@Excelution: The Blaze Wizard Hyper Skill section has been updated. (Orbital Flame – Range) is added, and (Orbital Flame – Reinforce) has been removed. The (Orbital Flame – Range) is useful to reach far away bosses or to increase training efficiency, so you can hit mobs far away without moving much. However, the DPS is said to be lower with the range increase (aka toggled on) because the faster the orb returns to the caster/character, the orbs can be generated out faster too.

  5. Excelution

    Hey Ayumi,

For the Hyper Skills section, there is a passive called “Orbital Flame – Range,” but that doesn’t exist, and “Orbital Flame – Reinforce” is missing – – I’m confused here.

Also wondering if I should replace “Blazing Extinction – Add Attack” and get all three Orbital Flame hyper passives, and “Ignition – Reinforce” with “Ignition – Max Ignition,” since this maximises boss damage.

I don’t know how important Blazing Extinction is for mobbing, but if not, which of those hyper passives should I replace for it?

@Elesthrae: Thanks for your feedback! I have updated the Blaze Wizard 4th Job skill “Flame Barrier” details.

  7. Elesthrae

4th job level 1 Flame Barrier description seems weird… it doesn’t match up with level 20.

    May I know what’s the name of the cosmetic item seen on your character in the video? The one that gives her the nice purple hair and elfen ears! So cute ;w;

  10. Necrodra

If you have 30 Extra Sp@lv 140 You forgot to do a Quest For maple Warrior

  11. dyas

  12. Stifler

Gives every other character on your account a massive 30 Magic Attack boost

Can i know what is that? I am confusing

  13. Adam A

The Call of Cygnus skills no longer exists in the 4th Job Tier.

  14. yz

  15. Rob T

Why are so many people defaming Blaze Wizs its annoying ???

  16. Ayumilove Post author

@Qriox: Thanks for your feedback! I have removed Flame Gear from Blaze Wizard pro’s section. Happy 2017 to you too 🙂

  17. Qriox

Also, Blaze Wizard no longer has flame gear, so you can remove that pro of them. Happy 2017!

  18. Ayumilove Post author

@Cason Lau: Happy New Year 2017! Blaze Wizard Hyper Skills have been updated 🙂

  19. Cason Lau

update the hyper skills for blaze wizard, its something different now

  20. Ayumilove Post author

@Daisy: Cygnus Knights can level up to Level 250 now as the Level 120 cap has been removed. They do not need to buy Mastery Books 20 and 30 to upgrade their skill which is a bonus especially for unfunded players. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🙂

  21. Daisy

it’s been a long time since i played, now at what level can you start again a new character after reaching level 120 with Cygnus class? i remember back then we reach level 120 and start new class after certain quest.. can you please guide me to it!

    thanks & regards

  22. Ciscu

hello, hope u can answer me: orbital flame – split atack is good or not? at low range?

  23. elementari

hyper skills need to be updated?

  24. random stranger

    you the best (:

  25. Ayumilove Post author

@Orange: Yes, Blaze Wizard Hyper Skill “Orbital Flame – Split Attack” introduced 1 more line of hit per attack but reduces the damage of Orbital Flame. It’s recommended to have that skill for bossing and mobbing because the original damage 330% x 2 hits = 660% total damage VS (with hyper skill Split) 280% damage x 3 hits = 840% total damage. This skill is also beneficial when you are maxing/capping your max damage at 2.1 billion damage because you have more damage lines.

  26. Orange

Hey, attack counts means more line right? When I add the Orbital Flame – Split Attack, it reduces 1m ++ from my damage but it takes similiar hit to kill PL mobs. Should I use that hyper state still?

  27. Ayumilove Post author

@darf: Thanks for the notice! I’ll perform the correction on the “Fires of Creation” skill

  28. Ayumilove Post author

@all: Added Blaze Wizard 5th Job Skills 🙂

  29. darf

    Fires of Creation (Supportive)

at lvl 1 duration is 300 seconds in MSEA~

  30. jwoo2000

If you spam the skill button for Orbital flame I, you can have more than one out at once

  31. SunayamaAi

hi my name is Ai i been playing gms . as blaze wizard . i only play cygnus knights. and can u tell me which wnad and equips will help blaze wizard . that will eb helpful. like i want tot make my cygnus knights to be upgraded likea boosts them to help them make stronger. im sorry im not good with english.

  32. BlazeStrike9

Hey Ayumilove! With the reboot changes, the Reinforce Hyper Skill was removed from Orbital Flame, and I was wondering if the Orbital Flame – Range skill was worth getting since they significantly decreased the range of the skill without that. Thank you!

