Tomb Lord Reference

Tomb Lord All-Rounder Build

Here is Tomb Lord’s artifact and mastery setup for all-rounder build to cater to all content of the game. This build is great for early-mid game players to farm lower level dungeons efficiently. Lifesteal Set is equipped on Tomb Lord to enable him to replenish his health in battle quickly, as he is pretty squishy with low base Health and Defense. The stats to prioritized on him are Accuracy, Speed, Critical Rate and Attack. However, you can replace Attack with Health and Defense if he dies too easily due to lack of support champions to protect him.
Raid Shadow Legends Tomb Lord Artifacts and Stats Reference for Campaign, Dungeons, Clan Boss and Faction Wars

Tomb Lord Dungeon Solo Build

Here is Tomb Lord’s artifact and master setup for high-level dungeon solo farming such as Dragon’s Lair Dungeon Stage 21 or 25 (Force Affinity) and Ice Golem Dungeon with 4 fodders. This allows you to optimize the energy spent by leveling up fodder (food champions) and farming gears simultaneously! Regeneration Set and Immortal Set is recommended to Tomb Lord rather than using Lifesteal Set to recover HP is due to the skill synergy as well as the damage multiplier on Tomb Lord skills. Tomb Lord damage multiplier is pretty weak for a Legendary. Hence, it’s difficult to deal a high amount of damage against enemies who have a high amount of HP and Defense at higher levels to recover quickly with Lifesteal Set. However, using Regeneration Set and Immortal Set allows Tomb Lord to sustain in battle easily since he has the skill that grants him Extra Turn and enables him to decrease enemy turn meter and speed. To make up for his damage output, Tomb Lord can rely on his Poison debuff to do the heavy lifting of clearing the waves of enemies quickly as it deals damage based on their MAX HP! It’s similar to skills that inflict direct damage using ENEMY MAX HP as the damage multiplier! For dungeon solo farming, you will need at least 200 Speed, 100% Critical Rate, 45000 HP, 2000 Defense, 280 Resist, and 225 Accuracy to be able to resist enemy debuff, apply debuffs on enemies, and have sufficient Speed to go twice of the enemy turn.

  1. Another player

I have this guy on my iron twins 13 teams as he brings poisons, dec atk and dec speed.

Very versatile in many areas of the game. Used to also be on a 3v3 poison explode team with kalvalax zavia and deacon.

Amazing for clan boss and lots of different types of content. I run with immortal x2 and a perception set.

For hydra his value is not in his poisons, as most are resisted, but the drop def and atk is very solid. More importantly he has 100% chance to speed down on a single target. This can mean that you can change the order of the heads… And place block buffs before the poison cloud lands without it being cleansed (on one of the rotations i struggled with)

  2. Aeneas_2401

I just earned him today from a blue shard. Incredible! And just right in time! I’m just at fire knight stage 13 and I hope he will make it a little bit easier for me to get better gear.

  3. Riceaxe

I wish I had him. All his abilities are absolute Godtier.
I´m playing with the though of sacrificing 5-6 legendaries to get him with tokens…
    He´s just thaaat good.
Need him for Knght Revenant Faction wars too.
He´s a Stag Knight but much better.

  4. Darwin180985

Lmao. So I have a theory…After reading through this comment section I am like….1000% convinced that Raayna got super frustrated that ayumilove was taking too long to update Tomb lords rankings. So this dude just started making up fake names to keep posting newer comments to keep trying to get ayumilove to change his ratings lol. Like…same punctuation, same posting format, same wording, weirdly specifically similar references. Can some please look and tell me y’all don’t see it. Gut feeling is he has got an unsettlingly weird fascination with tomb lord and does NOT tolerate haters XD

  5. YesChef

@Lord with half the heads being immune to poison, I don’t see that aspect of his kit being as strong.

That said, I’ve been sleeping on this champ for almost 2 months now. Didn’t have the books for him, didn’t want to farm masteries, excuse excuse excuse… pulled him out tonight after hitting a brick wall in doom tower hard, booked him up, did his masteries, and I can’t for the life of me think why I would have ever not prioritized this guy!

