Artak Hydra Clan Boss & Dungeon Raid Build

Here is Artak’s artifacts and masteries by ASH optimized for Hydra clan boss and dungeon speed farming. Artak is equipped in Relentless Set and Perception Set, which enables him to take multiple turns to trigger his abilities to inflict more damage while quickly cooling down his skills simultaneously. The primary stats to prioritized on him are Health, Speed, Accuracy, while secondary stats are Defense and Critical Rate. This makes Artak sufficiently tanky to take the AoE nukes by the dungeon bosses, while having sufficient Accuracy stats to inflict his HP Burn debuffs.

Artak Review

Brandishing his blazing axe, the indomitable Orc embarks on a quest to obliterate the fearsome Hydra into oblivion! Artak joins the denizens of Telaria in jubilation, commemorating the long-awaited launch of Call Of The Arbiter, gracing eager players with the chance to acquire him as a seven-day login reward, a true champion among champions.

The allure of obtaining a legendary character without cost is an irresistible temptation for gamers, and Artak, emerging as the most formidable contender since the advent of the esteemed Ninja, holds immeasurable power. Boasting a repertoire of abilities that engulfs multiple foes with scorching wrath while adeptly neutralizing incoming harm through a decrease in attack debuff, Artak’s arsenal demands precision and tactical finesse. To optimize his boundless potential, a prudent utilization of his skills becomes paramount.

Unleashing the ferocity of Purifyre (A3) as the opening salvo, Artak bombards all adversaries twice, simultaneously unveiling the chance to afflict them with a harrowing HP burn debuff, searing their life essence for two torturous turns. Maintaining the longevity of this affliction proves pivotal, and Chaos Razor (A1) bestows a resplendent opportunity to extend its duration by a single turn, all while instantaneously igniting all ongoing burns with the explosive force of Dogs Of War (A2). This symbiotic synergy engenders a relentless onslaught, eviscerating significant portions of the opposition’s vitality during protracted clashes, rendering it especially efficacious in trials such as the arachnid-infested Spiders Den, the frigid bastion of Ice Golem Hard, the unyielding Hydra Clan Boss, or even the elusive Frost Spider.

Artak’s unique attribute, Burning Blood, presents an intriguing facet, augmenting his damage potential, fortifying his defense, hastening his speed, and bolstering his resistance, albeit at the cost of diminishing his maximum health. Whenever the baleful flames of an HP burn debuff ignite, Artak’s maximum health is inexorably diminished by five percent, the reduction accumulating until reaching a formidable fifty percent (concomitantly augmenting his statistics by one percent for each percentage point lost). Consequently, Artak’s judicious utilization of his restorative healing potential, conferred by A3, becomes a vital aspect for his survival, unless he benefits from the support of comrades who possess the capability to mend his wounds. In summary, Artak serves as an invaluable addition to any raiding party, equipped with a versatile skill set tailor-made for overcoming the most daunting trials that Telaria has to offer, thereby serving as an indispensable ally for players spanning all stages of progression.

Artak Champion Lore

Hundreds of years ago, the Gaellen Pact invaded the Kingdom of Kaerok. It was defeated. After seven years of war and pillage, the Gaellen Pact’s forces were broken on the field of battle, and tens of thousands of Orcs, Ogryn, Lizardmen, and Skinwalkers were scattered throughout the continent of Anhelt. But not all of these Gaellens were warriors. For many of the Gaellen Pact, the invasion of Kaerok was not simply retribution for the Red Crusade, but also a reclamation of what they believed to be their ancestral homelands. Anticipating a glorious victory and the purge of every Human in Anhelt, dozens of Gaellen clans sailed to Kaerok in their entirety, families and children traveling alongside hosts of warriors. When the Gaellen forces were broken, these innocents were exposed to the wrath of the Banner Lords and others, and were forced to flee alongside their routing defenders.

None of the Gaellen Pact races suffered that fate as much as the Orcs. Nearly every Orc clan had sailed to Anhelt as part of the invasion, and each clan had to find its own way after the Pact’s defeat. Some managed to negotiate with Banner Lords too weakened by the war to fight them, but most were forced to hide on barren lands or in choking forests. As centuries passed, these isolated clans set about doing what they did best: making do with what they could get. But once the Banner Lords recovered from the Gaellen War, they found even this meager peace intolerable.

It was into this world — a world growing ever-smaller as Banner Lord knights raided every Orc clan they could find — that Artak was born. Artak was the son of Turan, his clan’s warlord – a title that did not fit the Orc well, as he was famous among the clans as a peacemaker. Despite increasing provocations from the local Kaerok duke, Turan refused to allow any of his warriors to retaliate, instead granting humiliating concessions to the duke’s knights. It earned Turan the nickname ‘Peacelord’, a name which Turan himself laughed off, but which boiled Artak’s blood.

Then, one day, the duke approached ‘Peacelord’ Turan with an offer: fight alongside the duke’s forces in a dispute against a neighboring Banner Lord, and the duke would recognize some of Turan’s territorial claims near one of his cities. Artak begged his father to refuse, arguing that the duke could not be trusted, but his father was blinded by the promise of a permanent home. Artak’s instincts were right. The duke’s forces spent the Orcs’ lives cheaply, sending them to the worst of the fighting and to do the dirtiest deeds. The duke won his war, but more than half of Turan’s warriors were killed. Worst of all, when the King of Kaerok came down on the duke for fighting in his own realm, the duke blamed Turan’s clan for instigating the fighting. The duke cast out Turan and his people, breaking his promises and stripping away his land. With his forces depleted, Turan was in no position to resist. Artak was forced to watch his once-proud father wither away to a shadow of who he once was, before the ‘Peacelord’ finally succumbed to illness less than a year after the clan was forced to flee.

