Madame Serris Arena Debuffer Build

Here is Madame Serris artifacts and masteries by Ayumilove, optimized for Arena Offense Speed Nuke Team, Dungeons, Faction Wars and Doom Tower. Madame Serris is equipped in Perception Set, Accuracy Set and Speed Set. Both Accuracy and Perception Set provides her with ample amount of Accuracy stats, so she can successfully inflict her debuffs on enemies. Speed Set grants her additional Speed stat, so she can begin her turn first before her allies to strip away enemies buff and lay down the Decrease Attack and Decrease Defense debuffs. The stats to prioritized on Madame Serris are Accuracy and Speed for Arena as the debuffer. Having a decent amount of Critical Rate, Health and Defense makes her usable in more locations as its gives her better survivability and able to inflict some damage. You will need approximately 100~200 Accuracy for Arena Bronze, 200~300 Accuracy for Arena Silver, 300~400 Accuracy for Arena Gold and 400~600 Accuracy for Arena Platinum against High Resist Defense Teams in Classic Arena or 3v3 Tag Team Arena.

Madame Serris Champion Lore

From a young age, the girl who would become known as Madame Serris was drawn to the forbidden arts; notjust shadow magic, but all of the dangerous magic forbidden by the rulers of Aravia. With an aptitude for the arcane which far outstripped that of her peers, Serris was considered to be one of Aravia’s most gifted students of magic. But though her education rivaled that of even senior mages of lreth, it was not enough for the young sorceress. She wanted — needed – to know more.

Serris hungered for proscribed knowledge in a way that many of her peers found unsettling, could find no one willing to teach her, and was the subject of much suspicion for it. She desired to feel the touch of powers she could only dream about. It was in her dreams that the answer came.

The Dreamwalker visited Serris, and whispered to her of sorceries such as she had never imagined. He also showed her how to contact those who might teach her that which she desired to know. She first learned shadow magic from the sorcerers among them. But even that satisfied her for only a short time. There was more to be learned, she was certain of it.

Serris was forced to resort to more unpleasant methods, including necromancy, to get what she wanted. She was caught plundering the burial vaults of one of Aravia’s noblest families, and banished. She joined other Elvish exiles in Durham Forest, but had little interest in the new society that was being formed there, or in the conflict brewing in Aravia. She instead retreated to an isolated village to continue her studies uninterrupted. This she did for a number of years, and during this time learned how to extend her own life through the consumption of an alchemical concoction of her own devising, brewed from the bones of the dead blended with crushed chronogrubs and droplets of her own blood. It turned her flesh green and her eyes amber.

But once again Serris’ methods attracted the wrong sort of attention and she was forced to flee yet deeper into the forest. There, she discovered an ancient ruin, a stone tower, broken by time and overgrown with moss. Within, she found colonies of mourn-bats. Serris found that her necromantic studies had given her an affinity for the blood-sucking creatures, and that she could communicate with them to some degree.

Deciding it was an omen, Serris made her home in the ruin, and made it over into a place fit for contemplation and study. Moreover, she layered a shroud of magical wards and spells of misdirection over the area, ensuring that it could only be found if she allowed it. No more would she be forced to depart in haste, halting her studies. The mourn-bats became her eyes and ears in the forest, and nothing they observed escaped her notice.

In the years since, Serris has rarely ventured into the more civilized regions of the forest, and then only because some Dark Elf lordling has learned of her and requested her aid. Serris will only agree to these requests if her price is met. Her demands are largely innocuous… a certain book, a consignment of unique herbs, a few slaves. Other times, it is something more enigmatic… the skull of a noted scholar, for instance, or a mystical artifact. In all cases, her clients know better than to ask why she wants such things. Some things are better left unknown.

was just running DT Hard 47? i think. my team has no increased crit rate, one serris left on enemy team. increase crit rate pops up on her…. DT champs have special abilities that normal champs don’t have?