  6. Lord

It seems like Tomb Lord’s A2 could be a killer in hydra boss. Giving 4 poisons to all heads definability is a big deal.

  7. UtterlySputter

He definitely belongs in the S tier nowadays. He’s very strong after the buff.

  8. Ayumilove Post author

@alus: Tomb Lord’s skills has been updated to Patch 4.70!

  9. alus

Changes: now S2 – gives poison for 2 turns instead of 1 (!!)
S2 – decreased skill cooldown to 5 turns (was 6)
Aura – ACC in doom tower by 70

  10. nanmzhao

Tomb Lord is my first Legend Champion. He’s a monster in PVE stage. Now he’s ascended in the latest patch. Blight’s cooldown is decreased to 5 turns (4 when booked),and aura is changed to DOOM TOWER. Now he’s definitely the S-Tier for all PVE and Doom Tower floor.

  11. Ayumilove Post author

@Martin: Yes, Tomb Lord requires all his main skills (A2 and A3) as indicated in the table above for him to solo dungeon. Reason being, the skill tomes used on him increases the chances of landing the debuff and your farming runs will be much more consistent (less RNG and less prone to failure).

  12. Martin

Hello, love your content! Question, do i need him booked in order to be able to solo dragon 21? I have the gear.

  13. Matt Sandford

Hi, appreciate all the work you have put in!

Would the masteries be different for the dungeon build that you provided?

    Thanks!

  14. Ayumilove Post author

@Arkkinite: I switched Tomb Lord’s artifact and mastery setup from All-Rounder Build to Dungeon Solo Build as I have moved on to use Tomb Lord for higher level dungeon farming at Stage 25 of Dragon’s Lair and Stage 23 for Ice Golem’s Peak! The All-Rounder Build is good for most areas of the game for early-mid game progression by pairing him with someone who can support him (e.g. Revive) when farming dungeon. The Dungeon Solo Build works really well for Faction Wars Stage 21. It sped up my completion run under 3~4 minutes!

  15. Arkkinite

    @Ayumilove
When you geared Tomb Lord for your FW, is it with the all-round gear (lifesteal immortal) set?

How did you manage the Debuff transfer from the FW boss? Just tank it out? Because it looks like you have no cleansers or debuff blockers.

I’m trying to get my KR FW 21 auto-able and I’ve just pulled Tomb Lord.

  16. ChaoAhSeng

I think death burst chance increment is 5% 10% 15% making it 100% when booked.

  17. Ayumilove Post author

@Meph1st0_: You can equip Tomb Lord with Regeneration Set and Immortal Set to enable him to solo dungeons!

  18. Meph1st0_

Sadly I do not have relentless, but I do own Tomb Lord and he is a monster.

  19. Wildsdreamer

Tomb Lord is a beast! I figured he wouldn’t replace my Stag Knight because of Tomb Lord’s longer cooldowns, but putting him in a Relentless set makes him so powerful. He keeps dec def and dec atk up 100% of the time when built with decent speed, and he throws out tons of poisons, along with a turn meter dec on his A3 and dec speed on his A1 to control the battlefield. Also with masteries you can keep his turn meter boosting all the time when debuffs fall off. If you’re hesitant to build him, I would highly recommend building him up as an OP support champ when put in relentless gear.

  20. Ayumilove Post author

@Bill: I have updated Tomb Lord’s rating for Faction Wars (4 → 5) and Dragon (4 → 5) after extensive testing in these areas. With Tomb Lord, I was able to auto Faction Wars 21 with the following Knight Revenant team setup (Rector Drath, Tomb Lord, Sinesha, 2 Skullcrown) with 100% win rate 🙂

  21. Bill

He should be rated 5 for faction wars, those poisons are huge in the last few FW battles.

  22. Ayumilove Post author

@relaxzed: The speed stat for Tomb Lord shown on this page is correct. The speed stat of 99 is when Tomb Lord is ascended to 6 stars whereas the speed stat of 94 is before ascending Tomb Lord to 6 stars. This applies to all other champions too, but not all champions will receive extra speed stat.

