With the new blessings she might actually be good. I’m curious to see the new blessings tested on some of these units like her. Abysal. etc…

Basically, if you have Apothecary (I do), Apothecary comes out ahead for all-purpose around the game because he also manipulates turn meter in addition to the speed boost. And while his heal is single target vs. group, it also has a quicker cooldown. And yes, the (still) misleading multiplicative vs. additive heal bonus means Apothecary will actually heal for more when booked.
However, you can’t take Apothecary into the Dark Elf faction crypt. And Hexweaver is the closest Rare you’ll get to him. She and Spirithost together are a dream team as support for the Dark Elf faction party. So if you get her, by all means level her to pull her out on Dark Elf crypt day until you pull a better/rarer Dark Elf healer.

@LordSteven-
The other big difference is that Hex’s heal is AE, so it hits everyone, while Apothecary’s is single target. So if she hits two targets (who both need healing) it would be very close to the same amount of healing done. In a dungeon she could hit up to 5 targets. On the other hand, the smaller heal might not save any lives if an AE attack follows.
It also says that Apothecary’s heal can crit and I don’t see that for Hex.

MaiusMalum – Thanks for that tip. I wondered why everyone chose Apothecary over Hex. It looked to me like the healing for them was:
Hex: 15%+10%+10%+10% = 45% and
Apoth: 35%+5%+5%+5% = 50%
But, if I assume the skill bonus works the same for Apothecary as Hex, it is actually:
Hex: 15%(1+10%+10%+10%) = 19.5% and
Apoth: 35%(1+5%+5%+5%) = 40.25%
Instead of almost the same healing, Hex’s is <half of Apothecaries; and Hex can only heal every 3 turns not 2 like Apothecary.
The curing set works the same way, which is very disappointing. It doesn't take Hex's starting 15% heal to 25% but only to 16.5%. With curing and max skills the two would only be:
Hex+curing: 15%(1+10%+10%+10%)(1+10%) = 21.5% and
Apoth+curing: 35%(1+5%+5%+5%)(1+10%) = 44.3%
Curing seems like trash to me. Maybe if it were a two set …

*WARNING* the tooltip on Dark Embrace for levelling up the skill is misleading. The increased heal percentage is based off of the original 15%. So, at max level, it heals your team for 19.5% of their max HP.
@heavy10mm
I think 5* is because she is good as support in all places. But she can’t do anything by herself, just speed up and heal everyone. No damage, no tanking. If you place her alone, she will die.

Hello! I’m wondering why this hero is 5⭐️ in every venue but still she’s only “good”. Hope do these rankings work?
I sure appreciate your website and all the work you do. Thanks!
@Crash Overdrive: I have updated the Hexweaver guide to include mastery guide and equipment guide. Currently, there are few hundred champions in RAID and it will take a while to complete all of them. However, patrons who dropped a comment wanting for the Champion’s guide will be given higher priority 🙂

Is it me or skill mastery image is not showing at all?
