Paragon is the only way I could beat the final boss on nightmare campaign (paired with Artak) to 3 star all of campaign. He is therefore at least D tier XD

I’ve also noticed that the AI tends to cast his Unkillable on either himself (if all his allies are at similar health) or on his most injured ally, so if you can’t kill him before he goes, you can try doing a lot of damage to one of his allies, and he’ll likely cast Unkillable on them, letting you then kill him.
Another way to beat him is if you can extend his cooldown. I’ve beaten him that way a few times in the Barbarian Faction Wars stages with Zephyr Sniper. Of course it’s easier to just monitor the stage and make sure you target and kill him first thing before he can go.

It’s not very well communicated ingame (only in the FAQ section), but sets ignore accuracy and resistance. If you can’t beat this guy, just use a stun set. He can’t resist that. Doesn’t even have to be good gear or on a good champ. Some rando from your vault will do.
Or, of course, Ronda. Irresistible block active skills is a hard counter to paragon.
I didn’t think it was possible to beat paragon solo, but finally I made it.
I used a setup with Helior, Ma’shalled, Elegaius and Mountain King, and it did the trick.

Wow, so this guy can do infinite unkillable can’t he? Only way i beat him in faction crypts is by stunning him at the right time which I luckily had available on my team.

I have never beaten this character even with buff removal characters in my team. In every case I lose 13 points in Arena which is just plain rubbish. Of course even at L86 I don’t have any of the Legendary debuffers because I’m free to play. The 1 star rating in this case are pure rubbish.
@Roger and others, if Paragon’s Resist is high enough, then no, you can’t steal/remove his Unkillable buff, as he resists it. You would need to beat him to his turn to block his Unkillable buff if he’s solo, or if he’s with others, then you’d have to hope he’d place it on another champion.
Arena Defense deserves more than 1 star. Sure there are ways to beat him, but not very many. Shouldn’t Resistance be a substat priority?
Coming across this guy is a kind of ‘oh no, not again’ moment. He is a pain in the arse.
Is his unkillable unremovable? I’ve used Romero, Snorting Thug and Spider to try and steal it and leach isn’t taking his last HP at the beginning of his term. He is definitely better than 1 star if I can’t get past him with the obvious tricks. Stone Skin prevents hurting him before he puts it on.
Hi Ayumilove. i would like to know what the best build for paragon would be. as i have battled him in the arena and cannot defeat him. and all he was is a 4 star and only lvl 35. i have battled him many of times. some are quick to get down in the arena but most are impossible. so i would be all good if you could show me a set up so i dont get killed
Besides cheesing his the Best champion in the game to keep a reviver alive in the rare category and even the epic category arguably.
He´s at least 4 more likely 5 stars at fireknight. Can keep the reviver alive with A2 and apply heal reduction and decrease atk on fireknight(provided the shield is quiet low or down) to keep the team alive or give it a chance to come back, without getting demolished right after.
Also makes sure fightknight won´t heal back up.
Can certainly make a difference in many areas. I´ve seen someone solo Bommal the Dreadhorn with Paragon too. Any enemy that can´t heal up well or doesn´t have buffstip mechanics will eventually fall to Paragon. Pretty cool
I feel you have underrated Paragon, ayumilove. Their abilities are quite good. In addition, rares are easier to book than epics and legendaries. So, that’s an unkillable and 25% increase atk buff which is always up. Surely, that is worth something more than a F rating.
Used a 3-star level 16 Paragon to beat Nightmare 12-7, combined my Ma’Shaled. Put enough gear on Paragon to achieve following stats: 10k HP (not important), ATK 640 (not important), DEF 900 (not important), SPD 185 (important; could be higher, but with the occasional boost from Ma’Shaled was enough), CR.Rate 24% (not important), CR. DAM 102% (not important), RES 235 (important, to not get stripped of unkillable), ACC 158 (not important). Took 8 minutes, on manual (important).

@Hhh: You can still use Paragon to clear Nightmare 12-7 Campaign Boss to achieve 3 stars and obtain the final reward. Also, if you have issue with Spider’s Den or Nether’s Spider (Doom Tower), you can use him there to bypass the specific stage to proceed to the next stage.
I levelled and ascended my Paragon to 50, is he basically food now?