  23. relaxzed

    Hi Ayumilove,
the speedstat with 99 is wrong.
    94 is correct!
Thanks and keep the great work up

  24. Mindflayrr

@Aefir He’d be a good defense break/poison champion, but his attack break/defense break skill is on a 5 turn cooldown. That’s pretty long to wait if you happen to not place it the first time or can’t place it consistently. Also, his A1 won’t inflict decrease speed, nor can his “extra turn” mechanic from his A3 come into play because he can’t decrease the Clan Boss’ turn meter. Overall, he’d be ok for clan boss if you don’t have the specialists, but once you do, he’ll fall out of your team I think.

  25. Aefir

What is the viability of this champ on CB if we run Vizier?

  26. Faw

TombLord was my first Legendary. He helps a ton in every content, he is still in my Nightmare CB team (not even in defensive gear!). He is also a beast in spider. He has it all, AOE def-down, AOE atk-down, A1 speed-down and AOE Turnmeter reduction (if spider/ling <50%). He synergises great with kantra as an off-tank due to the sheer amount of debuffs he constantly throws out (4 poisons per spiderling!).
He is probably not "the best" in something but at least "very good" in everything.

  27. Ayumilove Post author

@anonymous aardvark: I have updated Tomb Lord’s A2 and A3 skill description. Thanks!

  28. anonymous aardvark

Tomb Lord’s A2 is different in game, than is described here.

    Should be:
    > Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 70% chance of placing two 5% Poison debuffs on all enemies for 1 turn. If the hit is critical, has a 70% chance of placing four 5% Poison debuffs on all enemies for 1 turn.

Other wording used in the skills is different. Looks like he needs an update.
    Cheers…

  29. Ayumilove Post author

@Danny: Tom Lord’s Turn Meter reduction only works if the enemy has less than 50% HP. I tested with my Tomb Lord on several bosses and it will ony work if that requirement is met. This does not apply to bosses that specifies its immune to Turn Meter reduction such as Magma Dragon, Dragon’s Lair and Clan Boss.

  30. Danny

Can anyone confirmed that TL’s A3 TM reduction works on scarab king. I tried it on my account, and multiple attempts, it does not seem to work. I dont see any resisit as it can’t be resisited given it is not a hit (that is my understanding).

  31. Cazper Vestblom

I just pulled him and people said in the chat that he’s a monster for FW / Dungeons and can also be used in clan boss, definitely a keeper for me 🙂

  32. Ayumilove Post author

@William Wall: Yes, Relentless Set can be used on Tomb Lord so he can apply those Poison much more quickly. However, it’s recommended to use it if that Artifact Set could provide sufficient Accuracy, Speed, and Critical Rate stats to synergize with his skill kit, as well as sufficient HP% and DEF% so he can survive several nukes from enemies as his base Defense is quite low, making him an easy target.

  33. William Wall

Would T/L be a good candidate for relentless gear?

  34. Jareel

I think that the biggest issue with the Tomb Lord is how he performs below 12k power or so… Not enough accuracy, and he won’t land those poisons, not enough staying power, and he’ll be dead before making a difference, then there’s a balance between speed and crit rate… overall, it’s a very difficult champion to gear. I highly recommend getting at least the Perception set for him, as it has an excellent fusion with the hero, featuring both: Speed AND Accuracy, two things Tomb Lord loves.

I find him to be great in the dungeons and nightmare campagin with damage dealer. Slows + mass, high-grade poisons, turn meter pulls… just remember, to have an attacker with higher speed, to pull that HP down below the 50% threshold before the A3 is applied. Similarly he’s useful for the clan boss – poisons, slow,

Also: Master Hexer mastery is a must-have. For campaign/dungeons landing those 1/3 of extended poinsons really makes it shine.

Where I think he’s the weakest is arena? I’d rather have A-grade rare team than this legendary, given a right fusion between the characters. I’m yet to have a team where his high defence aura in the Arena would make a positive difference, but it’s certainly a feasible build to aim for. Also solo in the campagin… not really his kind of meal.

  35. wbkruse

On the Clan Boss page of champion rankings, it shows Tomb Lord being a 3* legendary where as here, it shows him being 4*. I’m wondering why he isn’t 5* though since he has poison debuffs and attack and defensive debuffs going for him? Lastly, why doesn’t his equipment sets emphasize crit rate since his A1 and A2 are dependant on it?

