Teela Goremane Review

Teela Goremane, a Legendary Support Magic affinity champion from the Orcs in Raid Shadow Legends, has undergone multiple buffs and changes, and is no longer the worst Legendary Champion in all of Teleria. Summoning Teela out of any shard will now give you a powerful HP burn champion and an AoE Hex champion, making her a strong option for Hydra battles.

Teela’s kit now primarily consists of AoE abilities with cooldowns of 3 and 4 turns. On her A2, she places HP Burn on all targets while also placing a Continuous Heal buff on all allies for 2 turns. This ability is great for dealing damage and staying alive in high-end content such as Hydra and the Sand Devil Necropolis. It’s also an excellent option for powering through Doom Tower waves. Her A3 now places Hex instead of Heal Reduction and also increases the duration of all the HP Burns on the target by 1 turn. With this extension, Teela may prove to be extremely useful for Spider 25 speed farming. In addition, the Leech debuff that she places on the enemy team helps to keep your team alive.

Teela’s A1 remains unchanged and is a decent ability. She steals 1 buff at random and has a 50% chance to steal a further buff if 2 or more buffs are still present. Since she is HP-based, her on-hit damage is nothing special to consider. However, through Hex and HP Burn, you’ll find Teela to be a competent damage dealer.

Teela Goremane has now become a competent champion for any team. With her powerful HP Burn and AoE Hex abilities, she is an excellent option for Hydra battles. Her abilities to heal and steal buffs make her a valuable asset for any high-end content, including the Sand Devil Necropolis and Doom Tower waves. Teela is a versatile champion that can be built to survive rather than hit hard, making her a valuable addition to any team.

Teela Goremane Champion Lore

Following the horrors of the Red Crusade, many Orcs fled to the continent of Peltas, their number fracturing into warring clans as they journeyed east over the Valdemar Strait. Some continued their journey to the Sorrowlakes with their Lizardmen, Skinwalker, and Ogryn compatriots, others became merciless raiders, and more attempted to establish a home within the Deadlands. Teela was born into a clan that headed into that hot, scrubby place, and preferred the path of the raider, pillaging and enslaving at will.

Life in the clan was often brutal and short, and after being orphaned when she could barely walk Teela had to learn to survive from the moment she took her first steps. Where more fortunate warriors had the benefit of family to teach them and help, she fought for absolutely everything – food, medicine, and clothing. Despite her brutal upbringing, over the years it made Teela resourceful and strong. She gained a reputation among her clan for being able to put down warriors twice her size, and was placed at the head of countless raiding parties.

For years, Teela launched successful sorties in the Deadlands, ambushing trade convoys from Anhelt, and fighting with rival raiders. One day, a stroke of mysterious luck thrust the Orc warrior to new heights of glory. Her raiding party ambushed a caravan transporting a scholar from Aravia, and overwhelmed the guards without trouble. When the cornered Elf begged for his life, he mentioned a weapon of great importance — the very thing that he had set out on his journey to find. Though not usually one to show mercy, Teela agreed to keep the scholar alive in exchange for everything he knew. This is how Teela learned of the Hexdrinker Scimitar, an ancient sword buried somewhere within the far northern reaches of the Deadlands, just north of the Thundermount. With such a powerful blade in her grasp, Teela could propel herself and her clan to greater heights. She insisted the Elven scholar accompany her party in their quest to find it.

Trusting in the scholar’s information, Teela led her raiders in a long march across sand dunes and dust mounds, their captive guiding them. Reading from an ancient map, the Elf led them to a burrow that predated even the Human raider clans that controlled the area. It had not been left unguarded, and Teela’s attempt to breach it called scores of skeletal warriors to life. Teela and her Orcs fought tooth and nail against these Undead guardians, breaking them all apart before pushing deeper into the burrow. There, the head of the Undead host waited — a skeletal monster bearing the very shadow-cloaked blade Teela craved. The necromancer pulled a toothless, black-gummed grin, and the Orcs heard the crack and crunch of bone as the skeletons they had destroyed reformed behind them and marched toward their rear. Battle was renewed, and Teela knew she would have to kill the necromancer if she and her warriors were to survive. In the battle that followed, every Orc bar Teela was cut down, slashed and pierced with rusting blades and spears. The Elf too was slain.

