Pirate 1st Job Skill Build (MSEA): Everything maxed except Somersault Kick.
1. Double Shot, Somersault Kick (1)
2. Octopushy (MAX)
3. Double Shot (MAX)
4. Bullet Time (MAX)
5. Shadow Heart (MAX)
6. Dash (MAX)
7. Somersault Kick (15/20)

Explanation:
Somersault Kick isn’t maxed due to 2 reasons. Double Shot is much more convenient to kill enemies from afar even though it targets 1 enemy compared to Somersault Kick where you need to get very close to your target to perform the kill. Somersault Kick has a very short attacking range making it slower to train with unless you are in a map where mobs spawns in a tight area. The second reason is if you wish to advanced as a Gunslinger (2nd Job Advancement), this skill is a must to max to unlock Triple Fire (2nd Job Skill), and Triple Fire is used to unlock Rapid Fire (4th Job Skill). Begin by adding 1 SP (Skill Point) into Double Shot and Somersault Kick. Try both of these skill and find which of it suits best with your training style (close combat vs long range). Before maxing these offensive skill, max Octopush to achieve greater mobility. This saves time when you often travel through and forth from training ground to town to repot (a short term referring replenish potions in inventory). Next, max add points into the offensive skill. I recommend Double Shot since it kills enemies faster. It can also be used to perform boss raid on mini bosses (e.g. Mushmom) while evading their attacks from afar. Then, max Bullet Time, Shadow Heart and Dash to improve your overall stats (e.g. accuracy, critical damage, speed) Finally, dump the remaining SP into Somersault Kick.

@ltohack: Thanks for your feedback. The correction has been applied, just that I missed to reply you 😀

Note to self: This page is fully updated to GMS 1.74.

@redhotpower: You can max Somersault Kick instead of Double Shot. Do take note that if you are planning to become a Gunslinger (2nd Job Advancement), Double Shot is a must to max to unlock Triple Shot (2nd Job Skill). Triple Shot required to be max to unlock Rapid Fire (4th Job Skill). For more details on Gunslinger, visit http://ayumilove.net/maplestory-corsair-skill-build-guide/

I know it doesn’t really matter but can i max somersault kick instead or is there a reason I should max double shot

Ayumi, from what i can tell with my level 101 Buccaneer, Fortune Attack (Special) isn’t on the list (GMS). Also, the sp count is wrong. It should be everything maxed but with somersault kick left at 15. (5 dash, 5 jump, 10 shadow, 10 bullet time, 20 doubleshot).

Ok I’ve got a few questions to ask…For this update, Pirates skill will get revamped.. However, I’m wondering what will happen to the old ultimate adventurer skill(Eg.Shark wave)? Will newly created adventurer be stronger than the old created adventurer after the revamp or their both the same? Lastly, I heard that there will be Adventure logbook for the new adventurer, will the old created adventurer have it too?

Hi Waltfeld, I think they will add this patch after they have done with Cygnus Knights Revamp Skills or perhaps add all of them together in 1 giant patch.
