Unkillable Clan Boss Strategy

Team Overview

Team Limitation

  • This unkillable clan boss setup does not work on Clan Boss Spirit Affinity where he can inflict Decrease Speed debuff to your champions to mess up the attack sequence.
  • Renegade A3 skill Sacrificial Ritual must have 6 turn skill cooldown. Use 1 Rare Skill Tome at a time to get that A3 skill upgraded once!
  • Renegade is recommended to take Life Drinker (Offense Mastery) to ensure she recover sufficient health higher than Skullcrusher or else the Clan Boss will stun her instead of Skulllcrusher!
  • Skullcrusher must not take Resurgent (Defense Mastery) to prevent it from removing the Stun debuff from him else it will mess up the skill cooldown.
  • All champions is recommended to get Deterrence (Defense Mastery) to counterattack the Clan Boss when Skullcrusher is stunned, which results in increase of damage output towards the Clan Boss.
  • No Increase Turn Meter mastery is use for any champions as it will mess up the attack sequence. This includes Rapid Response, Arcane Celerity, Cycle of Magic and Cycle of Revenge.

    For some reason when I get up to 17mil of dmg the CB stun target my renegade. She had almost 50% of HP while SC was low any idea why the CB target her out of nowhere? I say again she had 50% of HP about 20k

    Unless you have great gear Renegade will need Life Steal set to stay full HP and not become the stun target on Magic affinity if your Skullcrusher does decent dmg.

    Anax is a great replacement for Dracomorph – better than Fayne, Belanor or Aina.

    Hi Ayumi, I was wondering I am busy getting a team together for an Unkillable UNM CB, I have Warcaster, Maneater, Frozen Banshee, Skullcrusher, and was thinking of Adding Ruel, and was wondering if you had any Input on this, and if you have any guide for this, maybe with speeds gear ect.

    @Zackrow: I plan to do a lot more unkillable teams such as Bateater and Budget Unkillable, as these are the teams that I used in my Clan Boss UMN/NM/Brutal too. 🙂

    @HC. the reason that seeker can’t be replaced is because there are no other champions that also increase turn meter by 30% and don’t change the turn rotation at all arbiter can’t be used because her A3 also increases turn meter, lyssandra can’t be used because she also applies an increase SPD buff, lanakis the chosen can’t be used because her A2 increases buff duration which will make the clan boss stun some one besides skull crusher and her 25% chance to get an extra turn on her A3, and Skartorsis’s turn meter increase is unpredictable.

    I love this comp and there is potential to do more damage than the bateater comp. The coolest thing is that you can just press auto and it works.
    I agree with the comment bernard regarding too little hp will have the cb switch stun target around then 27 onwards. Life drinker is a must as a mastery for sc but i would not put ls gear. Overall give him a lot of defense and CD.

    Finally i did not test on spirit but j managed to make it work on force and magic with full auto team.

    What made the run for sure work well is to out renegade in ls that made my run more stable.

    Works also on brutal without a problem.

    I was told that sc can be replaced by Knallhorn but i have not tried it

    I know skratch mentions this however looking in DWJ speed calculator we can see that renegade a3 is used before crusher a2 every time, (after stun). But also that there are 2 turns for crusher. As such it actually doesn’t matter if he eats the stun or dispels it. Either way he will stay in tune.

    Was lucky to summon all the champs needed for this set up, so I tried it. The way this set up works is, skull crusher is targeted by clan boss single hit (usually until zero at some point of time). Skull crusher would not die because of unkillable and shakes the stun off because of his passive. The problem is, when HP of skull crusher becomes zero and clan boss hits harder (at turn 30 and above), clan boss can switch target for his single hit. This can kill the other fella or stun and mess up the sequence. Either way, the run stops. To solve this problem, skull crusher needs to regain some small HP along the way (clan boss Single target hit may not target a zero HP unkillable skull crusher especially at late stage when he hits hard enough to kill someone else). With a sliver of Hp, clan boss AI will be tricked to target Skull crusher for single target hit all the time. This HP regeneration can be done with life steal / immortal gear or life drinker mastery. You may want to add this finding to “ team limitations” above.

    For UNM e NM difficult this comp is great! But using the same strategy on brutal, it is not working. How is it possible to work on brutal difficult? Is it necessary to change the initial movements or anything else? tks

    After extensive troubleshooting with this unkillable comp. I have found that Skullcrusher does need “Life Drinker” OR some other form of healing but one that won’t take him past 50% or more than Renegade. If Skullcrusher is at 1% or less HP the Clan Boss will stun the target with the next lowest HP. I will have to assume it’s because the CB believes that target is dead or will die with a round of poison. I can’t say for sure. Maybe this is a known mechanic and I was not aware. What I do know was that after playing around with different gear setups to no avail and watching the video again (21:53) I noticed that Skratch clearly states Skullcrusher needs “Life Drinker”. As soon as I changed out the masteries on SC I finally had my first ever successful unkillable CB run.

    Why the Seeker is marked as main park of the team with no replacements? I don’t get what is make him so unique for this team.

    The comp doesn’t work with Tower, Skullcrusher is always protected with block damage on turn 6 and the stun goes elsewhere.
