Sepulcher Sentinel Storyline

Countless crypts and cursed mausoleums lie hidden in the Stormwind Wastelands. They lure foolish mortals in with the promise of power, wealth, or even life eternal, and those who fall into this trap often end up paying with their life or, wittingly or not, unleashing whatever evil lies within upon the world. But while the occasional warlock or renegade only presents a marginal danger, the dreaded Knights Revenant have both manpower and esoteric knowledge in abundance – the losses sustained when exploring ancient tombs are negligible to them. Many terrible secrets fell into the hands of the Knights Revenant over the centuries of their existence, but few would ever match the Sepulcher of Gorak-Kha the Serpent – a Demon Lord who led the very first invasion of Teleria. Though the Arbiter, at the peak of her power in those ancient days, had slain Gorak-Kha in personal combat and obliterated his unholy spirit, mortal cultists who would lay down the foundation for the Knights Revenants of today managed to retrieve what remained of the great demon’s body. Sworn to secrecy, they interred it in a sarcophagus of enchanted obsidian deep beneath the earth. And although millennia passed since that fateful battle, Gorak-Kha’s power still resides on the mortal plane. The Knights Revenant guard the crypt jealously, and elite Sepulcher Sentinels are charged with its defense. These dark-hearted warriors have repelled countless assaults initiated by rival cults, Undead Lords, mercenaries, and even bands of Lumayan Champions. Gorak-Kha’s power grants them unholy boons, some hardening the Sentinels’ armour so that it may turn away even the most vicious blow or spell, others allowing them to weaken the enemy with but a touch. Not only that, the Sepulcher Sentinels often carry small tokens taken from the offerings left on their Overlord’s grave, which extend Gorak-Kha’s ‘blessings’ to those fighting side-by-side with his chosen.

    Are your Masteries graphics switched around?

  2. Joseph Garrison

    For Clan Boss, you have her with offense and support masteries. Hell Hades has Offense and Defense. Do you have your masteries graphics mixed up?

  3. NurseWrath

    i don’t get it,
    why mastery for arena build offense+defense ?
    how she can benefit for this as defensive chemp?
    u suggest build (DEF%, HP%, SPD, ACC) which doesnt fit with arena mastery…?
    i think defense+support would be much better for arena…

  4. kumar

    hello ayumilove

    can you buil her mastery all content and areas.
    and best artifact equip her.
    thank you

  5. Sly

    Hi, I have a couple of her since the begining and use her very often. Can you please update the DT rating for her?

  6. Dazdurnarr

    She is amazing! My 6th lvl 60 champ help to reach lvl 109 in DT, beat NM CB with 2-3 keys. I think she passive so unique, and underrated. I think she was definitely S.

  7. BORDER

    WHEN AN ALLY IS ATTACKED I READ .. JUST GOT HER

  8. CSavage

    Hey all. I’ve been looking to speed tune her for my UNM team. But she either goes to fast or slow for the boss throwing her block debuff out of sync by turn 20. Anyone have an exact speed I need to reach with minimum setup?

  9. ddd90

    @doro626 That is not what it says. It says there is a 25-50% chance to block incoming when an ally is attacked in general. But it will only block the targeted (by the enemy) ally when an aoe is cast.

  10. doro626

    Now I see they changed teh dialogue to Sept. Sents Passive. Now it says that it only works if multiple allies are attacked at the same time. Does anyone know if this is a change, or just a clarification for how it was working all along?

  11. Dark Lord Dog

    She’s not used for fusion any more.

  12. MikeyMike

    What is your opinion on Sepulcher sentinel vs Coffin Smasher for CB attack down champion?

    Although the %chance is higher for Coffin Smasher (with 3 hits comes to +-65% total attach down while Sepulcher Sentinel has 60% max fully booked), Sepulcher has the Defense Up and passive that can compensate for the potential turns without attack down.
    As such Sepulcher is better, but only when fully booked which is very expensive as a non-paying player. So I’m wondering if long-term Sepulcher is truly much better in your opinion.

    Thanks

  13. Jawkn

    I was thinking about this for a bit but don’t see how the rejuvenation mastery is useful for her. Can you elaborate on that choice? None of her skills involve shield buffs or healing.

  14. alphallama

    After some testing, if you are using ally protection, and her passive procs on the one who isn’t the ally protect person, it will proc for both of them. For example Tyrant has his ap up, skull crusher gets hit, and you will see 2 “0’s” show up when it procs. Not sure if this helps some one because people are under the impression that it will only cover 1 person, in this case it covers 2. Thats the only thing that I have found with her.

  15. Ayumilove Post author

    @RAF: Sepulcher Sentinel’s A1 damage multiplier is added to the guide above. Thanks!

  16. Ayumilove Post author

    @Conso55: I think Sepulcher Sentinel passive skill protects the champion in the leader position if she is not in the leader position.

  17. Ayumilove Post author

    @Scabadin: I have added Sepulcher Sentinel’s A1 Damage Multiplier. Probably I have missed her when adding damage multiplier for all the champions skills. Thanks for pointing it out!

