Shirimani Review

Shirimani, the Frost Queen, is a Legendary Support Force affinity champion from the High Elves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. With an AOE freeze ability that’s one of the strongest enemy control abilities in the game, she’s a force to be reckoned with. But beware, her freeze can make your champions hit for 20% less damage.

In the arena, Shirimani works like a charm as a go-to champion behind your speed booster. She can completely lock out all of your enemies, giving your damage dealers more time to get their big nukes off for an easy win. It’s like putting your opponents in a deep freeze but without the risk of freezer burn.

Not just limited to the arena, Shirimani can also help you beat Spider 19 by freezing all of the spiderlings and utilizing the heal on her A2 ability. She’s a solid champion that can fit anywhere in the game. To maximize her potential, it’s best to gear her in speed and accuracy stats. But don’t forget, she hits really hard too! A good build with some crit rate and crit damage can turn her into an absolute monster, a true queen of the frost.

Shirimani Champion Lore

Shirimani was a promising researcher at the Aravian Academy of Arcana who pushed the boundaries of what was possible with frost magic. So far that she drew the attention of the Academy Elder. The two Elves argued about the limits to which arcane knowledge should go, such that Shirimani declared her intention to leave and establish her own academy. She needed the help of no one, she claimed. All anyone else would do was hold her back.

The Elder disagreed. She warned that Shirimani’s stubborn self-belief was dangerous and would draw the ire of the monarchy. Nonetheless Shirimani, thoroughly convinced of her own brilliance, reaffirmed her intentions. The Elder conceded, telling Shirimani that she would inform the relevant authorities of her decision – and warning her that such actions in Aravia often attract unexpected and unwanted consequences.

Shirimani left the city and headed northward, to the stark slopes of the Mountains of Despair. Here, she found, occupied, and restored an abandoned stone fortress, giving it gleaming towers of ice, repairing its crumbling walls, and seeing it as a temple to her achievements and a testament to her bright future. She lived there in total seclusion, devoting herself to uncovering the highest forms of frost magic.

Before long, without warning or apparent reason, Shirimani’s bastion was attacked. One pale evening, a horde of beings composed entirely of flame washed over the horizon and attacked her refuge. Unleashing a dozen avalanches, Shirimani repelled them.

The onslaught was nearly too much even for Shirimani’s extraordinary power. Stubborn as she was, and loath as she was to admit even to herself, Shirimani realized her decision to set out alone may have been a rash one. She was weakened, her fortress was damaged, and she feared any future attack might be the end of both her plans, and herself. For perhaps the first time in her life, she doubted her abilities, whether she really could go it alone after all. But the moment passed, her pride taking over: she wouldn’t flee or call for help. Not until she had no other choice. The fire-beings attacked again the following day, at the exact same time of night, but in greater numbers. Again, Shirimani beat them back. But her fortress was almost ruined, and she herself was almost spent. Once more, Shirimani considered asking for help. Once more, she stubbornly denied herself the easy way out.

As she convalesced, Shirimani pondered deeply: the same creatures, the same method of attack, from the same direction, regular as clockwork. To put those pieces together, she surmised, was to discern exactly how to stop these terrible beings. Shirimani remained in her chambers that night, wide awake and deep in thought. She recalled the Elder’s words concerning unexpected and unwanted consequences, and flew into a rage. It dawned on Shirimani that these elemental horrors were coming from Aravia. They weren’t wild. They were created and directed.

The evening after her realization, the latest, and largest, invasion of the entities came. They advanced over the horizon, marching towards Shirimani’s crumbling keep like a wall of flame. This time, she was ready. She stepped beyond the mangled gateway and stood before the fire-creatures, who halted. Shirimani demanded the true architect of these attacks to reveal themselves. Silence followed.

The entities could attack at any time, and Shirimani knew she could not hold against all of them. Nonetheless, she repeated her command. Suddenly, each and every creature was extinguished as if some fire-quenching breeze had swept through them. Now only a single old woman stood before Shirimani: the Academy Elder. Calm and poised, Shirimani faced the Elder. The Elder smiled at her, and then spoke.

