    @Gaz Mon
    a gear set that would give 40 ACC will give 40 by 1.15 = 46 instead
    a gear set that would give 12% speed will give 13.8% instead
    a gear set that would give 15% ATK will give 17.25% instead
    et caetera

    I love this site as other wise I’d have no clue as to equipment, strengths, etc. I do have a question hopefully someone can help me understand.
    The Lore of Steel mastery is described as: “Increases the Base Stat Set Bonuses of all Artifact sets that increase Base Stats by 15%. This increase is multiplicative, not additive.”

    What does that mean (in simple terms)? Thanks!

    If Aothar is being used outside of the Clan Boss at all, I’d recommend taking Cycle of Violence instead of Cycle of Magic (and personally, I’d choose Evil Eye instead of Lore of Steel, especially if you’re using a Lifesteal or other set that doesn’t benefit from Lore of Steel). Aothar frequently does do a lot of damage to trash mobs, which can trigger a cooldown reduction pretty often compared to Cycle of Magic (which is just a set 5% chance every turn). Then, unlike Cycle of Magic, Cycle of Violence can allow Aothar to use his A2 and his A3 more often, which in turn can trigger Cycle of Violence to reduce the cooldown … etc.

    For Clan Boss only, I’d still with Ayumilove’s suggestions above.

  4. Meliodas

    His A2 places poisons on EACH hit. Pls update this…

    @Guy Ridgway: Aothar is mainly use for Clan Boss for his Poisons. Most of the Accuracy stats can be obtained from Equipment Accuracy Set, Accuracy Glyphs and Great Hall Mastery. This will easily help you achieve 200~300 Accuracy. 250 Accuracy will be sufficient for end-game content. However, if you want to push above 300 Accuracy, you will need to get Eagle-Eye. The only scenario that you only need Eagle-Eye is you are using that particular champion against high resist enemy or champion such as in the Arena, where enemy player build their Arena Defense champion with high resist.

  6. Guy Ridgway

    Hi why did you not go for Eagle-eye? i thought this would be good for him

    @Eraser: Giant Slayer boost up your Champion’s damage output in Clan Boss by 3~5 times depending on how long you last in battle compared to Master Hexer. I would go with Giant Slayer first before Master Hexer.

  8. Eraser

    Hi.

    Do i take at first Giant Slayer or Master Hexer to do more dammage at the CB?

    @GazMon: Some champions skills are unlocked or become a better version once the Champion is Ascended to at least 3-Stars using Potions in Tavern.

    NM – I figured it out. There’s so much to learn about this game & nowhere to get any info except from You Tube videos it seems. And while I’ve seen some very good videos, there are all sorts of things they don’t cover that I wish there were some sort of manual or reference. :(

  11. GazMon

    New player here. I got Aothar & leveled him to 5* / 50, using the suggested equipment guide after reading up on him here (I hugely appreciate these guides!). I’ve been using him against CB for his buff steal – tho wish it were higher than 15% – and poison debuff. However, I’ve noticed a discrepancy I hope someone can clear up as I have no idea where else to turn. In his skills section, it says his A2 is an ascended skill and places 5% poison debuffs, but against the CB he only does 2.5% (i.e., un-ascended). Am I missing something here? Thanks for any feedback.

    First look at site. Well thought out, too easy to find what I need. 😁 I wish more sites were like this.

    @connie ijames
    You don`t. After learning Keen Strike, Heart of Glory would become learnable. Same thing with LoS and CoM talents (Arcane Celerity unlocks LoS, not CoM; but LoS unlocks CoM)

  14. braven8

    Aothar is a great addition with full atk/acc gear if you need a second DPS in UNM Unkillable strategy (using Roshcard and Skullcrusher)

  15. connie ijames

    Please note, you have to open Blade Disciple on Aothar, not Deadly Precision to go to the next tier shown.
    Thank you for the great website, I am happy to have discovered it.

  16. akiskaloz

    @MArt
    Nope, but you can only have 10 debuffs on CB at once. This include poison as well as attack down, def down etc.

  17. MArt

    Is there a limit of Poison debuffs on a target? I have Kael and Occult Brawlerin already in my team

  18. Omadazero

    @Hungalas
    The lifesteal set doesn’t proc off of DoTs, but it does proc off of giant slayer/warmaster. It’s there to keep Aothar healthy against hard hitting bosses when you don’t have top-tier healers like Bad El.

  19. Hungalas

    If we’re putting HP%/Def% on him as main stats, doesn’t that kind of make the lifesteal set somewhat redundant as well? They don’t proc off of DoTs right?

  20. sauce

    is he a replacement for Kael for CB? considering Kael inflicts 2.5 poisons too, using debuff slots on CB for a lower poison debuff, while aothar adds only 5%?

  21. Ayumilove Post author

    @Devante: Yes. I do agree with your comment. It would be recommended to have Aothar to equip HP%/Defense% main stat for Chestplate and Gauntlets while HP/Defense for his Ring and Amulet as his base defense is quite low. I have updated Aothar’s equipment guide section to reflect this since he is mostly used to inflict Poison debuff on Bosses. To achieve this, he will need to be carried by his team members to survive the first 2 waves in Dungeons 15~20.

  22. Devante

    do you think it would be beneficial to change to defense instead of support cuz he dies so fast now.?

  23. Bréon

    Hi ! Arcane celerity/kill streak/giant slayer not on ligth in picture, Sorry i have bad english 😁🇫🇷

  24. Ayumilove Post author

    @Geoff: Thanks for spotting the error! I have refined Aothar mastery guide (from Warmaster to Giant Slayer) since he does a lot more hits overall when fully skilled with skill tomes.

  25. Geoff

    You have written Giant Slayer but have Warmaster picked in picture. Thanks for the great posts, love your site man!
