Crazy high damage modifiers….
i dont trust the in-game reviews but, her damage is based on attack even tho she is a defense champ. penitent doesnt seem like a team player either, seems like a contradicting champ, just my opinion but, at the same time im working on building up this champ so im contradicting myself aswell.
I find it very interesting that Penitent is listed as trash on all Raid-related websites. Aside from leveling her as part of the first fusion step into Rhazin Scarhide, Penitent is mostly considered food for other champions.
Still, if you look at the 157 in-game reviews, she is listed with mid-high ratings for all locations. In fact, aside from Skavag (4.2 rating) and Magic Keep (4.4 rating), all other ratings are 4.5 or above.
Any thoughts on this discrepancy?
I’ve dropped so many green shards in the past year and I still have not pulled this champ to compete the Rhazin fusion… 🙁
Does this champion ever drop in a dungeon?
Her A3, Unshakable Faith, is currently 3 turns duration, not 2

Her BASE atk is low, but her skills damage scale very well. So with some atk and atk% her damage is actually really good. It’s the opposite of say Kalia who looks good because she has high base ATK, but then you see the damage scaling on her skills are attrocious.
But yeah, you could build her to be an ATK debuffer but there are a lot of better more readily available characters who do a better job at that. She’s a good single target attacker and in that game, especially for a rare champion, she’ll actually fair really well.
I’m guessing defense is better since just looking at her skills her entire purpose is to apply the decrease attack debuff as much as possible. Her attack is very bad to begin with but her defense is decent. So you won’t be getting much attack damage out of this champion anyway, might as well keep her her surviving with extra defense to keep applying the decrease attack debuff. Its the only reason to use her when lots of other champs are better.

As PixieCola asked, why is she listed as Defense when all damage scales off of attack and she provides no team support at all?

Curious why The Penitent is a Defense Champion but her damage scales off of Attack.
Also why we should build Defense% rather than attack%?
In her list of priorities, Attack isn’t even mentioned.