  33. Ayumilove Post author

@Tacooss: It’s a mix of Flame Wizard and Battle Mage if you have played any of these 2 jobs before. It shares the same weakness in Mage but has very versatile attacking range and skill.

  34. Tacooss

Hi Ayumilove! Can you tell me the pros and cons to the Blaze Wizards? Thank you! 🙂

  35. imnotpink

Hi Ayumilove, could you tell me which 4th job skills replace which 3rd job skills? I’m confused 😛

  36. Ayumilove Post author

@YeoWon: It’s a protection buff skill. Based from my understanding, when you received a fatal attack (get hit by monster and die), you will be brought back to life with 20% HP of your MAX HP and have 3 seconds invincibility (you will not receive any damage after 3 second upon death) at max mastery level of Phoenix Run. However, you will need to wait for 600 seconds before being able to recast this protection buff skill. This skill is similar to Phantom 3rd Job Skill “Final Feint” which revives/reincarnate the Phantom if it died.

  37. YeoWon

Hi Ayumi, can you explain to me about how to use to phoenix run skill – 3rd job? I do not understand how useful that skill is and how can it help me ?
    Thanks a lot

  38. Ayumilove Post author

@Cheese: Thanks for pointing out the missing items in the skill build guide. I’ll be updating the pros and cons section for Blaze Wizard aka Flame Wizard.

  39. Cheese

I’m a long time fan of your builds and I couldn’t remember when I started following them but i have been playing maple since 2005-2006 and I really appreciate what you are doing! keep it up! 😀

The main reason for me to comment is that this page as it is now lacks the pros/cons portion which I enjoy reading because the ones you give out are straight to the point and pretty convincing so I would like to request for a Pros/Cons for blaze wizard/flame wizard 😀

Thank you and keep it up! 😀

  40. Ayumilove Post author

@Dom: Use auto-assign to place all AP (Ability Points) into Primary stat. MapleStory has changed a lot to simplify user experiences 🙂 The Character Stat guide applies to older MapleStory.

  41. nickle

    Um Is there a reason why you didn’t have the mp cost in Jobs 2,3, and 4? Or did you not get to it yet? o;

  42. Dom

What about the Character Stat guide? Do you just keep using Auto-Assign?

  43. Ayumilove Post author

    @zeno: From CashShop Hair Coupon.

  44. zeno

Hi Ayumi, how did you get the hairstyle/face of your character?

  45. Ayumilove Post author

Fire Poison Arch Mage deals more damage than Blaze Wizard when it uses Mist Eruption.

    Ranking Job Name Multiplier DPM
1 Zero (at highest damage spike) 418.46% 7238136.77%
    2 Night Walker 388.89% 6726712.22%
    3 F/P Archmage (Mist Eruption, Max DOT) 363.74% 6291529.07%
    4 Blaze Wizard 273.89% 4737503.05%
    5 Thunder Breaker (Lightning Punch + Annihilate) 247.79% 4286051.41%
    6 Hero (2 hand) 242.68% 4197572.75%
    7 I/L Archmage 227.44% 3934071.16%

  46. bobo

Which deals more damage ? Fire poison or blaze wizard ?

  47. Ayumilove Post author

@Kangaroo: Have you done Shinsoo Quest to unlock the “Call of Cygnus” skill?

  48. Kangaroo

I’m on GMS and my 123 blaze wizard doesn’t have Call of Cygnus. Is this supposed to be a glitch or did Nexon remove the skill on this class?

  49. PapaGrimly

@Xxraincherry: The mobs you were fighting have a 99.5% resistance to all elements. If you use your elemental nullification (4th job buff, Fires of Creation), then you can do more damage as long as you manage to put your ignite debuff on them.

  50. bronald

Hey. I’m a 147 flame wizard now and I have to say … As compared to other classes , the range of my flame wizards sucks. The difference between my range and other class’s range is so far and it’s getting depressing and demotivating 🙁 I want to know whether it is still viable to play flame wizard ???

  51. Ayumilove Post author

@Xxraincherry: Sorry for the late reply! Could you try them on a weaker fire-monster such as Red Drake. Perhaps some maps caps the damage to a certain level.

  52. Ayumilove Post author

@Xtremeotter: I have corrected Flame Tempest skill points leftover in the guide. Thanks!

