Zavia Champion Lore
Insouciant, fearless, and wickedly sharp-tongued, Zavia, known as the Winged Elf of Felwin, is a great enigma to the spies and statesmen of the High Elf nation of Aravia. No one knows how she acquired her famous wings, though many speculate that they are a work of magic, a clever mechanical device, or even a partial Skinwalker transformation. Her base of operations is unknown, her motives alien to the Aravian ethos. What the Aravians hold as ironclad, however, is that she is a threat to the crown and a subversive element.
Zavia’s crimes are repeated, unauthorized crossings of Felwin’s Wall, the dividing line between Aravia and the bulk of Anhelt, including the Dark Elf territory of Durham Forest. Her most infamous feat was to seduce Belanor, a respected High Elf administrator who had been serving on the Wall. The Aravians claim that she used supernatural means to steal his heart, or else she holds blackmail material as leverage over him. They hesitate to countenance the possibility that Belanor simply fell in love with her and joined her of his own will, even though they know in their hearts that it is a likely possibility. Admitting that an Elf can be ruled by their feelings would tarnish their international reputation.
Just as dangerous, if not more so, is Zavia’s message. In statements made during encounters with Aravian authorities, she has decried the existence of Felwin’s Wall, called for an end to the schism between High Elves and Dark Elves, and championed universal freedom. While she cannot tear down the Wall with her bare hands, by trespassing across it, she aims to humiliate its keepers and prove to the world that even the mightiest of barriers cannot stop a determined migrant. She demanded freedom of movement for all living things, and proclaimed all borders and all nations to be an affront to nature and an assault on personal liberty.
Such a radical, anarchic ideology was contrary to everything the Aravians stand for. Furthering their frustration is the fact that Zavia has never been spotted with smuggled goods or people, nor shown any motive besides sheer ideology. If she were bringing in rebels, stealing valuables, or committing any other typical crime, the Aravians could respond with typical means. But her vexatious idealism makes her unpredictable. Her trespasses themselves are her purpose.
Eyewitnesses say that Zavia does not truly fly, but uses her wings to assist in making tremendous leaps, and can glide with them to escape high places and survive a fall of any distance. With these capabilities she is easily able to loft herself over the towering Wall and then disappear over the other side, and twice as she did so she encountered Belanor. After reporting his sightings, Belanor was noted to grow distant and distracted in his work. When Zavia came to him for the third time, he disappeared along with her. Both Belanor and Zavia became outlaws and bounty hunters were dispatched to track them down.
For many months, Aravian trackers searched for the couple in vain, patrolling the Wall on both sides and investigating possible hideouts in Aravia and Durham Forest, to no avail. Despite the increased surveillance and security, Zavia has still made regular crossings of the Wall and, to the chagrin of the Aravians, Belanor has been spotted by her side. Somehow he too has acquired a pair of feathery wings, his snowy-white to Zavia’s gray. The Aravians are baffled and increasingly concerned — if the wings are not unique, but can be bestowed by some unknown process, they could prove the nucleus of a dangerous, body-modifying cult. They imagined a whole gang of winged bandits able to come and go as they pleased. Surely, they assumed, Zavia has been coming and going for some unstated purpose besides merely flaunting her capabilities. Perhaps she is starting just such a cult already, or organizing rebel cells across the border. But the most ruthless investigators of Aravia can find no conspiracies laid down by the Dark Elf intruder.
Rumor has it that Zavia and Belanor have been captured by the Aravian authorities, possibly more than once, only to escape later. It is said they were held in chains awaiting their execution, but when theirjailors came to escort them to the chopping block, they found the shackles undone and the cell empty, undisturbed by violence, as though the prisoners had simply vanished. All that was left behind was a pair of feathers – one dark and one light, as if to symbolize the schism of the Elves. Yet, as Zavia proclaims, the schism could be mended if only the Elves could see beyond their towering wall.

I just pulled a 4 star perfect soul for her on a f2p account and I don’t own her 😂 Should I just sell it?
Does anyone think Zavia would be effective vs the Shogun? I pulled a 5-star soul for her so I’m wondering if it’s worth building her for that purpose.
What would the best blessing be for zavia? I was thinking soul reap or lightning cage.
I am sorry to ask this question but as of 2/11/22, im trying to figue out the best mastery build for zavia. I see the build on this page but videos have different build. Which one best after the a3 nerf. thank for your help in advance
@TheLegend27: You will need to ascend the champion to unlock certain speciality within the skill.
