Legacy of Despair (Cooldown: 4 turns)
Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Before attacking, has a 75% chance of placing a 25% [Weaken] debuff on the target for 2 turns. Will ignore 15% of the target’s DEF and any [Block Damage] buffs. Will also ignore an additional 5% of the target’s DEF for each buff on this Champion (stacks up to 35%). Reduces the cooldown of this Champion’s Discordant Fury skill by 1 turn and places a [Stun] debuff on all enemies for 1 turn if this attack kills the target. This debuff cannot be resisted or blocked.

While this Champion is under an [Increase ATK] buff, a [Block Debuffs] buff, and a [Veil] or a [Perfect Veil] buff at the same time, prevents this Champion’s death and their debuffs and instant effects also cannot be resisted.

Rhaia the Mourned was once one of the most respected leaders in the Mistwood, ruling over a region renowned for its breathtaking beauty and abundance. Her lands were a sanctuary where Elves and Fae lived in harmony among lush forests, sparkling waters, and countless forms of wildlife. The prosperity of this paradise was largely due to Rhaia herself, whose deep love for the land was matched only by her devotion to its people. According to Talenna Soulseer, Rhaia was also compassionate and welcoming, offering friendship and support when others would not. She dreamed of bringing together the Elves of Anhelt and Peltas and worked tirelessly to strengthen unity among her kind.

Although known for her kindness, Rhaia was also a capable and determined ruler. She expertly navigated the politics of the Sylvan Court while remaining true to her principles. Her wisdom, authority, and commitment earned widespread admiration throughout the Mistwood. Few leaders commanded the same level of respect. Under her guidance, her domain flourished, becoming one of the most vibrant regions in all the Sylvan lands. She balanced care for nature with the responsibility of leadership, ensuring that both her people and the forests they called home thrived together.

Everything changed when the Corruption emerged within her territory. Rhaia responded immediately, gathering every available warrior and sending warnings to settlements across the region. Taking up arms herself, she led the fight against the spreading threat. As she travelled through her lands, she witnessed scenes of devastation that would have broken many others. Crystal clear ponds became foul pools of crimson sludge, while majestic trees were overtaken by twisted red growths. Though sorrow weighed heavily on her heart, she refused to surrender to despair and continued fighting to protect everything she cherished.

For a time, her determination gave the Sylvan people hope that victory remained possible. That hope was shattered when Rhaia herself succumbed to the Corruption. Her Rhythm became entangled with its influence, transforming her appearance and turning her into a terrifying servant of the very force she had battled. The corruption within her disrupted the natural balance of the Mistwood, accelerating the spread of destruction. Her son, Folan Silverhart, fought bravely to hold back the disaster and became the last beacon of resistance. Yet when he too fell to the Corruption, nearly all hope vanished. With the domain on the brink of collapse, Talenna Soulseer and Vallaryn the Equalizer were left with only a desperate plan.

To those around her, Rhaia appears completely lost. Yet deep within the corrupted shell that now walks the Mistwood, fragments of her former self still endure. Fleeting emotions, broken memories, and incomplete thoughts remain trapped beneath the Corruption’s control. These remnants are too weak to free her, but they allow her to understand the horrors she now causes. She feels the destructive urges driving her actions and recognises the suffering she inflicts upon her homeland. Unable to resist, she exists in a tragic state, aware of her downfall while powerless to stop it.