It was a betrayal that Artak would never forgive. Not long after assuming the title of warlord, Artak sent messengers to every other Orc clan he knew of, calling for a grand gathering — ostensibly an opportunity for trade and competition, but Artak had a far greater hope in mind. Almost every clan agreed to meet, such gatherings had been called before, and they were an ancient tradition. While Artak’s people enjoyed the games and traded with the other clans, the man himself addressed the other collected warlords. He shouted the injustices that his father had suffered, and the uselessness of appeasement — the Banner Lords would take until the Orcs had nothing left at all, as ‘Peacelord’ Turan had been forced to learn. Artak claimed there was no bottom to the greed of Humans. And so he presented an alternative: war. Bloody vengeance, exacted on the entire realm of Kaerok. Not every warlord agreed, but none stood against him, and so he walked away from the gathering with an army of revanchists.

Artak’s army fell upon Kaerok like a plague, slaughtering any who dared to oppose them. The Orcs cut a bloody swathe through the Banner Lords, achieving success after success, and that led to even greater numbers joining them. All Artak’s victories — all his righteous anger — only made it more difficult for him to swallow his pride when his son, Galek, dared to push for mercy to be granted to the Humans.

Give this monster a Provoke set and pair him with SkullCrusher, they will keep entire enemies in a provoked control loop forever. Absolutely busted!

  2. Gringo Suave

Thanks man. I appreciate you helping me out. I’m still learning and playing whenever I get some time but, never enough 😁

  3. John

@Nalear. Attack does nothing for Artak. I run HP% on the gloves and shirt, shoes are speed but can also be HP% with the right secondary stats on everything.
@Gringo. You need to decide where you are going to use each champ the most and then do the masteries for that content and just leave them, unless you spend. Then use other champs to make up for any shortcomings of the mastery choice if he is in a team. I run a solo farming/dungeon masteries setup on Artak and it still does well in CB/DT/Arena.

  4. Gringo Suave

Love this site. Huge help so thanks to whoever did all this work. I need help with artifacts, like what is best set up for each character? I read the recommendations but so many different options and I guess they’re different for each mode (arena, dungeon, etc. So I have to pay and switch back and forth? Is there an option to save multiple setups for each character??

  5. Nalear

Is ATK any good for Artak?
When his attack is based on HP?

  6. Gamen

The ratings need to be updated. 90% of the teams from Bronze through Silver and into Gold 1 have Artak on D. And I know I am not the only one using him in Offense.
He is a go to for solo farming Campaign, Dragon, and Minotaur carry. Easily a 5 in all of those.

  7. DnA

So I got lucky and pulled a 2nd Artak.

Would anyone recommend making one slow and one fast ? I do to focus on hydra too.

  8. Paul Jan

He can put the speed into your 20 spider team

Fayne – Weaken, Defence Down (A3)
Mordecaii – HP Burn AoE (A3)
Artak – HP Burn activation (A2)
Coldheart – Big hit, tm reduction (A3)
Coldheart – Big hit, tm reduction (A3)

burns finish off the spider if shes not dead already, or Artak A3 HP burns again to do the job.

Because you want Artak for his A2, he can be 5 star, and/or level 1 as long as hes fast enough and level from the spider wins.

  9. John R Holloway

Now I feel like a dumbass. I didn’t know you had a reset option. Wasted a couple of half decent ones before now.

  10. John R Holloway

How do you do a mastery reset?

  11. johan

I’m not sure what you’re doing with him… but he’s my nr1 damage dealer in almost everything except clan boss…. thou I’ve just reached 90 days so don’t have a huge arsenal of champions.
i recently removed [Warmaster] from him just because it wasn’t worth having seeing how it was such a tiny bit of his damage. mine his at 142 k HP so even his a1 does around 25 k plus a3 is a complete enemy arena wiper. at the moment playing in gold 3 … also blocking his a3 makes him very viable for spider hard mode

also thin you should include how much other bonuses you have for example here on Artak cc build on the gear he actually on have 143 acc … where is the other 200 acc coming from ?
res is only 45 on gear yet you have 193 in bonus ?

oh and in set’s I’m using 1 immortal and 2 righteous

love the guides en detail with picture’s and everything. it has helped me a lot way better than Hellhades <3<3

  12. Campa

    @John Holloway
You get one free masteries reset, did you use it up and mess up twice? If so, that’s on you my man.

  13. John R Holloway

I was wondering if they will ever allow you to reset masteries as i royally messed Artak up.

  14. Shawn

Artak doesn’t do any healing let alone of him self especially if he’s in a stun set set. So why would he need healing masteries?

  15. bromius2015

3 stars for SPIDER??? LOL at lvl 1 paired with Akoth gear maxed, no books and no masters he does 5million damage in less than 90 secs while Akoth is hitting 7 million on Spider 24. Definitely a 5 star for spider hands down.
