   Out of curiosity… I just got Astralon, and was wondering if his damage reduction (25%) would stack with Norog’s own damage reduction too?
   What If I throw Mycolus (void Ogryn, reduces everyone’s damage taken by 5%, and he takes it instead)

   Norog is worth upgrading now due to iron fortress. he isnt one sided anymore where you find use of him in fc only

   This guy should be upped to 5* in faction wars. Equipped with guardian, he is an incredible tank and can easily protect the whole team in stage 21 (steelskull is a big bonus though)

   I used to not have much of a place for Norog on my roster, but I decided to test him in Spider 25 and now consider him a 5* in Spider 25. He tanks and runs as lead for me. With lowest HP and no off affinity champs on my team Norog always gets targeted by the spiders. 40% Inc Def team aura and 15% dmg reduction passive is powerful. Now my Spider 25 runs are 100% instead of 75% because of Norog.

   On a roster that doesn’t have a ton of other champs he could be good in arena too. Also, if you don’t have an unkillable CB team he has a solid place on some CB teams because he can’t be stunned. He’s good for Doom Tower waves as well, and he carries your Faction War team, so he’s 5* in Faction Wars (helped me win Skinwalkers 21). There’s probably other places for him too, but for my roster he’s 5* in Spider 25 and 5* in Faction Wars.

   I tried using Norog as my Spider 25 tank, and he’s actually amazing! As long as you have no off-spec champs that the Spider boss will target instead, so if you have all neutral or positive affinity champs and keep Norog’s HP lowest on the team, he almost always gets targeted and keeps your team alive. PLUS he has a 15% dmg reduction passive and a 40% Inc Def team aura. Does like 2.5 million dmg for me too with full masteries (not bad). All in all, he’s a 5 star tank on Spider 25. Everyone on other sites has him ranked on Spider really low too, but he’s being undervalued I think. 5 stars for me because now I’m basically 100% runs on Spider 25.

   Also position in your team comp matters for his passive. Hell hades did a video recently about it. He has to be in front of anyone you want to block damage for. It’s the same for everyone with passives like that. So leader blocks for everyone. Pos 2 blocks for himself and 3 4 5.
   Pos 3, him, 4 5. Etc

   Video is out of date. He has a block active skills debuff instead of decrease accuracy

   @James: I tested Norog’s passive in Doom Tower and the damage reduction works as expected although somehow it does not pop up Norog’s passive skill name “Thick Skin” regardless of his position in the team. Perhaps Plarium forgotten to code it so that his passive pops up whenever its activated.

   I just pulled norog last week and have him leved up and geared up enough to test out in cb. i thought his passive alone would make him worth it but i have noticed when testing him his passive never gets trigered. Ive played him in the back and as lead and never see THICK SKIN (P) pop up. I see block buff when he blocks the stun but no passive. Geomancer’s (p) is triggered everytime he is hit. Im i missing something? Has anyone esle noticed this

    Norog was huge for me in FW, he should be 5 star for sure. His block buffs is a great wave controller and he hits big against the final boss with full masteries. Highly recommended.

    His skills have been changed/buffed compared to the ones in the videos on this page. Unfortunately, not many videos out there on him. -_-

    @Mongaman: I believe the passive does not stack if there are 2 or more champions having the same passive skill. You could do a simple test to check the damage reduction in Dungeon/Campaign 🙂

    Absoloote is right, norog is for sure a 5 star clan boss champion, you just have to tune the speeds correctly and he can be your stun target for days.

    @Saws actually you don’t always need a champ with a all battles aura as long as you have your team geared properly I have norog as my lead on NM CB and I’m doing 35+ mil dmg per key so his stun immunity comes in handy and even if I switch him out with Altan as my lead for aura and him in the sidelines I make Altan my slow boi and someone that gives a def up buff and have it tuned to where everyone but Altan will lose his def up buff when the cb goes to slam and he will target norog making his stun immunity yet again effective. So in contradiction to your statement norog should very much be a 5* cb champ you just gotta know how to work it

    Shouldnt be 5 star for cb… only useful skill is his passive and block buffs. And his stun immunity will barely come in handy since his aura is useless he wont be leader, meaning he wont get targeted on void.

    I agree with a lot of your content so keep up the good work, but norog is 5 star clan boss champ. His immune to stun and 15% damage resistance makes him highly valued in unm.

    @Bobbles the Mouse: I have re-updated Norog’s equipment guide. Before the patch revamped Norog’s skill, his skill is based on ATK stat rather than DEF stat. Now all his skills relies on DEF stats.

    Norog was updated some time ago and all of his ATK base was changed to DEF based.

    1st of thank you for all your hard work in making this page for all Raid players to use as a guide. Not sure why you have ATtack % as the number 1 stat priority… All his damage is based on Defense. You have Ice Pillar as based on atk but it’s defense. You should probably update accordingly.

    I think there’s a typo in the desc of his a1: This debuff cannot be resisted OR blocked.

    Got this as my first legendary.. should probably update the stat priority to defence after the September update, dont think he needs offense anymore.

    Also if u wanna utilize his block buffs debuff for arena, wouldnt accuracy come in handy?

    Anway great work with the website. its my go to database for new champions 🙂