Teela herself barely survived. She ducked and dodged the necromancer’s every swing and thrust of the Hexdrinker Scimitar, drenched with sweat, her brow furrowed and teeth bared in concentration and battle-anger. Her Undead foe assailed her with shadow magic as they fought, slowing and throwing off her movements. But with sheer determination, she won out. A slice to his neck saw the depraved sorcerer fall, and Teela caved in his face with her boot. Then she shattered his hand to wrest the Scimitar from him. The remaining skeletons clattered to the ground. The battle finally over, Teela then wept, for all around her lay the bodies of her loyal warriors. She found her alabaster white hair was splattered with their blood, and she refused to think of washing it out. She left the barrow, Scimitar in hand, wondering if the gain was worth the loss. Regardless of the truth then, she was determined to make it so her Orcs had not died in vain. The more enemies she slew with it, the more wealth she acquired using it, and the more necromancers she ended upon its point, she would ensure the sacrifice of her Orcs was a worthy one. They would all fall before the blade of Teela Goremane.

@Radarclan: I have updated Teela Goremane’s skills based on Patch 6.40. Thanks!

  2. Radarclan

She no longer places heal reduction she places her on her a3

  3. sin

people use to say she was the worst lego in the game, but she was a great help for me in completing the orc faction since she didn’t need any books or mastery and added some very good things to the team.

now with this buff, she gonna help me kill hydra better. so in total she has been a great champion to me

  4. Shy of dropbears clan

@KirbyMorph I saw the changes this AM and thought I’d let people know, thanks for beating me to it.

I’m taking this gal out of the vault and leveling her in Minotaur while waiting on books. The change to AOE burn on A2 and adding Hex on her A3 will be awesome. Hydra needs champs where you are bringing multiple skills.

Don’t overlook the Steal buff on the A1 as well, Kantra the Cyclone does this also, and she’s now in my top scoring Hydra team. 95M on Hard (not tested on Brutal)

Looks like an excellent champ for spider and hydra. She has a large book requriement even if lucky on only hitting a2 and 3, but these buffs look to make her a very specialized and usable hero now. Hydra dmg will be insane and buff extension is always great. Hex will allow you to target the one head and adds a little dmg. Might enable niche uses of some hex champs like Ruel or Thea. Leech is also underrated and nice aoe to have. If struggling with hydra or looking to fill out extra teams, Id pull her out of the vault now.

  6. T-Bag Mafia

teela has consistently been known to be one of the weakest leggos in the ranks.. even with the two ofr even three buffs (one b4 my time) she sahs not found a place i th game to utilize her half cocked skills… I will say however that she can be a sol;id asset inm faction wars aas the orcs tend to be brutal force driven yet squishy faction and her hjeal reduction comes in CLUTCH if timed right on final boss lvl21 to precvnt the hp swap and have you back to the drawing board jujst after you were about to kill him… for that i thank teela … I alos thought for a flash that she might have found her way into iron twins uponm release however there are just better options.. she is viable however idf your lacking affintity friendly optioonms to tank through that content.
PLARIUM PLZ REBUILD HER KIT FROM SCRATCH.. SHHE LOOKS COOL , BUT WE ALL KNOW SHE IS A MEAGER EPIC AT THE VEY BEST NOT WORTH YOUR LEGGO BOOKS.. WISH I HAD MINE BACK.

  7. Boruhavok

Where do you find the storyline for champions? She’s not the best champ, but this is a cool backstory.

  8. Aslam Khan

Teela is great for fw now with her hp burn..just cleared stsge 21 with level 50 unascended unbooked teela, lvl 50 shaman, level 50 zargala, lvl 57 vrask with 70kHp and 200 speed and a lvl 60 brago..only brago is booked,no one else is..brago is built for damage,no special stats on anyone else..shaman is in regen gear but that wasnt necessary..apart from vrask, everyone else was under 180 speed..

  9. liam

The multiplier for her A2 may be wrong. I don’t know how to check it myself, but it’s listed in other places as 0.2.