The Elder revealed she had indeed informed King Hatharil of Shirimani’s secession, but had recommended the monarchy allow it on one condition — that she be tested. Shirimani was stubborn, temperamental, and, ironically, hotheaded. She had run to the hinterlands without a second thought. But Shirimani was also an exceptional sorceress, and the Elder wanted to see just how exceptional. The ice sorceress had kept fighting these creatures despite the toll it took upon her, refusing to give up, and through careful analysis, found a solution to her problem. The Elder was proud. Shirimani understood. She had proven herself, not least of all to herself.

From that day forward Shirimani remained independent, but maintained strong ties with the Academy of Arcana, and, in time, she transformed her fortress into a schola to which acolytes flocked from all corners of Aravia. Knowledge of ice magic in the wider realm expanded tenfold, and mages who have learned from Shirimani have used her teachings to thwart the forces of Darkness on many battlefields.

I have had her for awhile and I have to say she is incredible. She is only level 50 and not booked at all with good but not great gear but she is still helping my team through DT hard floors. I can’t wait until I get her maxed out to she how she does.

    @hoser2
Thanks for clarifying the language- I always thought the same thing as you, so I’ve been voiding Lore of Steel (and thought it was weird everyone loved it) for the same reason as what you mentioned!

  6. Sobloch

Shirimani + Ultimate Galek (or other burner) is quite good for spider 20 – 21 so definitely not 1 star spider.

  7. Erny JRC

Shiramani is is kinda good on freezeburn teams, like in spider 21-25… Idk Senpai Ayumi…I think She needs an update :3

What is damage multiplier in A2

    @Spam, @Ayumilove,

Agreed! The AoE freeze is perfect for an HP Burn Spider 20 team. Ironically, what makes freeze so much better than stun is that it makes the spiderlings take LESS damage. By taking less damage they survive longer and apply more HP Burn DoTs.

Wonderful site btw! We really appreciate all the things you do here.

Just got her, but I kitted her in relentless/speed. Is working pretty well so far. The double freezes are helping my progresssion quite a bit. I may change things up when I hit max level, but for now her utility can’t be denied.

  13. HW3

She has pushed my clan boss team up to another level (from 13m to 15m) so that is pretty cool.

  14. Hankisme

first time poster, long time reader.

Just want to agree with the majority of the commenters below. I just pulled her a few days ago. I havent seen her listed in anyones vids or lists since Ive been playing for about 8 months. But she is an absolute ALL AROUND BEAST. Not only is she an excellent healer, her damage is SUPRISINGLY big for a healer.

when you pull a charachter like her, it makes your priotizing whos’ making the sacrifice to rank up other’, much easier.

  15. hoser2

No. I really am an idiot. I misread Lore of Steel and apologize for all these nonsense posts.

I thought it meant: “Increases the base stat set bonuses of (all artifact sets that increase base stats by 15%)”.

But apparently it means: “Increases the base stat set bonuses of (all artifact sets that increase base stats) by 15%”.

In the words of the immortal Rosanna Rosanna Danna: Never mind.

@hoser2: It depends on how you want to build Shirimani. You can put Life, Offense, Defense, etc Sets on her instead of following the recommended Equipment Set as shown in this guide. You could always try to test them out and see the results for yourself if it helps clarify things better.

  17. hoser2

I agree that Speed is essential in Arena.

But does Lore of Steel improve the Speed of a Shirimani in 3 Speed sets?

Lore of Steel only helps sets that improve stats by 15% like Life, Offense, Defense, Cruel, etc.

Speed sets will not be helped because they improve Speed by 12%. A champ in 3 Speed sets will not benefit from Lore of Steel at all, as I understand it.

