   Hey doesnt the korean folt town quest line about the seven sins give a 20 and 30 book? This quest line is for lvl 125-134

   @Dongsheng Luo: MapleStory Mastery Books 20 and 30 can be purchased from NPC in 2 locations. Luna in Henesys (potion store) and Illiad in Leafre (directly above Black Friday maid). Mastery Book costs 3 million mesos for level 20, 5 million mesos for level 30.

   I’m so confounded with Scar/Targa Pre-Quest line… I’m playing in EMS and it even shows in the Maple Guide (you know, the purple button to the left) that the rewards is the Fantasy Theme Park Friendship Bracelet or whatever, the helmets and 20/30 Master Books.

   But having completed all the quests related to the theme park, none of them showed signs of rewarding me with a Master Book. I asked on nexon forums for EMS about this but didn’t get any confirmation on whether you can get one or not.

   An update to the info I posted before for MapleSEA: Lionheart and Silent Crusade’s mastery books seem to open up to only your class’ skills, while Golden Temple can give you any class’ skill (I’ve yet to get my own class’ mastery book from that).

   Silent crusade’s book may be slightly outdated (may also apply for Lionheart), for classes that had skills changed at some point. When I opened it for my Wild Hunter, I got Sonic roar book, which isn’t a 4th job skill anymore

   Here’s the info that I’m able to confirm as a SEA player (accurate as of 22/1/2016).

   Grand Athenaeum does give an actual mastery book 20 (100% success rate).

   Lionheart, Golden Temple and Silent Crusade give you a book that you open up to get a specific skill book (not a general purpose one like mastery book 20/30) that does not appear to be 100% success rate. The one from Lionheart can be either a 20 or 30 specific skill book, but I’m not able to confirm how it works for the other 2 yet.

   I’ve tried the Krexel quest but it does not give a mastery book at all for now. As for Latanica, I have a character who’s already 140, but there’s no sign of the quest that’s supposed to give the mastery book, so it’s possible that it’s not available yet, or that the level requirement is even higher for now. Similarly, the Scar/Targa pre-quest line does not appear to be available, nor the Neo City questline.

   Can you please section the guide into parts which apply to GMS/KMS and MSEA?

   The rewards for MSEA’s Fantasy Theme Park and Golden Temple are different from other servers… They don’t give the mastery books!

   I appreciate the effort in compiling this info, but please attach a disclaimer (after testing yourself in MSEA) to the appropriate quest which do NOT give mastery books!!! It will definitely prevent any misleading and possibly time-wasting inconveniences to us. Thanks 🙂

   you get 2 lvl 20 mastery books and 2 lvl 30 mastery books in crimsonheart castle when u finish the quests where you to kill 200 monsters in all 4 portals

    Someone might want to doublecheck, but I got either one or two sets of mastery books from completing the Crimsonheart Castle questline.

    Ayumi,thanks for the guide but I believe it’s not working for maplesea…….
    Been following your guide hoping to save up on mastery books however,it all turns out to just be a waste of time,the ghost ship quest and krexel quests could not be completed as well as the golden temple one……..grand athenaeum did work and silent crusade too tho,it probably is just a maplesea bug,new to the game but can’t enjoy it with these bugs,my problem is with the other maplesea users as well,now debating if I should do the scarlion and targa quest as it would most likely be the same…….

    Hi, did anybody have a problem with the Luden quest Mastery book? I have the Luden Mastery book and it’s for level 30 but the strange thing is, the book is labelled “mastery book: freezing breath 30” and I am unable to level up my “freezing breath” beyond level 10. I was not given the choice to choose which skill I would like to upgrade.

    I have completed the Grand Athenaeum quests and upgraded my “chain lightning” to level 20 using the mastery book awarded. Back then, I was able to choose which skill to upgrade.

    Please tell me what to do right now. I’m neither here nor there… T_T

    @Ohreo Grand athenaeum gives mastery 20 but golden temple gives a mystery mastery book (I forgot if it’s specifically 20 only or either). Source for temple: I did it last night. Source for GA: did it before.

    @michael 130 for golden temple.

    I play MSEA and have done all the quests up to the last part for Latanica and Krexel. Hoping that once I hit 135 and 140 the parts with the books will show up.

    I chanced upon strategywiki stating the malaysia fantasy theme park gives a mystery mastery book at the end. I just started the quest, wondering if the source is accurate.

    Is this also available for MapleSEA? Because I can’t get the quest “Ghost Ship Exorcist”. I can only repeat “Return of Captain Latanica”.

    You gotta add Latanica quest line in Singapore and Krexel in Singapore also. You get a 20 and a 30 respectively.

    @Midnight: You can only do it once. It isn’t a repeatable quest where you can always get a free mastery book 😀

    I believe the Grand Athenaeum, and the Golden Temple quest lines both give mastery books 20 as well!