  10. gtfo_mtg

She is scheduled to get a buff once 4.70 update goes live this week. The buffs don’t look amazing but they should help a little bit at least. I just pulled her from an ancient shard during the 2x event so I’m hopefully she’ll have some utility.

  11. MadVlad

She’d be immediately viable if her A1 stole all buffs. It’s single hit, so it isn’t crazy, but that’s solid.

  12. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

(Or you could go with Master Hexer, like Ayumilove ACTUALLY suggests … sorry, I got my graphics confused and didn’t read the text … derp :P)

  13. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

Just a heads up about these masteries: If you book her A3, you get 100% chance to land the Leech and Heal Reduction, so Sniper is only useful if you don’t have that booked, or if you use a set that applies debuffs (like Stun or Toxic).

  14. GoreTaint

She steals pretty consistent but her A1 should be at least a 2 hitter.

@Ayumilove: can you please explain, why you upgraded her to 5 stars in arena?

  15. Ralph Hope

@Tom I think she’d be amazing for the frost spider. AOE leech (very rare ability) and a HP burn?? I would LOVE to pull her from a sacred shard.

  16. Tom

I had the misfortune to waste a sacred shard on her. How is that legendary ???
I have a dozen of rares which are much more useful than this … thing .
Any news if it is inteded to buff her a bit ?
Otherwise she is an insult to the word legendary and to the Plarium developpers .

  17. Coach Ace

If they swapped the Leech on her A3 with the Buff Steal on her A1 she could be a good champ.

  18. GamadrilOP

Mssingo, Coffin smasher is good for CB not because of HP burn (if he didn’t have HP burn, he’d still be* for CB, so that’s just a cherry on top), he’s good because he basically (when booked and mastered) has ~ 100% chance of ATK DOWN on A1 + it’s a tripple hitter so he can use GS.

  19. sauce

why is she good at faction wars, but so bad at everything else?

  20. ghu

lmao. not a single good built in those videos. she needs acc !

  21. Nesone

I think she is not that good in arena offense or defense, i never see her in any teams and i play over a year now…

  22. GoreTaint

I wouldn’t give her 1 star on Fire Knight. She steals the unkillable Buff of Gnarlhorn, that can be very import if you play with Alure on auto. Without her I had to close the game a couple of times, because Alure don’t let Gnarlhorn finish his round. Sure there are other champions I could use, but most of them are force and I’m on stage 14 atm… Also you have the heal reduction on A2, what is also useable against FK and with champs like Lordly Legionary… Sure it depends on the team, but if you can afford a champ with a one hit A1, then she may be helpful.

  23. RaidWarrior

51 Stars, Should be A Rank

  24. Alkahalik

@sauce That, and she’s a guarantee to steal the att buff everytime. She’s REALY nice on CA teams that don’t need to have lifesteal on every champ. She’s crafty.

  25. Mssingo

I would expect her rating for clan boss also to be higher. Coffin Smasher gets 5*, but his HP burn isn’t 100% like teela’s. I get that coffin smasher has a team focussed passive, but HP burn makes the real difference surely?

  26. sauce

Between his HP Burn + Continous Heal + Leech (more aoe healing)… shouldnt she be a good hero for Clan Boss helping to toping all the team plus her dps?

  27. dONUT

With Leech moved up to 18% instead of 10% this makes her more viable for Clan Boss. Her star rating should be raised!

  28. Ayumilove Post author

@Wei Ying: Thanks! I have added Vamp Play and Spyker video’s on Teela Goremane guide into this page.

  29. Digao Momeil

in my opinion it could be more useful the mastery 2.4 of support instead of 2.3 of attack.. cause for her is better to steal the shield instead of broke it 😀 what do you think?

  30. OrcLadyConnoisseur

One of my most wanted legendary champs. I think she could really use a cooldown reduction for her Pyre Strike at least; we will see how the changes to the Leech debuff affect her

  31. Ayumilove Post author

@Sniper1shot: Thanks! I have added Sir Jaxo video into Teela Goremane champion guide above.

  32. zzstopps

at 60 she can do brimstone on her own, so plus 1 for me on campaign