My Zavia deadly catalyst only says ” Attacks all enemies. Enemies killed by this skill cannot be revived”. Do you need to acend or level her up for the poision buff to roll in ?
Has anyone tried her in a toxic set?
I think it is because, from what i know and see around, when it is a weak hit, zavia wont explode the poisons
What George is saying is that after Zavia does her Deadly Catalyst there’s still poison dots all over the enemy. I to am currently running into this issue. It’s not dmg related as I’m running with Prince, Taurus, Zavia, The Witch (can’t remember her name) and Bad El. By the time Zavia uses Deadly Catalyst every enemy is poison maxed sometimes 2 dies sometimes 3 sometimes 4 but the ones that live still have all or most poison dots. Is there a stat you need to hit a certain number on in order for her Deadly Catalyst to exploit all Poison dots. I can take screenshots.
Agreed John Harris
@tyrael, im going to assume you dont have her. +8dots on a boss and her A3 is taking a 3rd of the health. by the time those dots expired, your team should already be applying new dots. shes not meant to slow grind. shes meant to burst through dungeons. she is no doubt a 5star in almost every area in the game
@George H Winters. Confirm this. I think it´s a bug.
Sometimes my Zavia won’t explode all poisons. I wonder why…
running 4k atk, 206% crit dmg, 316 acc but only 64% Crit rate
i think she should be downgraded in every area due to the new max hp 10% cap which applies to her a3. you will do more damage if the bosses take a turn without her using a3 because the dot isnt capped just the skill. She is not as overpowered as she used to be.
[Poison] debuffs will only deal half of the standard damage when this Skill hits Bosses.
Why are this only apply to Zavia as Elenaril and Karam didnt mention this.
I would downgrade her for spider and arena defence. She no longer uses catalyst on arena defence and almost never uses it in spider.
Now that she no longer uses her A3 on clan boss, her damage numbers are close to dracomorph.
Her AI need some tweaking. Like using A3 when there are no poisons (even with A2 not on cooldown) or on FK with his shield up. They’ve fixed CB usage, maybe’ll fix this too. Otherwise, she’s awesome. Carying me through all content.
I’ve got my fingers crossed on getting her somehow someday. I lucked out early on getting Belanor from a Void shard.
@redeemer666: I think Block Revive might not require Accuracy. I use Mortu-Macaab with less than 150 Accuracy was able to Block Revive a high Resist Duchess Lilitu (+300 Resist) in Arena Platinum.
do u need Accuracy for Block Revive ?
My zavia does about 8million more than FB in a speed comp in CB. If you’re planning on running on Auto, don’t put Zavia in simple she’s way to squishy. Her A3 does an initial heavy hit plus explosion of poison, the initial hit can proc giant Slayer. She’s also good for nuking dungeon bosses. You can run double Taurus on spider and Frozen banshee and zavia can one shot the boss. Her attk multipliers aren’t that great I would run a defense chest instead of attk for CB and Crit dmg gloves if you can get 100% Crit rate somewhere else. I pulled her early have been using her for about 8 months she’s still in alot of my main teams. I would run her in life steal unless you have a leach champ like crush then you could do stalwart.
Ok. So its not good to ascend her if we want to use her for cb?
Nevermind previous comment was not using a3 because I didn’t have what I needed to get her ascended a3. Now that she is she uses a3 on clan boss.
So if she isn’t using a3 on cb never.. ymit can be used on auto then?
And if so.. is she only used for poisons.. right? She has no other debuff nor brings nothing else to the table.. correct?
Zavia no longer uses deadly catalyst on clan boss. Not sure when change was made as I am a relatively new player who pulled her. But for me on auto she alternates a2 between her a1s but never uses a3 on clan boss.
Just pulled her. Using unkillable with draco. Wont ever manual CB.
After you have draco and you wont manual CB ever.. is tjere any use for her?
another question sorry, can giant slayer proc on her poison explode?
Hi, does helmsmasher proc on her poison explode? or does it not because it says ignore def when the explosion appears?
Does anyone know if her A3s damage when it eats all the poisons is also effected by how many turns those poisons have on them ?
@Vahmp I have her with no additional CR right now and on auto her first attack is always her A3…so doesnt go off of CR.
@Wailord. I would do Zavia, she’s actually replacing my Kael right now for all content.