  18. Ayumilove Post author

@hoser2: Lore of Steel is essential in determining who starts the battle in Arena (when all the opponents are maxing out their Speed Stat). It could be a matter of 1 Speed that allows your opponent to start first, and wiped out your entire team. Lore of Steel may not play an important role when you are early-mid but as for Late~End Game, every speed stat counts. If Shirimani was the fastest, she could put enemies into Freeze status, wasting the opponent team 1 turn of opportunity to attack. It also increases the overall survivability/success of your nuking attack in the first wave.

  19. hoser2

I apologize in advance for my obtuseness in persisting, but I am still confused. Lore of Steel “Increases the Base Stat Set Bonuses of all Artifact Sets that increase Base Stats by 15%.”

But Speed sets increase speed by 12%, not 15%. How does Lore of Steel improve a Shirimani (or any champ) with three Speed sets?

I suggested Cycle of Magic not because it seemed great, but as something that would at least provide some benefit. It still seems better than the nonexistent benefit of Lore of Steel on a champ with all Speed sets.

Thanks again for your fantastic site and your attention.

  20. Ayumilove Post author

@hoser2: Cycle of Magic success rate is 5% which is quite low. I experimented using this mastery and it occurs once every Champion’s 50 turns. Lore of Steel will help get every tiny speed boost to start first before enemy takes their turn. It’s is crucial for Arena battle.

  21. hoser2

Just wondering about the “Lore of Steel” mastery. The recommended artifacts are three Speed set. If she’s in all speed gear, does Lore of Steel even help? Is “Cycle of Magic” likely to be more helpful?

Oh and thanks! Your site has been a fantastic resource and I feel very grateful.

  22. True

Did bit of testing of shirimani (i have her fully booked wanted to get her heal booked but unlucky)
And i must say i am kind of surprised of her dmg capabilities what i have seen so far.

My math and data for her multipliers are actually higher than i expected ( Might have made mistakes and other stuff so don’t take this as truth as i suck with this type of math)

Her a1 seems to have 1.4-1.6 x 3 what is ok
A3 seems to be 4.5 to 5.1 as fully booked what once again is decent when you think about that she is support ( yes there are champions classified as support and have high damage multipliers)

  23. YoYoYo

Faction Crypt Rating Plz I got a bet on this

  24. scols

Thats what Im talking about! She is an absolute beast. For me Elhain is my main dmg dealer (6* legendary 6* arifacts with excellent stats) and Shirimani deals dmg very close to her in CB (fells behind in some dungeons). So yes, as others also said, she is way underrated with rank B.

  25. DarkPope

I just fought this champ in arena, I had Tayrel, Apothecary, and Rae, all 6 star fully ascended, Tayrel and Apothecary fully booked but no books on Rae. She was the last one standing vs the 3 I had left and it went on for over 4 more minutes before I finally beat her, way under rated as a B rank! I want this champ in my vault!!!

  26. mr. Higgins

Just pulled this champ and I have about 15 Legos, 17 if you count my second and 3rd Mountain King. You definitely have underrated Shirimani. She’s a god in Arena, and good almost everywhere else. I’d put her above champs in my collection like Long Beard, Lord Shazaar, Tormin (more versitile outside arena), Harvest Jack, and Warchief. Really only below the obvious contenders Draco, BEK, Zavia, Nethril, Rhazin, and Turvold.

  27. scols

First of all thx for this amazing site. You put together some real masterpiece.

    About Shirimani:
Since she is my one and only legendary (sigh^^) Im playing her almost everywhere.
Im strongly believe that her rank B is underrated.
Her heal is kinda amazing. Considering that Apothecary is rank S and one of the reason is the strong heal output, Shirimani should be at least in rank A. A massive group wide heal and a very strong AOE with 80% for freeze. She is a real stomper in almost all scenarios. Using a fully upgraded lvl 60 one and she kicks ass.

    Have a great day! 🙂

  28. Lethany

Why is she a lvl 1 star spider champ?
She has an AOE freeze, a 3 random attack with freeze A1, and an AOE heal.
    It sounds good on paper.

  29. Neon82UK

I use her in Fire Knight 20 and nothing else. Part of a Skull crusher counter attack team.