  18. Scabadin

    @Ayumilove – do you know the Attack Modifier of the A1 (it’s missing)? Thanks

  19. Conso55

    I watched some videos that show that, if she is leader, in CB she tends to protect the far right champion during AOEs.

    What is the ‘target’ if she is not Leader in CB? I was thinking about running Atlan as Leader in CB for more DEF aura.

  20. Conso

    I read on reddit that, in CB, she protects the far left right champ during AOE if you run her as Leader.

    I would like to run Atlan as leader to get a bigger Def Aura, does anyone know how the ‘targeting’ would change?

  21. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

    Yes, I also stumbled upon Sepulcher Sentinel vs Magma Dragon and found the same as Tomowatt; I use Warchief, and it seems like every other attack, Warchief takes no damage. And since the Magma Dragon is being provoked nearly all the time, this means only one champion takes damage, ever, and only about half the time. And since for me that champion is Warchief, he’s reflecting back 60% of that damage when he does take it. Brilliant!

  22. R A F

    Hi, i found that multiplier are a really nice information. If you want to add sepulcher A1’s multiplier it is 3.3 def.

  23. Tomowatt

    I find Sepulcher Sentinel very helpful at Magma Dragon. She inflicts ATK down, prevents HP Burn and has a coin-flip chance of nullifying the boss’s attack which otherwise bypasses all of your defenses – except this one.

  24. Joseph Nguyen

    Why is Sepulcher rated 2 star in Spider?

    She’d make for a perfect tank being negative affinity drawing all the aggro.

  25. Skellionz

    @grumpy_old_Bear
    Brawlers damage on CB comes from his passive poison apply and his on hit apply, blocking the debuffs he does on himself won’t make a massive difference as its rare he gets to 5 on CB anyway. Just my thoughts anyway

  26. Skellionz

    @grumpy old bear.
    brawlers damage on cb doesnt really need debuffs on him, it come from his passive poison apply and his poison on hit. Blocking debuffs won’t make a massive difference imo

  27. katherine montero

    Why no damage multiplier for sepulcher sentinel?

  28. Grumpy_Old_Bear

    So I am still pre 6* I have a question on early-mid game Clan Boss with Sepulcher Sentinal. Is it counter-productive to use her in CB raids alongside occult Brawler? It would initially seem so to me as she blocks his self debuffs which increase his dmg to targets with Curse Eater. neither champion is deeply booked, definitely not to reduced cooldown yet. Do I continue with both or find a replacement for Sepulcher?

  29. andrew

    should get the photo up of Master Guild if you have a Counter Attack Tune for Sep

  30. BeachBoys

    I’m going with cycle of magic, lasting gifts, and master hexer. Also how does evil eye help any way?

  31. Hoffi

    Would use also support tree in an CB Counter Team?

  32. Himnal

    @Ayumilove,
    I was running her last night on D20 as lead and she was consistently proccing her passive on the #3 spot. I’m very curious if anyone else has seen this trend. Another question, does it proc if she isn’t in the lead? haven’t tested it yet.

  33. _Gandra_Che_

    Why Lore of steel (for CB and Dungeon setup) if reccomended sets are Lifesteal and Accuracy (none have +15% increase base stats)?

  34. Dean Schwichtenberg

    Question on this skill. Untouched By Death [Passive] (Cooldown: 1 turns)
    Has a 25% chance of completely blocking incoming damage when this Champion or their allies are attacked. Occurs once per turn. On an AOE attack, does it do this “check” just 1 time per turn, or will it check hero #1 if it fails, then check hero #2, and if it fails then check hero #3? The reason that I am asking is it seems like this skill “works” at a much higher rate than 25% “per turn”, it almost seems like it is checking for each hero hit on an attack. I know it will only actually “trigger” one time, I am more curious about the how?

  35. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

    Just 6-starred her. People love her or trash her. Here goes nothing! Fingers crossed that she’s as awesome as I want her to be.

  36. Ayumilove Post author

    @Thoro: I believe only 1 of them will proc. It will proc for the 2nd position of the champion in the team setup if Sepulcher Sentinel is in the leader position.

  37. Ayumilove Post author

    @Tom Chapman Barros-Wing: I have updated the typo. Thanks!

  38. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

    Oops–under her ratings, you have “Fire Knight’s Castle” misspelled “Fire Knight’s Castlecal.”

  39. Jesper Nielsen

    @Arkkinite

    Because of retribution mastery

  40. Thoro

    Hello, I have 4 sepulcher sentinels. Before I spend a bunch of resources on them, their passive will stack? I mean: if the passive proc, it’s counting like everyone of them proc for that turn or what? And if not, there is the possibility that their passive procs together for the same hit?

  41. Arkkinite

    @Jesper Nielsen

    Would you kindly explain what in the Defence tree helps her maintain her Atk Down?

  42. Jesper Nielsen

    I wonder if it might be better to go the defense route for a CB build, since it will increase her chances of keeping ATK down up?
    I’m running her with Bulwark as lead and it hurts when ATK down falls off.