  53. Ayumilove Post author

@Resyncro: Sorry for the late reply. I have added Flashfire into the skill build guide 🙂

  54. Ayumilove Post author

@Solarien: I level up my skills based on the order given as shown above. Sometimes, I make a slight adjustment while training-live based on my training situation when it calls for it. For instance, if one of the favorite training map requires lots of traveling but it has many monsters in it, I will prioritize teleportation/movement skill up first. If the map is small but enemies are very powerful, I’ll prioritize on leveling up the primary skill for that particular job advancement first. The above guide is optimized for both situations, just that you will need to tinker on the SP distribution based on your needs. Maxing passive skills definitely boost up all skill tiers instead of 1 if you add SP into 1 particular attacking skill.

  55. Ayumilove Post author

@iEclipse: I’m seeing zero differences between the 2 summons stats (Lion / Mermaid) Fires of Creation based on the patch data.

  56. Ayumilove Post author

@nthcolor: Yup, we should max it. It’s very useful when used in boss raids such as Magnus to steer away from its dangerous attacks or move in when the enemy likes to move around quite abit such as Velum in Root Abyss. Sorry I missed that out in the skill build. I have added it in 🙂

  57. nthcolor

For 2nd, job what happened to Flashfire? Would we max that as well or no?

  58. iEclipse

Just out of curiosity… Is there a difference between the two summons for Fires of Creation? It doesn’t specify and I don’t see any difference in stats, but I was wondering if there was some underlying effect.

  59. Solarien

hey, im new to your site and having some confusion reading your sp build guides. Do you level your skills in the order that is given? Why do you max your passive first instead of the actives in the 2nd job? (cuz it applies to me specifically atm :P)

  60. Resyncro

On second job with the way you set the sp you would have 4 extra that are supposed to go flashfire but it doesnt show in the list.

  61. viniie

Oi mi tire uma duvida gostaria de saber se a classe blaze wizard e Night Walker nao estao mas podendo ser criada pois tentei cria e não estava disponível queria saber se poderia mi ajudar

  62. Xtremeotter

for 3rd job, Flame tempest should be (19/20) not 2/20

  63. Xxraincherry

It did say that blaze wizards gives half damage to fire strong monsters right? For some reason on gms when i was at the grand athaneaum my damage is usually around 39,000 but then there was this monster there that made my attack on it 90 -250 o___o if it was half then isnt it 10,000 somewhere not 90???

  64. Ayumilove Post author

@Ken: Thanks for your correction on 2nd Job SP for Flame Vortex! I realized that the Greater Flame Elemental max skill level I accidentally set it to max level 20 instead of 10.

  65. Ayumilove Post author

@BreakSpoon: Thanks for your correction regarding the skill icon of Greater Flame Elemental! I have fixed it 🙂

  66. Ayumilove Post author

@SpadesOfAce: EMS released Zero around 06.06.2014, add another 9 months for the release for Blaze Wizard revamp. My estimation would be March 2015 for the new Blaze Wizard release in EMS.

  67. Ken

Uhm for 2nd Job Flashfire should’ve been maxed out and leaving Flame Vortex (19/20)

  68. SpadesOfAce

Do you know when the flame wizard will be released in ems?

  69. BreakSpoon

    Dear Ayumi,
Greater Flame Elemental (Passive)’s picture in “BLAZE WIZARD 2ND JOB SKILLS” seems to be incorrect. Please check it. ty 😀

  70. theWizx

    Thx ayumi <#

  71. Ayumilove Post author

@theWizx: Try pressing the Orbital Flame skill 4 times quickly and you should notice 4 fireballs appear. Ensure that all your Orbital Flame skills from 1st, 2nd, 3rd skills have been maxed, and have at least 1 SP in 4th job Orbital Flame.

  72. theWizx

for the forth job of the blaze wizard i dont seem to use the orbital flame all 4 at once???
    plz help me

  73. ValorWolf

What Murf trying to say is Flame Bite, Flame Vortex and Flame Tempest are leftover end up to 19/20 points on GMS. 1st job 64 SP, 2nd job 94 SP and 3rd job 124 SP.

  74. Ayumilove Post author

@Murf: Sorry I didn’t really understand the 19/20 for those 3 skills. Whats the total SP for Blaze Wizard? It should sum up to 64 SP which means only 1 skill is left 19/20 instead of all 3 skills. Do correct me if I’ve miscalculated. Thanks!

  75. Murf

Just to let you know, Flame Bite, Flame Vortex, and Flame Tempest should add end up with 19/20 points in the end.

