   @Pale Dolphin
   For me, scarab is more about turn meter control. He can put the shields up for 2 turns on a 3 turn cooldown so if that’s all you need him for he’s fine. Build him with enough speed to keep those up full time and it works. But most important is to make sure the scarab never gets to take a turn because it falls apart pretty fast if he does.

   Oh and I should point out, that’s with him at lvl 50, not 60. The rest of the team is 60 but Draconis still lvl 50 and doing fine.

   Sometimes when I am looking up a champion and see old comments I wonder if the champ is still viable, and I realized I continue to use Draconis on my 3 star Stage 21 sacred order faction wars team, which I think says something. Have not replaced him with Fenax, Cupidus, Mordecai despite getting them since. I have him with Cardiel, Cardinal, Shamael, and of course Armiger. Auto iand forget it. I’m sure I could make a faster team or more efficient one, but the point is, if you don’t have end game lego, or even if you do, Draconis really can deliver utility. Good champ.

   hey ash if your talking shield champs maybe take a look at the witness i didnt have a healer of any type and used her a lot.

   I read he has been nerfed. Is he still viable to invest in as a first option before more potent Champions are obtained for the Scarab King?

    @Red Valerian: Draconis is still quite useful in Faction Wars as he can heal and remove debuff too.

    Dissapointed they nerded this champion. He’s been replaced by stronger heals and better buffs by Klodd Beastfeeder, Dazdirk Runekeeper, etc. Apothecary and Reliquary Tender have more utility. It’s a shame because I really thought he was worth the books

    they downgraded this champion , the shield skill increased the turns from 3 to 4 , somewhere between october 2020 until now , ..shame

    Pro tip, book his A2 shield skill before ascending and unlocking his A3.

    @ayumilove Nah, I’ll take your word for it and save the free reset. Your guides are very helpful. They should just word it properly.. or actually make the mastery worth the points.

    Looks like when when I can actually get both HP and speed up, he should be a decent addition with your recommended masteries.

    @Nathan Mills: I have done the testing for Masteries and Skills (e.g. +5% Heal/Shield), all of them uses multiplicative instead of additive. There were numerous people who assumed it was additive but based from their testing, they also discovered its multiplicative. You could also test it on your Draconis champion using the one-time free mastery reset.

    I though shield bearer reads as if it is a flat 5% increase, therein taking 15% to 20%.

    Have you tested and confirmed it is only 5% of the 15%? That seems like an illogical mastery to even do, if that is the case.

    @Gil-more: Shieldbearer increases Draconis’s shield by 5% of the 15% of his HP which is equivalent to 0.75% additional shield. To put into a different perspective, assuming Draconis’s has 60K HP at Level 60 with equipment, 15% of his total HP outputs 9000 HP as Shield. With Shieldbearer mastery, 15.75% will generate a shield of 9450 HP. 450 HP difference is not so significant and I would recommend getting a different mastery that will help improve his survivability. His heal is quite strong if you build him with high HP%, Critical Rate and Critical Damage. However, if you find that Shieldbearer plays a major role for your team, then you can opt for Shieldbearer mastery for Draconis. The mastery shown above is the one that I’m currently using for Doom Tower and Faction Wars.

    Why not Shieldbearer on Mastery level 2? After all he puts more shield than heal…

    @Edward: Draconis is an excellent healer and cleanser for Faction Wars as a Rare champion. I paired him with Cardinal along with 3 nukers and cleared the Faction Wars 21 boss without much trouble.

    Half baked new champion, doesn’t add up nothing new compared to others, much better buff removers like, sepulcher sentinel, skartosis, spirit host… Just to name a few are more efficient.

    I think Draconis in a C rank is quite harsh. I think he is a top B rank. His shield when stacked with hp at 25%. You get him to 50k hp then your looking at a 12.5k shield which isn’t to be knock.
    Spider he would be great with his A3 removing the poisons and healing the character targeted by the spiderlings
