Pitiless One Storyline
Clad in brass armour and bearing the grinning visage of Death, the Pitiless One does well to remain true to his title. His mind is as sharp as the razor-like arrowheads of his bolts, and many would-be heroes found their doom right after realizing they have been outmaneuvered. This fiend of a sharpshooter takes cold satisfaction in ensuring his every shot is a lethal one – whenever such precision is possible. But it is not just arrogance or perfectionism that drives the Pitiless One. Whatever dark magic binds him to his cruel weapon ensures that a perfect shot allows this Champion of evil to feed on the lifeblood of his victims. Invigorated and healed in such a manner, the Pitiless One can continue fighting even against overwhelming odds, and even strength in numbers may not be enough to bring him down.

The B rating seems generous. It’s not that he’s terrible. Both of his skill hit darned hard, and the turn meter boost is interesting. But …
His kit needs 100% CR and very high CD to really be activated and taken advantage of. If you don’t build him like that, he IS useless! Trouble is, you get a finite amount of such gear in this game. And there are 100 Epics with similar damage potential and FAR more useful kits who will do MUCH more for your account with the same gear on their backs.
He needs a buff. Perhaps if his A1 STOLE turn meter, instead of just boosting it, or if his passive also ignored 15% DEF on top of the heal. That might make him more compelling and able to play in more areas of the game. As it is, he’s best served for the Spider dungeon and as a campaign farmer. Definitely not worth the books.
You won’t be nuking spiderlings past level 15 or so, and you can farm campaign with freaking Saurus and use no Epic or even Rare books at all!
I keep him in the vault in hopes that he eventually gets some love from the Plarium gods. Interesting kit and premise … just not good enough to waste resources on.
@Magsy: I have updated Pitiless One rating for Clan Boss from 1 Star to 3 Star based on the usefulness of his Critical Rate Aura. In end-game, most of those Critical Rate can be easily achieved from equipment substats. As such, his usages will be quite limited for Clan Boss at later stages. This same applies for other areas in the game since it will provide more flexibility if all champions have high Critical Rate from the start, and you can have different Champion in the Leader Position rather than Critical Rate Aura. I have also revised his rating for Campaign from 3 star to 5 star as I have tested he can speed farm Campaign 12-3 Brutal at 4 Star Ascension, which is very good.

This dude became great after patch 2.2, a lot of turn meter gain from skills and have a high survivability due to his passive, very strong on arena and campaign farms.
Im using Retaliation and Offense Set, and got 85% critical rate, it’s working well.
Why is he 1 star for clan boss? I have him maxed out and he’s crucial for my squad to getting high damage vs clan boss. I have him as my leader to get his crit boost aura. To put it in perspective my ultimate galek reaches 92% crit rate with aura and has a grit damage of 125% not to mention galek basically always has a 50% att boost up thanks to his 2nd att and high crit chance on top of my other teammate gorgorab. My cold heart has a 6star relentless legend set so its able to get many chances to cycle through its attacks (all of my champs are 100% booked out). Coldheart has an 80% chance to crit with a grit damage being 150%. My gorgorab helps heal the team and get att boosts. My thenasil paired with gorgorab can keep my whole team alive and healthy up until turn 15+ on hard. My pitiless one has a 100% crit rate with aura and its crit damage is 220%. It’s secondary att doesn’t really help vs clan boss but consistently will put out around the same amount as damage as ultimate galek/coldheart which are pretty powerful. It’s defenses are weaker so its the first to drop on my team but it’s aura is the main reason its so powerful vs clan boss imo. If you have 2 other champions that can get anywhere 70% or above with crit chance after aura while also having a decent crit damage from amulet or whatever then pitiless one feels like a 4 star vs clan boss. Sure it’s not great by itself meaning you need stuff alongside to abuse its aura but that aura fills a niche making it pretty valuable vs clan boss if you have thee right champions next to it. I’m middle game anyways and out of all my 12 sacred shards I have yet to get a legendary so ya some champions outclass it especially a legend with a crit chance boost aura but in middle game its pretty decent at least for me.
He’s my main farmer and pretty darn effective. Critical rate him to 100% and get his AoE skill to 2 turn cool down. He can inflict some massive damage to everyone.
What it really comes down to is how well his damage scales on his AOE.
He will be able to use it a lot since it will effectively be on a 2 turn cooldown as long as he has 100% crit.
So if he’s able to do big damage then he might be good for clearing trash mobs in dragon.
I wouldn’t waste books on a campaign farmer.
Once leveled up and geared properly, he’s one of the best farming heroes I think. 100% crit rate with aura is pretty easy which means 100% chance healing and almost 100% chance extra turn with AOE skill.
And I don’t Share ayumis oppinion. With high crit rate her heals in every damage he inflicts and he has AOE. Furthermore He has a good attack and HP stat at the end.
Well, that hurt. I saw that he was rated as excellent and he had high stars in every segment of gameplay so went hard on him… came back today to see he has been reevaluated and is currently almost trash. Im a new player and was pretty pumped to get him as an epic :C
