Issue #2: Cannot start game from Chrome

Error: Unable to start game from Chrome.
Solution:Use Internet Explorer or enable npapi in Chrome.

Issue #3: Login Failed

Error: 로그인에 실패했습니다. 잠시 후에 다시 시도해주세요. [00004E2E]
Translation: Login failed. Please try again in a few minutes. [00004E2E]
Solution: If you happen to receive this error message abruptly every 1~5 minutes when you are gaming, login the game again via Internet Explorer. Play in a channel with less players. Ensure that you are using Korea Locale Region and Language Setup when playing the game.

Issue #4: Server Connection Lost/Disconnected – Error 10053

Error: 서버와연겉이 끊어졌습니다 (code = 10053)
Translation: Server Connection Lost/Disconnected (code 〓 10053)
Solution: Ensure your Internet Connection is fast (at least 1Mbps free). If you are downloading/uploading a file while playing MapleStory2 simultaneously, disable them first while you are gaming.

Issue #5: WinLicense

Error: An internal exception occurred (Address: 0x1b273d5). Please, contact [email protected]. Thank you!
Solution: You need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update.

Issue #6: Midnight Ban

MapleStory2 Midnight Ban
Error: An error message window pop up with black background.
Solution: The account is under midnight ban and its blocking you from login into game during the times of 12AM to 6AM KST (Korean Time) which only affects players with unverified account. You cannot play/create a character during these times except outside of the time range. Unverified users can no longer launch the game you should only get this error if your Korean Nexon account was verified through the KSSN method and the Korean ID is under 16.

Issue #7: 7-7-2015 Date

Error: I cannot start the MapleStory2. It says something about 7/7
Solution: The game is not even out yet! launches on July 7th 2015.

Issue #8: Server Maintenance

Solution: This is just a game maintenance that is currently taking place!

Issue #9: Intel(R) Q35 Express Chipset Family

Error: Creation failed: Could not create hardware device. D3DERR_INVALIDCALL) 하드웨어 챙치를 생성할 수 없습니다 “Hardware visor value can not be created”.
Other Notes:I have a verified account and I have downloaded the client, but i keep running into this problem. Every time i start the game through the website, the nexon game manager pops up briefly (Not sure if its running a patch, but it happens every time I click game start), the nexon security loads, my screen turns black for a sec and i receive the error above. Has anyone lse gotten this error or know how i would go about fixing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advanced! My PC specs: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz, 4GB RAM (3.24GB usable), 32-bit Operating System.
Solution: Update your Intel integrated graphics driver via downloadcenter.intel.com and ensure your PC meets the minimum PC requirements as listed in MapleStory2 Homepage. Update your NVDIA or AMD graphics drivers to the latest too! If your PC only relies on Intel Integrated GPU and no external video cards are installed, you will need to purchase a mid-range GPU $100~200 such as AMD R7 260X ($150 USD) and NVIDIA GTX 750 TI ($115 USD) to play the game smoothly. The Intel Q35 integrated graphics is meant to provide enough support for Youtube videos.

Issue #10: NGS Initialization Error 0xE1600201 / 0xE1600301 Fix

Dear all, specifically those who encounter NGS initialization error at starting up of maplestory client.
The reason why you are receiving this error is due to the fact that some of the files within the BlackCiper folder has been deleted due to it being detected as a false positive.

What is a false positive?

A positive is a detection by anti-virus programs to eliminate/isolate files that are infected.
However, in the case of false-positive, certain files are ‘infected’(They are harmless don’t worry about it) for it to be able to run. Anti-virus programs pick it up and isolates/deletes it immediately upon discovery. Which resulted in the maplestory files that you have downloaded to not be complete.

Fix / Solution

Open up each and every anti-virus and go to the settings option. Look for something related to ‘exceptions of files/ folders’ I believe most anti-virus comes with it nowadays. Simply add the folder your BlackCipher folder is installed in, into the exception list. (Ensure that ALL anti-viruses have their exception list updated otherwise it won’t work) After which, uninstall maplestory and reinstall into the same exact folder you had it previously installed in. After which, you can now run the game without the NGS error anymore.

GUIDE: How to use the “Play” button with Google Chrome?

There is an issue currently affecting the latest version of Google Chrome which is preventing the Play Button from performing as intended. Please follow the steps below in order to Launch via Google Chrome.

1. Copy and paste the following URL into your Google Chrome Address Bar: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
2. Find Enable NPAPI and click the Enable link to Disable.

You will now be able to use the Play Button with Google Chrome. If you are still experiencing issues, please visit our Technical Support Forums. Thank you for your patience as we resolved this issue.

    @adc123: The error message refers to “Security client components failed to load. In order to better protect your accounts security, please re-download the correct security components!” Have you tampered the MapleStory 2 data or something else?

    @BaniAss: This is CMS2 (China MapleStory2). It says something like “Client security failed to load. To protect your account security, please restart game client or use anti-virus software.

    @wingedrei: This is CMS2 (China MapleStory2) and the error message is “The server connection has been disconnected. Please re-login.”

    NPAPI is gone in Chrome anymore and still nothing shows up when I click the Start button in Chrome nor Internet Explorer :(((

    I’ve downloaded the chinese maplestory 2 and when I log in, picked server, and launched the game, it shows an error message after: with some chinese (21) – 101, can i get the email to send a screen shot

    Please help me with my Error invalid NGMDII.
    I’ve tried reformatting and reinstalling everything but it still shows it.

    @EC: Is it CMS2? (China MapleStory2). Try setting your regional language to Chinese to view the error message in Chinese.

    @Carlos: Run the game without using English patch so it will download all the new game data. Once that is done, download the new English patch in this page and replace the one in the MapleStory2 data folder 🙂

    @Reika: The MapleStory2 Error message says that “You are logged out with an invalid request. Please try again later”. Try clearing your Internet Browser cache by using CCleaner and login to the game again.

    i received an error “NGS E1600201” while trying to launch the game, The fix was to add game folder to my exceptions list on my anti-virus (mine is AVG) or disable it while playing. Just thought i should share it to help someone who has the same problem and don’t know how to fix it