  36. Ayumilove Post author

@Wikileaf: Plarium did not officially release any notes for this. It’s based on player’s testing after they release the new Tomb Lord rebalancing.
I think Plarium has fixed it by changing the condition to “if at least 1 enemy is reset, only gain 1 Extra Turn.”
Previously Tomb Lord gain multiple Extra Turn (1 Extra Turn per enemy Turn Meter decreased).
As a result, it enables Tomb Lord to reset his skill by having multiple Extra Turn especially in Spider’s Den (multiple Spiderlings).

  37. Wikileaf

What source says TL is getting a rebalance? That he will get an extra turn aftwr using his A3?

  38. brave

especially that he will be rebalanced soon to instantly get an extra turn after using his A3 (and not only when the enemy is at 50% or less)

He is currently helping me clear nightmare campaign

  39. brave

    Should be

    5/5 in Arena Offence
5/5 in Arena Defence (Good AI)
5/5 in Clan Boss (def down, Atk down, poison, multi hitting A1)
5/5 in Faction Wars (AOE def and Atk down, AOE poisons, TM reset, decrease speed)

Please revise this champs ratings. He is getting so much unnecessary hate and these ratings here do not help either as others have already said. He is an extremely solid champ

  40. John

When I pulled him and saw his ratings I almost cried, once I built him though, I quickly realized people are sleeping on him. I cant agree more with raayna. I use tomb lord in CB, arena, and dungeons. with 100% CR and ACC requirements met wherever you currently stand he will flourish. He does need his books though.

  41. Ayumilove Post author

@Raayna: I don’t delete comments unless they are spamming advertisement links or post trolling/offensive comments. I’ll revisit Tomb Lord’s ratings based on player’s constructive comments posted here once I’m available (usually during weekends) 🙂

  42. Raayna

    @AyumiLove

Is there any reason my latest comment was deleted? Where I was talking about his inaccurate rating here?

  43. kendzu

@Raayna How do you have Tomb Lord and MM geared for Campaign?
I have both of them, can book both of them but can’t think of a right gear for Campaign

  44. Raayna

This champions rank needs to be completely updated, and moved to A tier

I stand by this champ since I got him in my first week of
Playing, and still use him in end game.

    – He allowed me to complete Nightmare Campaign (Paired with MM)
    – Took me to G4 arena and easily keeps me there
    – Helps a lot with Fire Knight. 3 hit A1 and a TM Reset A3
    – Easy faction wars carry
    – Always use him in Clan Boss. 4 poisons, DEF+ATK down A3, 3 hit A1
    – Just someone I always keep in all of my dungeon teams. His A1 Decrease Speed is excellent for bosses.

I see many new players sleeping on this amazing and versatile champ, because of his inaccurate ranking here.

He should be 5/5 in a LOT of areas, especially Faction Wars, Clan Boss, Dungeons, Fire Knight, Campaign, etc.

It’s bizarre how someone like Robar is 5/5 in Clan Boss, but Tomb Lord is 3/5?

Please go over his tier and ranking because you are ranking him extremely lower than he needs to be, and I spend most of my time on reddit convincing newer players that Tomb Lord is actually an amazing Lego, and that the rank/tier given here on AyumiLove, is very inaccurate.

  45. ycveyis

I think with his 3 atk a1, decrease spd and tm reset tomb lord should be 5 stars in FK. also can be counted as 4 stars in spider as well with aoe atk down, dec spd and tm reset. and as @RaidWarrior said should be A rank.

  46. RaidWarrior

.51 Stars, Should be A Rank

  47. RaidWarrior

51 Stars, Should be A Rank

  48. OrcLadyConnoisseur

    @Keebab His A1 has no clanboss-relevant utility.

His A2 poison is more conditional (lower proc chance even w/ books, needs crit) than Aothar’s even, with the same cooldown. Better poisoner Epics and even arguably rares with the advent of Frozen Banshee.

His A3 turnmeter reduce obviously is meaningless against clanboss. The attack/defense down is good, but a 5-6 turn cooldown is waaaay too long for what are must-have primary debuffs on the clanboss. Extra turn mechanic is nice, but doesn’t make up for it.

