Taras the Fierce Review
Taras the Fierce is a Legendary HP Void affinity champion from the Banner Lords faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is feared by many for his unique ability to frustrate and weaken his opponents while taking a few punches himself. What sets him apart is his special bond with Marichka the Unbreakable, vowing to protect her at all costs and retaliating against any enemy who dares to attack her.
With his A2 skill, Taras unleashes a 100% 2-turn stun debuff that deals twice the damage to high-attack enemies, making him an exceptional defender. His A1 skill has a 50% chance of placing a Decrease ATK debuff while also increasing all allies’ turn meters by 5% per critical hit, with a maximum total of 10% per attack.
But his true strength lies in his A3 skill, which deals significant damage that increases by 15% for each buff on his team, potentially increasing his damage output by several hundred percent. This skill also extends all buffs on his team by one turn, making him a valuable asset against enemies like the Hydra or Sand Devil. Additionally, his A3 provides him with a powerful self-heal of 5% for each buff he extends while restoring his maximum HP.
Taras’s first passive gradually weakens attack-based opponents by up to 50% in the arena or waves and up to 25% against bosses, while also placing fear on any Orc, Ogryn, Undead Horde, or Demonspawn champion before a sword is even raised. However, he pays a heavy price for his strength, with his second passive reducing all skill damage (not debuffs) by 50%, leading to a significant reduction in his maximum HP. But with his plethora of buffs and his A3 heal, Taras proves to be a difficult champion to take down.
In conclusion, Taras the Fierce is a complex and formidable champion, worthy of an S-tier rating. His unique abilities, especially his partnership with Marichka, make him a valuable asset to any team. He can frustrate and weaken his enemies while delivering powerful blows himself, making him a force to be reckoned with in the world of Raid Shadow Legends.
Taras the Fierce Champion Lore Synopsis
Once a lowly stable boy, Taras was drafted into the army of Count Iradere, a cunning lord with a reputation for dodging accusations of misconduct while implicating higher-ranking Banner Lords in crimes. Though distrusted by many, Iradere was known for his shrewdness, transforming barren lands into thriving fiefdoms. His rise to power, however, was marred by deceit, and his next plot would involve young Taras. Iradere planned to use Taras and two hundred soldiers to raid a rival lord’s outpost, inciting a war that would allow him to conquer new lands. But Taras, no fool, saw through the plan and set out to avoid becoming a pawn in Iradere’s treachery.
Instead of carrying out Iradere’s orders, Taras deserted, knowing that Iradere would stop at nothing to silence him. The lord deployed his secretive network of spies, known as Iradere’s Whisperers, to track down Taras and prevent him from warning the rival lord, Sersaul. Taras, understanding the danger, cleverly disguised himself as a beggar and infiltrated the Whisperers’ circle. By blending in with the very spies sent to capture him, he learned of their plans and even spread false rumors about his whereabouts, ensuring that Iradere’s search for him led nowhere.
Weeks passed, and Taras devised a daring plan to confront Iradere directly. Posing as a Whisperer with vital information, he demanded an audience with the count. Under the cover of night, Taras was smuggled into Iradere’s keep. There, he revealed his true identity to the shocked lord and swiftly killed him and his sole guard. With Iradere dead, Taras fled, knowing he had rid the world of a deceitful mastermind. However, his troubles were far from over, and he continued to live in hiding, fearing discovery and retribution.
In time, Taras found refuge in a small village called Oakfell, where he was nursed back to health by its kind inhabitants. Grateful for their care, he served as the village’s protector, training its men to defend themselves before moving on. For years, Taras wandered the land of Teleria as a mercenary, living under false names and hearing exaggerated tales of his exploits. He grew older and wiser, perfecting his skills as a fighter while keeping his past hidden. Yet, despite his solitary life, he never lost his empathy for those who, like him, were forced to fight for survival.
It was during these later years that Taras crossed paths with Marichka the Unbreakable, a fateful meeting that would change both of their lives forever. Their bond grew strong, and together, they forged a legendary partnership that would be remembered in the annals of Telerian history.

@NurseWrath, It could work, but if you have your team set up properly, there will be nothing left for the Grim Reaper to reap… Poor Grimmie… 🙁
@ToanKnight – B_Hp is (I think) Base Hit Points (HP before adding gear). For Taras it should be that 22,305 number shown on his info screen (at Lvl 60).
If that is incorrect, please let me know.
Ah, never mind. It is per debuff. If I set my team up properly, the other team should never have a chance to take a turn, let alone place debuffs.
What’s B_Hp?
How abou Soul Reap blessing on Taras for Arena offense ?
Can it work ?
For dungeons, Kill Streak is great because it extends across each round, but in the arena it only gives 6% ATK (without buffs). Whereas Stoked Fury gives 4% ATK per buff up to 12%, which is great for a nuker, no?
What is the best equation to use to calculate the amount of damage his A3 will do? For example, you indicate that the damage is 0.26 B_HP. In addition, we get an addition 15% for each buff on our allies. I have 13 buffs. When I attacked, I did over 100k damage on 3 targets, but that exceeds their max HP, so at the end of the fight it showed I only did 27k damage. But, I want to be able to calculate the total output, regardless of whether it exceeds the targets’ max values. Thanks! (Also, it would be great if there were a maths page where we could find the equations used to calculate damage and mitigation. If you are up for it 🙂 )
Base Stat / Total Stat
HP: 15,915 / 50,357
ATK: 510 / 869
DEF: 1,004 / 1,618

CRT: 15% / 66%
CDM: 50% / 127%
RES: 30 / 75 (Up to 50% ATK mitigation)
IGNORE DEF: 25% from Savage Gear
I just pulled him, too and my lord, he has changed my arena game… He only has one book and a few masteries, sitting at level 50, but cleans house….
50,038 HP
00,859 ATK
01,598 Diff
00,138 SPD
00,066% CRate
00,127% CDamage
00,075 RES
00,025% Ignore Def
He is sporting Savage and Crit Damage artifacts.
I need to get my HP, CRate, Speed, Red, basically everything up.
Pulled Taras a short while ago, and he was immediately on my number 1 list to get to level 60, booked, and masteries. Currently at 82K HP, 1.4K ATK, 3.1DEF, 214SPD, 80% CRR, 144% CRDAM, 164 RES, 323 ACC. Resist is low, so not so good in arena. However, in clan boss, DT, 3×3, faction wars, I use him everywhere (and I do not even have his partner Marichka).
