MapleStory Resistance Beginner a.k.a Citizen can advanced as a Battle Mage, Wild Hunter, Mechanic or Blaster. This specific job route is determined when you reach Level 10. Resistance are special category of jobs that start in the town of Edelstein instead of Maple Island.

Crystal Throw (Active)
You attack a ranged enemy by throwing a Rue collected from a mine.
Level 1: MP Cost: 3, Damage: 10
Level 3: MP Cost: 7, Damage: 40
Potion Mastery (Passive)
You learn how to use potions more efficiently in order to resolve supply shortage issues.
Level 1: Recovery Rate: +105%
Level 3: Recovery Rate: +115%
Infiltrate (Supportive)
Allows you to hide and move quickly for a short time. Cooldown: 1 min
Level 1: MP Cost: 5, Hide for 10 sec, Movement Speed: +5
Level 3: MP Cost: 15, Hide for 30 sec, Movement Speed: +15
Spirit of Freedom (Passive)
The power of the spirit of Resistance; the power of freedom!
Level 1: Prevents damage for 1 sec after being revived. If other Resistance job classes exist on this account, can be stacked up to 4 times for each character who grants the link skill.
Level 8: Prevents damage for 8 sec after being revived. If other Resistance job classes exist on this account, can be stacked up to 4 times for each character who grants the link skill.
Spirit of Freedom (Link Skill)
When the desire for freedom brings you back to life, you will be invincible for a certain period of time.
Level 1: You will not take damage for 1 sec after being revived.
Level 8: You will not take damage for 8 sec after being revived
Secret Assembly (Active)
Moves you to the secret assembly area for the Resistance’s summons.
Level 1: MP Cost: 100, you move to the Resistance Secret Plaza, Cooldown: 600 sec
Mechanic
Mechanic Dash (Active)
Double tap in any direction to dash. Can be used repeatedly in mid-air.
Level 1: MP Cost: 8, Moves a Short Distance, Cooldown: 0.3 sec
Note: Mechanic Dash is a Mechanic skill that is maxed automatically. You can make the dash into a dash jump by first hotkeying the dash, then pressing jump right after pressing the hotkey while not holding down any directional keys. Dash Jump immensely improves mobility.
Hidden Peace (Passive)
Activate your Mech’s nanoweave fiber to disguise it and enhance its abilities.
Level 1: Damage: +10%, Max HP: +10%, Max MP: +10%
Note: Hidden Peace is a Mechanic skill that is maxed automatically.
Wild Hunter
Capture (Active)
Allows you to capture a monster after its HP falls below 90%. Monsters captured in the Jaguar habitat can be used as mounts. Cooldown: 10 sec
Level 1: MP Cost: 10, can capture up to 5 types of monsters
Note: Capture is a Wild Hunter skill that is maxed automatically.
Call of the Hunter (Active)
Required Skill: Level 1 Capture
Allows you to randomly summon one of the monsters you’ve captured to help you. Does not include Jaguar. Cooldown: 10 sec
Level 1: MP Cost: 10, Summon Duration: 20 sec
Note: Call of the Hunter is a Wild Hunter skill that is maxed automatically.

@Shaun Dreclin: I think there was a new update this/last month that revamps the amount of SP (Skill Points) you get for Beginner Skills. Previously it was 6 SP and after checking today, it seems that they have raised it to 9 SP which allows players to max all the skills (Potion Mastery + Crystal Throw + Infiltrate). Thanks for notifying! I’ll update the guide above 🙂
Hey why does the guide say not to max Infiltrate? I’ve maxed Potion Mastery and Crystal Throw, and I have 3 points left and nothing else I can spend them on o.O