Also his Aura doesn’t work in clanboss fights. So bottom line a pretty good, but not great option for clanboss. Pretty much exactly a 3/5 stars I’d say (needless to say he is godly in dungeons though)

  49. Keebab

Hey AyumiLove. Is there a reason TL is at 3 stars for Clan Boss? He offers a lot; mass poisoning, and an ATK + DEF down.

Especially paired with a debuff extender, he is great. I definitely think he should be at least 4 stars for Clan Boss, and maybe a better tier (B or A), as he does have 4 stars on almost everything.

Think a C rank is not deserved and too low for a champ that is useful in almost every aspect of the game!

  50. Ayumilove Post author

@jberg_13: Tomb Lord mastery guide is now available!

  51. jberg_13

Any chance of getting Tomb Lord’s masteries posted?

  52. Snugboat

Just as a note, the balance change to Blight either never took effect or was reverted. As of 2020-03-04 Blight will not give an extra turn if no turn meters are reset.

  53. Raayna

    @Neltharion

I’m not AyumiLove, but TL was my first Lego, and I still do not regret fully booking him. He’s an amazing champ especially after his buffs. His in game ratings are old, and even here on this website, TL deserves to go a tier up and have more stars for dungeon bosses and CB (If anything, a lot of the info shown on this site is questionable so don’t base your decisions of it too much!)

But Tomb Lord is an excellent debuffer, and shines even more with a Vizier on the same team.

Definitely book Tomb Lord. You’ll use him quite often for bosses all over the game

  54. Neltharion

Hey Ayumilove! first i would like to thank you for your work in this site, it helped me a lot when i sterted playing the game several months ago and it still does! so keep up the good work!

So, a friend of mine just got tomb lord for his first legendary and he is realy torn about what he should do with him. He has a lot of books so he can fully book him. Tomb lord to my eyes seems to be good for dangeons and i think he can be disent for CB as well. What is your opinion? is he worth investing if he is your only lego? Thanks in advance

  55. Ayumilove Post author

@Good-el-Kazar: Tomb Lord has long skill cooldown to apply Decrease Attack and Decrease Defense. Decrease Speed and Decrease Turn Meter does not work on Clan Boss. The only good thing is his Poison debuff but lower rarity champions can be utilized far more efficient without spending Legendary Books which is very rare as its not currently farmable in-game apart from Shop purchases and RNG drops from Nightmare Clan Boss and Ultra Nightmare Clan Boss Highest Tier Chest.

  56. Good-el-Kazar

Why is he rated so low on clan boss? His kit has just about everything you need for clan boss

  57. Raayna

Mastery guide for him? I’ve got enough gems to max his masteries, just don’t know which ones.

  58. Ayumilove Post author

@Manifesto: Thanks! I have added Tomb Lord into both Decrease Attack and Decrease Defense champion list.

  59. Manifesto

Hey Ayumilove, Tomb Lord isn’t listed on the DEBUFF: Decrease Attack/Defense pages.

To further the advice to Dimitrios, any ability effect other than damage can be resisted in some cases (unless it specifically states otherwise), eg. turn meter reduction and buff removal/stealing.
Many of these won’t show the “Resisted” keyword when it happens, Peydma stealing all buffs is a good example, you need accuracy to ensure you get the steal.

  60. Gordon McCulloch

Surely this guy should be higher rated for clan boss? With a toxic set he would be a poison god.

  61. Ayumilove Post author

@Dimitrios Komvos: If Tomb Lord performed a weak hit (occurs when fighting against Magic affinity champion) or debuffed block (e.g. Clan Boss / Block Debuff buff) or resisted due to enemy’s high Resistance, then it will not apply. If the skill description says that this Decrease Turn Meter cannot be resisted, then it will be 100% apply regardless of Accuracy.

  62. Dimitrios Komvos

I am talking about the …
“Resets the Turn Meter of all enemies with less than 50% HP.”
    part.

  63. Dimitrios Komvos

Isn’t his Blight supposed to be 100% hit if the target has less than 50% HP? It isn’t 100% in my experience.

The explanation does not say there is a chance of it happening, it says it happens, period.