However, be aware that if you plan Zavia for clan boss that you can’t auto with her or she’ll just keep detonating your poisons with no extra damage to come from it.
Hello, I got Zavia a few days ago, and now that she is level 50, like my Kael, I was wondering which one I should up to 6 stars first ? I started playing the game only a week ago and got her very luckily. I don’t have any 6* yet, and I know that Kael is a high priority for new players, but Zavia seems to hit very hard too. The point is that I’m hesitating between these two, because Kael can farm 12-3, thing that i’m not sure with Zavia. Anyway, thanks by advance for any replies / advices!
Do you know why she uses her A3 over her A2? But it’s only depending on a certain stat. When i had her with low crit damage and high acc high speed, she does A2 before A3. When i gave her speed over 180, crit damage over 130 and acc at 200…she does her A3 first.
Is that a known bug or am i going crazy? been testing her out and it seems to be a stat or a mix of stats.
@SB: For players who have Zavia, they manual her skills in Clan Boss, so she does not use her A2 Deadly Catalyst to consume all the Poison debuff. She is a great pair with other poisoner champions such as Bad-el-Kazar to blow up poisons on Dungeon Bosses to clear the Dungeon boss and minions quickly. Plarium dev need to twewak her AI not to use that skill on Clan Boss.
Hi there, should she be 5* for clan boss? She negates all the poison buffs that she and other team members make because of the HUGE cap on her A3 damage. I’m not talking about it doing 50% damage for bosses… it is completely capped at 90k for CB. You could have 10 5% debuffs triggered by her A3 and it does 90k. Kind of makes her pointless for CB don’t you think? Unless you do the whole thing manually and never use her A3.
Or am I missing something here?
Thanks
@CyberRonin: I would recommend going with Offense Set since enemies have a 10 limit debuff. So, populating with the 2.5% Poison from Toxic Set prevent the 5% Poison debuff to be inflicted by Zavia’s A1. You can inflict a lot of debuff is she is quicker than the enemy. Best paired her with champion who has Increase Speed and Increase Turn Meter skills.
@nathanb131: It’s mentioned in the Ranking Overview (top of the page) that the champions are sorted alphabetic order for easier navigation. 🙂
Thanks for the reply! That makes sense, any opportunities for more speed… I didn’t realize when they proc they could interrupt an enemy attack, good stuff
@Swagmasta Flex: At end game, most of the Accuracy can be derived from equipment main stats (e.g. Chestplate or Banner) and through substats. Glyphs can amplify Accuracy substats as well. Apart from that, you can gain bonus Accuracy from Great Hall. In Arena and most areas, it’s all about speed. If the opponent takes their turn first and continuously gains more Turn Meter faster, they will hit your champions multiple times while recharging their skill cooldown very quickly to perform the next wave of powerful attacks. 10% Turn Meter may not look a lot but its amplified by the number of enemies inflicted with this debuff. If 4 enemies have this debuff and when they got to their turn, there is a chance where Zavia procs this Arcane Celerity to interrupt their attack flow to prevent them from chaining attacks.
@ayumilove What are your thoughts on swarm smiter over arcane celerity? I feel like making sure those poisons land with ACC is better for arena, especially since its only a 30 percent chance to boost your turn by 10 percent a few turns later
I just pulled Zavia, and with the CB build I went from 2-2.5M damage to 6.5-7M and she’s only lvl 49 with 4 stars left to ascend! She hits like a damn truck! Great build @Ayumilove
Would Zavia benefit from a Toxic+Speed setup? or is it better to go with Offence?
Just realized that some of your role-specific rankings are still just alphabetic order. That explains Abbess’s ‘top’ ranking in a few spots!
Zavia was my first legendary and core of all my teams. Her A3 AND A2 hit very hard and she’s been a reliable Arena Nuker in low Gold 3 and 4. Based on other reviews, I’ve been under the impression that she’s one of the biggest AOE hitters in the game.
Yet your rankings have her fairly low for Arena Offense for pure hitting and Spider as AOE damage. Am I mistaken that her A3 multiplier is one of the best in the game? I recently pulled Abbess and you have her topping a couple damage dealer rankings and way above Zavia. But I’ve been hesitant to put so many resources into a second Force damage AOE champ, assuming Abbess would hit the same as Zavia if similarly equipped. Are you saying Abbess will hit significantly harder than Zavia? If so, holy cow.
I just got her, and it made the game so much easier. I guess I got lucky, getting an S tier from my second Sacred Shard.