Just so u guys know, the paragon trick does work in spider still.
Here’s how:
a) took me a while to get it to work.. because there are many factors involved.
First there must be a huge difference in health between paragon and everyone else.. not just her simply having lower hp.
Affinity does matter, but it’s only a factor..
I also failed because my melga shield buffed Paragon..making his effective hp too high.
Having Paragon as leader didn’t seem to do much for me.
Kind of a nice arena defense trick, two turn unkillable with 2 turn cooldown. I just went up against one that was rank 5, level 1 and thought nothing of it. Then I didn’t have anyone to remove buffs and couldn’t win. I went back in and there was a ton of resistance, so it still took me 4 refreshes on my Gurgoh to remove the unkillable.
@Dominic R Hester You pick offence so you can get the final offence mastery warmaster, which gives him massive hits on bosses. His base stats are fairly weak so even though he has a decent mulitplier on his A1, he will still never deal good damage. His utility comes from turn meter reduction and his heal reduction+attack down debuff, which requires more accuracy from the support tree.
Why did you pick attack and support ?!?! Paragon uses defense for skills attack is useless on him.
F what a joke. I fooded him by mistake cause of the rating… he should be at least B wth!

Sadly I just paid attention to his rating I. The roster on here and used him for fodder. I didn’t realize that he was the bastard from faction crypt that makes it an endless run. I haven’t found a new one yet… 😢

I’m stuck with Campaign 12-7 Nightmare and finally (to late) found out he would really usefull at 12-7 cause of his unkillable buff…. no clue how often I used him for fusing, meh.

Just fought this guy in a one man arena team in gold and could not kill him. Obviously he wasn’t going to beat me but seams a little too OP
Just gotta make sure you don’t have Alure or Lyssandra or somebody like that on your crypt team and walk away. Come back an hour later, still fighting Paragon.
@Malibu: Paragon is still easily defeatable provided you remove his buff, ignore unkillable, perform crowd control so he can’t take his turn to re-apply the Unkillable buff, block cooldown skills, increase skill cooldown, etc. There are many ways to defeat Paragon in Arena.
@Meener: 3 stars means he is used for utility (cheesy trick) and it has to be done manually to be reliable. 5 stars means he can solo the boss, deal high damage to the boss, or help the team immensely on auto. I have a Paragon as well fully skilled and geared and I seldom use him apart from Campaign 12-7 Nightmare Boss and Spider Dungeon run once. The ratings here are based from my experiences using him.
You re so wrong..this guy is amazing…if u gear him with retal and speed above 200, fully booked he will work wonders!!!
I think a better gear for Paragon (at least for Arena) would be Retaliation + Speed. I have just got one, so I plan to test this…
This bastard caught me off guard a couple times on Faction Crypts.
If you don’t kill him first, or have a block buff/remove buff skill, his A2 (maxed) will force you to forfeit the fight, since you can’t kill him.
But, I guess that’s precisely why he’s got low rating.
The cheesy trick is great, but it needs a lot of specific conditions to make it 100% reliable.
How he can be 3 stars on spiders? He is the one who can get you through it and i dont count campaign nightmare with only 2 champs… his raiting here is so bad while he is awesome?
Paragon happened to be one of the opponents of my Athel in Faction Crypts. If I did not pick him manually at the beginning of the round, the battle seemed to last forever.
if you put him alone in speed equipement and into the arena, he is unkillable if you have no buff block or block cooldown right?
Just come up against this guy in the Arena. On his own. Unkillable lasts 2 rounds. Then straight back on. I had him on min HP on the first shot. Thought I’d never beat him haha

This hero is not a F hero. He can be used as one in a duo to make 3 star nightmare campaign due to the unkillable…
I am trying to get past spider 15 using paragon un-killable tactic but I think they have changed the spiderling AI. They hit Paragon 2 times then switch to another target. I have Paragon under 10K hp and they will not stay attacking him.
Disregard what I’ve typed below about the DEF being useful.
He has to have the lowest HP of them all, and low DEF, for aggro reasons, so others can breathe without fear of getting targeted.
I’ve seen this dude carry a 6th CB team to somewhere about 36mil damage per key in one clan.
His 2 needs to be fully booked for him to shine.
Resistance and Speed were the key stats for him. Defense is useful too.
