Maulie Tankard Storyline
There is arguably no tavern quite as famous and quite as beloved in the entire Dwarven Kingdom as the Stout Oak Inn, which sits comfortably just a couple of streets down from the capital’s main square. And Maulie Tankard – the ever-cheerful barmaid, whose smile dazzles even the gruffest Dwarf – played an important part in maintaining the reputation of her beloved establishment. Indeed, one would be hard-pressed to find a maiden so chipper and upbeat. Maulie knows when the serve the ale and tell an anecdote that will have the patrons rolling in laughter, and when to goad them into a good old tavern brawl. But when the dust settles and the broken furniture is tossed out of the doors, everyone gets back to drinking and singing and praising their hostess. Life would have gone on at the same jolly pace were it not for the Demonic invasion of her homeland. For a while, the Stout Oak had fallen quiet, no songs were sung within its walls, no competitions or drinking games took place. Instead, sombre soldiers of the King’s Guard took refuge within. When Demonspawn descended upon them, using wings or dark magic to overcome the city’s walls, so too the Inn came under assault. It was then Maulie Tankard showed her courage. When a monstrous hound knocked the Guard Captain over and nearly brought its jaws snapping at his throat, it was Maulie who save his life. Seizing a massive fork – one of the sausages that she was cooking still impaled upon the tines – she charged the beast and brought it low with a single precise stroke. Emboldened by her example, Dwarven warriors counterattacked and beat the demons back. Once the siege had been lifted, the Captain found Maulie again and presented her with a masterwork hammer – one of the oldest symbols of Dwarven Warriors – commissioned in the likeness of that fateful fork. Though meant as purely symbolic, the hammer was a potent weapon, and Maulie would have no other when the lure of adventure finally drew her out from her tavern and to the Surface. Though where some seek glory and riches, Maulie Tankard wants nothing more than a wealth of good stories to tell when she returns, and some new recipes to spoil her regulars with.

I can swear I saw a cinematic commercial where Maulie’s date is interrupted by a group of Shadowkin trying to rob the Tavern. Anyone at all know what I mean?

Hydra tank!!! Needs to be paired with another taunt but have her high res (the reflect only on her taunts the buff steal head) good health and because AOE attks are so prevalent in hydra she procs her passive every turn. Used my seeker with her and team had the zooms taking turns like crazy.
Just cleared Bommal hard 50 with this champ. I dont think I would give her 1 star, maybe 4 if not 5. Vrask, Maulie, DoomPriest, Godseeker, Vogoth. Maulie had the worst stats of all of them and she owned it.
Can her passive be used to boost turn meter in an unkillable team? +25%TM is quite big and +50% increased damage against burning targets! Wouldn’t she be a superstar in such a comp?
Toshi, perhaps the reason there is no 15th item selected is because if you use that mastery setup, neither of the two remaining options do anything for her. Both options are for debuffs that exclude her only debuff (provoke).
First mastery for arena miss one point ? can you check again please ,there is 14 points and you can put 15
Looking at her alone no she is not top notch but when you consider what she brings to a team she is top notch in my opinion. Pair her with a champ that lock out buffs or increase cooldowns she becomes a beast. Additionally get her on team with hp burn and she will step up another notch. Also put her with an allied attk or counter attk and damn. I have her on team for waves in doom tower where she is with the fat basher and psylar generally the waves do not get a turn or only get to attack her with a1 thus empowering the team to go more. The compositions of teams that she can bring cc and turn boost to are endless. Top notch Lego in my opinion.
@name : Her passive helps boost the team in DT/dung/arena. Especially when she lands her A2. Plus her A3 is one of the better revives when booked to 65% HP along with the block debuffs and 50% TM. She doesn’t really need any damage stats as that’s not her role. But since she’s provoking dmg she does need to be tanky and someone who can heal her if needed.
Am I missing something? Why is she a-tier? At best she’s c-tier.
In the Arena/Campaign/Faction Wars build, I followed along with Ayumilove’s suggestions here, but ultimately decided I’d rather have Cycle of Magic and Lasting Gifts than Stubbornness. I mean, that seems to me like a WAY better deal–unless you’re just trying to save on Minotaur runs (which I’m not–I already ran her through to get all of her scrolls while I was sleeping, so it doesn’t matter to me). In fact, Stubbornness seems to me like one of the least useful masteries in the game—what am I missing?
Little typo: Her A3 currently reads “+5% Damage” and “+10% Damage” instead of “+5% Heal” and “+10% Heal” respectively.
Why not Fearsome Presence over Unshakeable to have an additional 5% to land her provoke which is a pretty damn strong move in the Arena

I followed the arena build guidelines and maxed out my Maulie; she’s fully booked, artifacts maxed and she has all masteries except her last 350 mastery, which will ultimately go into unshakeable.
Maulie is amazing in the arena and in dungeons with her build. I run her alongside Tyrant Ixlimor and when she hits a burning enemy, she does around 45,000 damage. That is pretty strong damage. But the best part of her kit is her turn meter manipulation. Her provoke makes enemies hit her and with every hit the turn meter is moving. She speeds up every run she participates in. I love her dearly.

I was fortunate to roll her from a single Blue Shard.
Spent 45 shards on double event and got one gold(her) and zero epics. And she is sooo bad 🙁 . The only place she can be useful is arena because of the provoke skill. Ingame rating shows the same. She can’t do damage, doesn’t have any useful buff or debuff, that can make sense besides arena.
Most useless gold that i have. Junk, that doesn’t worth even C legeng rating. Have no idea how she got A. Imho.
One of the coolest (and hottest if I do say so) models in the game, not to mention super powerful; wish I had her
@Zac: Warmaster (Tier 6 Offense Mastery) helps to reduce the time it takes to defeat the Boss at the end of the Dungeon. Her provoke (crowd control skill) helps carry the weaker allies in the team to the boss with ease.
Wow the offensive line for dungeons, seeing as she will be provoking the waves?
@Robert Dickens: Sniper and Master Hexer has no effect on Provoke debuff. Therefore, it would be recommended to save energy/gems from getting the last mastery in the Support Mastery Tree.
You seem to have forgotten to put a mastery in for the arena/campaign/faction wars guide. Or does it not really matter since all she does is provoke?