  76. Ayumilove Post author

@wildheartless: It’s a bug on GMS side. Perhaps they have forgotten to make that amendment before releasing the job. Enjoy and spam the skill while you can as they will fix it in the next coming patch.

  77. Ayumilove Post author

@Sound: Blaze Wizard does not need to purchase any mastery books to unlock their 4th job level capped skills, unlike the other non-Cygnus jobs.

  78. Sound

Do Blaze Wizard needs mastery book?

  79. wildheartless

hey ayumi… i noticed in Blazing Extinctions hypers there is no duration hyper skill rather a +2 enemies hyper… im kindof bummed… I wanted 20 sec BE oh well life goes on and the class has more going for it…

btw I noticeed I never hit a cooldown when using Dragon Blaze… is this intentional or am I just not reading the description correctly?

  80. Ayumilove Post author

@Hina: Perhaps BannedStory Developer does not have the time to update them or forgot about it?

  81. Ayumilove Post author

@wildheartless: Blaze Wizard aka BW are under Magician class. Therefore, they can equip shields for Mage.

  82. Ayumilove Post author

@wildheartless: I’m not sure. Perhaps they did not add any SP (Skill Points) into Fire Repulsion or the skill is glitched/bugged and the effect of distributing the damage into MP isn’t working as expected.

  83. Ayumilove Post author

    @Sound: I’ll be updating it now 🙂

  84. Sound

So when you’re gonna update this guide since GMS is gonna get it as a secret patch next wednesday.

  85. wildheartless

can BW equip shields? instead of cygnus blessing?

  86. Emblem

hey ayumi. is there even any point in maxing orbital flame lV? because when you get the hyper the dammage is going to 280% anyways. also the 29% dammage you get for maxing it (before getting the hyper) doesnt seem like that much?

  87. Hina

I wonder why am I not seeing these skills on bannedstory considering that it already has the cygnus awakening update to it….

  88. wildheartless

Hey Ayumi… I notice BW get a Magic Guard skill… but from all the videos i see of the revamped BW, it seems their hp goes down super quick while mp does not get affected… what gives???

  89. Ayumilove Post author

@Eric: Its smashing time 😀 Multiple taps similar to Aran/Battlemage.

  90. Eric

Hey ayumi, is Blaze wizard’s orbital flame a keydown skill or do you have to mash the buttons continuously?

  91. Stan

Hey Ayumilove are Blaze wizards gonna get a big nerf?

  92. jake

hi ayumilove do u know when blaze wizard lands in gms

  93. Ayumilove Post author

@Game: Yes, you can put it that way 🙂 Night Walker offensive skills (which mostly similar to Lucky Seven with an increasing number of hits) backed with tons of passive skills are more towards 1-vs-1, while Blaze Wizard skills are kinda convenient as it targets multiple mobs, great for fast leveling in training spots.

  94. Game

ayumi but night walker is weaker to mobing and blaze wizard is weaker to bossing no?

  95. Damian

Hi Ayumi, I have some problems deciding over the f/p mage n the newly revamped flame wizard. So which one of the two is better?

  96. Ayumilove Post author

@gaqe: NW is definitely stronger based on the number of passive skills focusing just on pure damage. However, some players might go for flexibility and variety of skills instead of having to throw stars the same way with an increasing number of stars over 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th job advancements. That would bore me 😀

  97. Ayumilove Post author

@Gabriel: Probably after 3 months after Blaze Wizard has launched in KMS. However, if there are leftover mega patches (e.g. Eunwol is yet to be released in GMS), then this will delay the release date of this new revamp Blaze Wizard 😀

  98. Gabriel

So when do we get this class in gms?

  99. gaqe

Hi ayumi, i see new revamp on NW and is stronger… But this skills look really sexy, what do you NW vs BW?- DA vs BW?- Aran vs BW? I really want make the new blaze wizard but looks weak….

  100. Keane

    They don’t get elemental reset…..
So means that it’s not a good clasd for bossing huh? :X

  101. Ayumilove Post author

@Dan: Blaze Wizard does not use any combo system similar to Aran. I couldn’t recall if Eunwol had such combo system too. Do you mean chaining skills together like Dual Blade?

  102. Ayumilove Post author

@HI: Its hidden in the video, you will need to look for it 😀

  103. Dan

Wow! It seems much more interesting than any others classes! I can’t wait to play the new blaze wizard!!
And here is a question, what is that combo build? Is that just like aran or eunwol? Or is that something others?

  104. HI

hey, what was the name for the music?