  43. Isop

    2* for Spider? She has the ability to completely block the dmg for your tank (possibly her) once per turn, she also has the ability to raise defense for the tank and the ability to block the poisons from spiderlings. I must be using her wrong, she’s rocking Spiders Den for me.

  44. Exeon

    @Erik Bowman,

    That’s indeed the case, 40% isn’t a lot booked at 60% is a bit better, but an investment.
    She does use her A1 more often then others due to having only a second non-passive skill

    @Erian Ravel

    This was always the case, even from early testing it was 1 ally max, it can still apply to herself.
    I’m also pretty sure her passive doesn’t make or break her, it’s a nice bonus, the reason she’s up so high is because she brings a lot for 1 kit.

  45. VImEp

    @Cizko, if you look at the original description as can still be seen on this page above (completely blocking incoming damage when this Champion or their allies are attacked) against what it states now: “completely blocking incoming damage when an ally is attacked”.
    Either it was changed or the original description by Plarium was very misleading.

  46. Cizko

    @Erian Ravel she do that since the first day, that’s not a nerf

  47. Erian Ravel

    @ayumilove now you can take her from 5 stars to 3.

  48. Erian Ravel

    You need to update your info. Plarium already nerfed her Passive (now it only affects ONE ally, and not herself anymore). So it went from God tier to trash tier.
    Btw, Plarium didn’t notify anyone about this NERF.

  49. Erik Bowman

    Just an FYI, she is very poor (40% to land debuff) without fully booking her Sword of Withering ability. I don’t think I’m will to spend at least 6 books to make that happen, so disappointed

  50. Ayumilove Post author

    @ClyDeft: I would not recommend selecting Lasting Gifts mastery for Sepulcher Sentinel. Reason being, it will disrupt the sequence the Clan Boss targets, which may end up accidentally hitting your weakest champion. Assuming you have Sepulcher Sentinel as lead to tank Clan Boss stuns, and she places the Increase Defense 60% on all allies and one of them have their expired fairly quickly (2 turn vs 3 turn buff), Clan Boss will hit the champion that does not have Increase Defense buff. Once the champion has low HP, the Clan Boss will target that champion with his single-target high damage stun attack on him/her. Shield Breaker mastery is used for champions that has buff. It would be useful to clear enemies that have shields in Dungeon waves and especially Magic Keep boss.

  51. ClyDeft

    Just a feedback on the CB build.. I would change out 2 of the ones put there.. The t4 and t5 mainly… I would add: Circle of Magic (instead of: Lore of Steel), this so that you can get: Lasting Gifts…

    Just my thoughts.. I feel that Lasting gifts is overall a more important t5 than Sniper…

    Also on Offence Tree.. Shield Breaker adds nothing towards the Clan Boss.. Maybe better to go: Heart of Glory…

    Sorry if I mistyped the names of the Masteries.. But hope it’s clear to what Masteries I am talking about…

    Thanks for the quick guide btw.. 😀

  52. Beast

    @Lloyd, she’s only got a 1-hit A1.
    @Jirure There’s a good argument to be made for both. Evil eye is pretty great actually, and it can be handy in the arena. Cycle of Magic would probably be my pick, though, just because she’s only got one skill with a cooldown that it could apply to.

  53. Lloyd

    Why Warmaster over Giant Slayer for Clan Boss? Most 3 hitters you have on this site are geared with Giant Slayer? Thanks!

  54. Jirure

    Why Evil Eye over Cycle of Magic for CB tree?

  55. Ayumilove Post author

    @ycv: Thanks for your comment! I have updated Sepulcher Sentinel’s Void Rating from 4 to 5 stars.

  56. Ayumilove Post author

    @dhr21577: Thanks for your input. I have added a new Sepulcher Sentinel masteries for Clan Boss and Dungeons. I would not pickup Rapid Response as it will unsync her from Clan Boss Team that requires speed tuning with Counter Attack champion unless she is mainly used in a Speed Meta team (go as fast as possible). Arcane Celerity is mainly used for AoE debuffers to gain the most out of it.

  57. ycv

    I would say this one is 5* on void keep due to block debuffs ability.

  58. dhr21577

    Agree with the other comment. For Clan Boss/Dragon etc she should be scrolled in offense and support. She doesn’t gain a whole lot from the defense tree, while the support tree offers a lot of utility. My scrolling of her is:

    R1: Deadly Precision, Pinpoint Accuracy
    R2: Heart of Glory, Keen Strike, Exalt in Death
    R3: Single Out, Rapid Response, Arcane Celerity
    R4: Bring it Down, Cycle of Magic, Lore of Steel
    R5: Methodical, Sniper, Master Hexer
    R6: Warmaster

  59. Muddy407

    Why dont you go down the support part of the tree to get the increase acc and chance on the A1. Just asking as it seems a bit odd.

  60. Deltree

    @Winwin Just checked. They are.

    Good kit. She would be perfect for Reflex gear dont you think?
    Great site btw.

  61. Winwin

    Skills doesn’t look right to me.
