Windows Media Player 12 Setup
If you have placed your WPL (Windows Media Player List) in a different folder (not in C:\ drive), you can tweak Windows Media Player to find your existing playlist in your new Windows 10 Operating System!
- Click Start
- Type “WMPlayer” (to run Windows Media Player)
- File → Manage Libraries → Music → Add → Select the folder that contains “.wpl” files
- Click OK
- Restart Windows Media Player (Exit and Start again)

Issue 1: Some settings are managed by your organization
Steps to fix ‘Some settings are managed by your organization’ message in Windows 10
- Launch Start Menu by hitting the Windows Key. Type in gpedit.msc and right-click the app from the search results. Choose Run as Administrator from the context menu.
- In the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc), go to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Data Collection and Preview Builds.
- Find the Allow Telemetry item and double-click it to edit the policies.
- Change the setting to Enabled. Change the drop-down menu entry to 3-Full and click Apply.
- Now open the item again and change its Setting to Not configured and hit the Save button.
- That’s it. The message should no longer stop you from accessing various system settings in Windows 10.
Issue 2: How to remove the “Life at a glance” and “Play and explore” columns in Start Menu
- Right click on each tile in the group
- Select Unpin from ‘Start Menu’
- They can always be added back in from the list (Right click, pin to Start)
Issues 3: How to setup user account to run application as administrator
Add User To Administrators Group And Remove From Users Group:
- Log In As Administrator
- Go To Run ( WinKey + R )
- Type “control userpasswords2”
- Select Your Account And Click On “Properties”
- Select “Group Membership” Tab
- Select “Administrators”
- Click OK And OK
Disable Approval Mode
- Log In As Administrator
- Go To Run ( WinKey + R )
- Type “secpol.msc”
- Go To Local Polices > Security Options

Windows 10 Built-in Administrator Unable Run Apps
Lot of Windows apps like Edge, Calculator, Photos and others do not work, I’m getting “Remote Procedure call failed”.
Solution
- Hold the Windows key + R and in run dialog box type: secpol.msc
- Windows key + R
- Go to Local Policies –> Security Options –> Scroll down and find “User Access Control: Admin Approval Mode For built in…..”
- Double click on it and select enabled and the press ok
- Again press windows key and R and type “regedit”
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\UIPI
- And on the right hand side double click on default and change the value to 0x00000001(1) and click ok
- Restart your computer and all the apps should work.
