He has aoe provoke skill with %60 chance when booked, gear him provoke set and your chance is %90 now. Unlock t6 defence mastery and %5 for artifact + %5 for skill and your provoke chance is %100 now. Provoke all enemies and this monster will heal your allies through %20 of damage he took. Max your HP as much as you can and don’t care about his def. More damage he takes, more heal allies get. A cool crowd controller and healer.

Guardian set with perception or an immortal piece? Thoughts?

The reason Bergoth is rated so poorly is he compares poorly to Vogoth, who does much the same things as Bergoth. The 4-turn cooldown on Bergoth’s attack-all and provoke is rough, plus there’s no self-heal on his passive, he lacks Vogoth’s secondary passive, and the self-continuous heal is not really any better than Vogoth’s debuff extender. Bergoth has better base HP, Speed and Resist, while Vogoth has better Defense and Accuracy. Bergoth’s provoke does go up for 2 turns, as opposed to Vogoth’s one turn, but is probably worse overall due to the cooldown and lower healing from the passive.

I think Bergoth is better than a C champ overall, especially if you need help in Knights Revenant faction, but Vogoth is likely just a better investment if you have the champ.

He isn’t even maxed out yet (level 35), but he is the last man standing in the Minotaur dungeon, taking down the boss all by himself. I don’t get the 3 star rating.

  5. Ragnarofl

Surely he’s a natural tank for a Counter attack team? Assuming the continuous heal on his A1 stacks up?

  6. Misstic

He is 5* for Faction Wars, just used him to clear stage 21.
I had him in a regen set, and going at 220 speed, with no issues whatsoever.
Just make sure you use his A2 when the boss is about to swap buff, as the Continuous heal buff on the boss does heal him for a 150K, which can prove an issue while trying to kill him in 12 rounds.

  7. Demian

I disagree with the low ratings. 1) Has very good hp and defense stats.
Comparable and in some ways even superior to Miscreated Monster. 95% Hp_max and 140% dif.
    2) Continued healing on prima dex is very powerful.
    3) his second dexterity puts provokes on two turns!
30% increases to 60% and 65% with Frightening Presence mastery is still comparable to those that with 100% chance they cause on a single turn.
For example, in the arena it is better to block 65% of the players for two rounds than 100% of one round.
Excellent in my opinion in combination with a counterattacker and with a stunning set.

@MikeyT: Yeah, Taunt Set could help redirect the attack towards him rather than his allies.

@Justin: For endgame (e.g. Dungeon 20), you will need about 250 Accuracy, approximately 12.5 Accuracy per dungeon level.

  10. Justin

    How much ACC is recommended?

  11. MikeyT

Could a taunting set help him get a few more provokes out making him at least a faction wars healer? Struggling to find his role.

  12. Ayumilove Post author

@Era: I do not see him being much of a help as his Provoke is not 100%, which would be difficult to manage the enemies if its not landing those debuff consistently. Since he is HP champion, high HP means enemies will not automatically attack him. Hence, making his passive not so useful as he could not heal his allies when he is not attacked. In short, he would be not much of a help to players who are already late game (completed the content). However, he can be some help to newer players who are lacking of healer champions in Faction Wars. He can be use as a tank bait against strong affinity (e.g. Magic Affinity) while healing his allies.

    so basically trash?
