Hi MapleStoryInMyHeart, I have not experienced the “stack” effect. Perhaps some Battle Mage can share their experiences here :)

  2. ELLO

@Jack: yea i heard abt the nerf too. they change some skills to not add any stats and that the dmg calculation also changes. havent confirm though
and for the DS: yea it was boring as of all the other jobs when lvling to 4th job, but i find DS a very good mobber so it lvls very fast. u can go higher lvl easily as your soul eater is continuous Damage.

  3. Jack

To ELLO and Ayumi. Oh!!! Thanks guys. Btw Ayumi. my friend who recommend me to join maplesea told me that playing xenon need alot of money and it will be nerf soon. Is that real? Becoz i did not plan to spent real cash on games.
Ello, i just create a DS haha. Maybe the level still low, and make me feel boring on it >< Are u also facing the problem when u are still low level(my current level is lvl50) ?

  4. Ayumilove Post author

Hi Jack, Xenon will be the best MapleStory job at the moment as it deals the highest damage among all classes. My Xenon deals 2-3 times more total damage compared to my regular Adventurer even when equipping level 10 weapon at Level 100. Unbelievable right? When I equipped those Epic/Unique item with potential stats alone (without any scroll), it raises the damage up to 5 times. It’ll bump up even higher with scrolled equipment.

  5. ELLO

@ Jack: Well im not Ayumi but i believe it would be the same ans: Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer has quite good bossing potential from demon impact and his hyper and he has a skill, demonic blood, that wont let him get knocked back ( 100% stance) (if i interpret you knock-out correctly) Furthermore, DS doesnt use mp pots and after 3rd job, Lvl 60, little usage of hp pot le so its good for unfunded. about nice looking skill… well its a preference, so i wont comment on that. Alternatively you can also choose demon avenger which is similar to demon but completely rely on HP. you might want to look through the guide for both 1st :)

  6. Jack

AyumiLove <3 i am new to maple. And now i m facing great problem on choosing job/class to play. What i prefer is : High dmg to boss, Nice looking skill, If can…. i hope that the job wont be knock-out when hitting monster(if exist). Please suggest me 1 job to play :D thank you.

  7. Colourinq

    Hi Ayumi ,
Good Guide done! For First job i suppose we should max teleport first as we will burn alot of MP Pot if we max triple blow first during mobbing and etc.

  8. Mr.Nice

Now bam have a revamp in KMS, the forth job have a new skill – staff expert, but dark genesis are gone right?

  9. Ayumilove Post author

Hi BattleValor, usually those mastery books or skill books are the one with max level 30.

  10. BattleValor

Hi ayumi can u make a guide for the list of mastery books and skill books needed for battle mage?

  11. ShYGuY154

Battle Mage’s level 170 hyper is unique by the fact as it does not have a cooldown. You can spam it to your heart’s content. Not only that, but it can be used with Finishing Blow as well, improving the damage greatly, and it’s just that much cooler to combine both skills like a combo. :P Think of it as icing on a cake; the hyper is a nice addition to the repetitive Finishing Blow.

  12. Ayumilove Post author

Hi Anything, KMS has revamped Battle Mage, Angelic Buster, Evan and Wild Hunter few days ago. And its not just those jobs, it also includes Xenon, Kaiser, Mercedes, Dawn Warrior.

  13. Ayumilove Post author

Hi Derpingston, could you highlight to me the new skills that battle mage and wild hunter received?

  14. Ayumilove Post author

Hi Renny Chan, I do not have the list of monsters. Most of the BaM mastery books can be obtained from Mystery Books.

  15. Renny Chan

Do you have a list of monsters that drops all the mastery books for BaM in MAPLESEA ??? I would appreciate your reply !!!

  16. :)

Hi Ayumi, for the Hyper Cark Chain, what does the “Knockdown for 6 sec” means? @@

  17. Ayumilove Post author

Hi T.o.p, total hits is 7 times (2 times for the initial blow, 5 times for the later blow). Later is available only after using Finish Blow.

  18. T.o.p

Hey ayumi, I don’t understand battle bar king description. The first sentence mentioned that it hits 2 times n the second one said hit 5 times.. So actually hit how many times?

  19. Ayumilove Post author

Thanks Tsurugi! I’ll be adding to the guide above. Sorry for the late reply :)

  20. Ayumilove Post author

Hi OoPengNiaoO, you can only casts 1 Dark Aura. If there are 2 Battle Mage within the same party using Dark Aura, it will not stack too. However, Dark Aura was able to stack in KMST (Korea MapleStory Tespia) but I think they have changed it so it does not become super overpowered :)

  21. Ayumilove Post author

Hi FATT, I have checked that the Finishing Blow (FB) skill provides 25% Critical Rate (applies only on this skill).

  22. Tsurugi

Hi Ayumi, you may wanna add that small but important tip: Brighton gives the [Boulder Muncher Test?] quest once the BaM reaches Second Job. Upon completion, 7 SP gained, so Second Job has everything maxed.

  23. Ayumilove Post author

Hi vsstyl, battle mage does not have a luk cap if you are playing on GMS with Tempest Update. Otherwise, the luk requirement to equip staff for battle mage is (Your Current Level + 3 LUK). For example, you are level 55, you will need (55+3=58 LUK) to equip a weapon. The question on what level the luk should be cap is based on your funding. If you already possessed scrolled equipment with LUK, obviously you can push you luk way down until 4, becoming a pure int.

  24. Ayumilove Post author

Hi Alon, hyper skills are unlocked as you achieve a certain level. No quest required :)

  25. Alon

Hello, iam lvl 165 battle mage and i dont have hyper skill :O
Do I have to talk if someone to get hyper skill??

  26. Ayumilove Post author

Hi Zakum, probably not the Explorer/Adventurer job! It’s more towards the Legendary Heroes (Luminous) and Nova (Kaiser, Angelic Buster) and Demon Slayer as they have pretty high DPS (damage per second), correct me if I’m mistaken :)

  27. Ayumilove Post author

Hi Zakum, any skills can turn out powerful if the character is equipped with godly scrolled equipment. If that Battle Mage is dealing max damage with Twister Spin, it would be better since it hits multiple targets.

  28. Zakum

Ayumilove, why is the twister spin so noob but it can still kill all the zakum hands in youtube???

  29. Ayumilove Post author

Thanks HikariX and Pari for the notice! I’ll be updating this Battle Mage Skill Build Guide soon.

  30. Pari

uhm just saying ayumi the bam skills have changed :/ and energize is no longer in our books. Just saying in case you never saw the patch.

  31. Ayumilove Post author

    @ConfusedRaik:

All skills has its uses at certain places and time. The reason why maxing Summon Reaper (SR) over Advanced Dark Chains (ADC) is because you get additional helping hand to kill enemies.

In training scenarios, when you can 1 hit KO everything thing with Finishing Blow (FB) and Teleport, you won’t be using ADC much. If you are training in LHC in party, there usually be a rusher or sort that pushes enemy away while range attackers hit those mobs at safe positions.
