely removed from the heights of royal luster.

Ilysinya is one such powerful noblewoman. She is the matriarch of House Sinya, which for almost a thousand years has been one of the foremost families in High Elf society. She exemplifies every trait to be expected of Aravian nobility, but few would try to claim that her station and success are the mere result of being born into privilege.

House Sinya is a cadet branch of the royal family of Aravia, and a potent force within the Aravian court. It is not been unheard of for there to be friction between the most powerful High Elf families and the reigning monarch down the centuries, but the Sinyas have always worked carefully to maintain a close and trusted position beside the throne, casting themselves as its staunch supporters. Ilysinya continued that tradition, keeping her family in Queen Eva’s good graces and, in turn, ensuring ongoing power and patronage.

Ilysinya is an experienced and masterful courtier, and a leading member of Aravia’s great and good, but she has long proved herself more than a mere aristocrat. In her younger years she served as a lancer in the Royal Whitemanes, a prestigious cavalry regiment in the Aravian army. The ranks of the Whitemanes are traditionally filled by the Aravian nobility, and during her service Ilysinya not only laid the foundation of the many alliances and acquaintances she would later use in court, but gained valuable combat and leadership experience.

During her service, Ilysinya carried with her House Sinya’s most precious and potent heirloom, the Shield of Aravia. An exquisitely-inlaid shield bearing upon it a rendering of Lumaya in her guise as an Elven goddess, it is said to have been given to a scion of the house, Ansinya, by the Arbiter in ages past. It is a symbol not only of the favor that House Sinya is held in, but remains a relic sacred to the whole of Aravia itself, highlighting the kingdom’s supposed ongoing preeminence in the eyes of the Goddess of Light. Indeed, when needed its wielder is able to call upon the shield and its patron, and blinding, brilliant illumination surges forth from its surface, blinding the forces of Darkness. Ilysinya herself has called upon its glory on a number of occasions, turning the tide of battle in favor of the armies of Aravia.

Indeed, despite her senior position and steadily advancing years, to this very day Ilysinya is not shy of blood and battle, believing that the privileges of high station come with responsibilities that include leading the way in times of war. Following the initiation of King Tayba’s War, she has returned to the ranks of the Whitemanes, bearing her lance and shield proudly, and has proven herself each time both a skilled combatant and a shrewd commander. When Ilysinya goes to battle, she does so convinced of victory, firm in her unshakable belief in the superiority of High Elf nobility.

I was able to finish faction wars with her, level 50, after replacing Belanor, level 50. I will still use her for the mythical fusion, but probably save her for last; I’m waiting to see if I might pull another for the fusion.

  2. Sydofnee

A Traditional Fusion champ for Lady Mikage. Not food if you have not yet done the “free” Mythical Fusion.

  3. Graywolfe

Well I just pulled her, the skills look interesting. I have already finished the High Elf Faction so I won’t need her there so lets see how she does in the dungeons and against Hydra.

Think I will have to try her with Immortal first rather than Guardian.