  2. sin

@MrMetah. yup. same here pulled her last night. came here to read her lore, and there was the neckline, or more accurately its absence

  3. MrMetah

Rotfl. Just really noticed after pulling her that she has the lowest neckline in the history of fashion… hahaha

  4. Franko

Hello! I’m early early game and I pulled her. Can I keep her arena build and use her in Clan Boss? If I don’t use the red tree, is she useless in CB? I don’t have any masteries on her but she helped me jump to over 4 MIL on Normal as a 4*.

  5. Luk89

Why would you have wisdom of battle on thats only if she gets frozen or feared

  6. red

@eeee .. you might want to check the accuracy req of cb bosses m8

  7. eeee

As I’m missing other attack down champ, could anyone inform me what minimal speed I need to get on her to keep her att down 100% up on Nightmare CB? I need to go 4 times with her for 3 CB turns.

  8. Davidb

    How do I get her?

  9. Arkkinite

    @Mike Davis

I’m not sure what the problem is… just make her go a bit faster then? So she’s 3rd to act on your team?

I am unaware of any changes to her base speed. So the problem has to be on your end. Did you increase Kael’s speed?

I’m confused with what your problem is… please explain.

  10. Mike Davis

My midnight ritual no longer works right in arena. She used to go 3rd then Kael with a power hit after decrease def. Now she goes last and the debuff is useless. Looks like she was nerfed but no one in talking about it…

  11. Wassup

I went harvest despair instead of delay death, works like a charm on her. Leech debuff is awesome if your ally heroes hp is less

  12. Moonbiter855

She’s already ranked S-Tier for very good reasons, but I would recommend raising her Spider rank to 4-Star, at least, because her 60% Defense debuff allows characters like Coldheart and Royal Guard to have 10 second Spider 20 runs. It is advanced, but RNGJesus blesses some of us with that comp. 🙂

  13. Cramden

They ought to just call this toon “if you don’t have this char, you’re F—‘D in arena”. She can beat 4 legends with 3 rares, if you can’t remove her buffs, stun her and hit her hard ALL IN THE first round forget it, and better get speed speed (or resist in the 300s) because anyone smart will speed/acc her to the max. She is WAY OP for an epic in arena.

  14. Arkkinite

    @jareel
That’s 60% on a 50% chance (at best) ability. A1 applies fear but at a 20%, 30% and 45% chance depending on whether the enemy has a debuff or not.

A2 will only apply True Fear if buffs were stolen (at a 50% chance).

Passive may apply fear but only at 35% chance.

Point is, it’s quite unreliable as well compared to Cycle of Magic. And the benefit of a leech debuff that isn’t reliable in most cases is not as useful as the chance to cycling back to the OP A3.

At the end of the day, depends on how and where you wanna use her in. Harvest Despair isn’t the worst choice but it’s more like a side bonus when it happens once in a while during Dungeon farming/Faction wars.

  15. Jareel

[Mastery question] Why use Cycle of Magic instead of the Harvest Despair? That 5% chance to decrease cooldown seems to be worse than 60% chance for leech on A1/A2/Passive (yes, note that this champion is one of a few that can use Harvest Despair on passive, an almost all of its attacks, which is amazing)

  16. Dave

@Xyrilla don’t mind my last post. I am just complaining that I can’t auto open with M.S’s A-3. However, it is easy enough to condition yourself to wait two turns in arena before you turn on Auto.

  17. Dave

@Xyrilia I would understand that Madam S is all about that Offensive team if one prefers to manual. I don’t think that is my style. I will use her right now in classic arena in manual mode. But if and when I get a Stag Knight? Madam Serris will take the slot in DEF. My team is right now is High Khatun as lead and she goes first. Then it was lvl 60 Warmaiden on auto but now Madame Serris on manual. Then Kael and then Miscreated Monster. If and/or when I acquire a Stag Knight. My offense team will definitely sub out Madam S for Stag K. With high acc. so I can go back to auto.

  18. Dave

@Xyrilia Thank you for replying to all my questions. I just only obtained her this Halloween season. One last question, if you don’t mind. Why doesn’t Madame Serris open with her A3 on auto? Is it intentional? Or a bug?

  19. Xyrilia

@Dave if you don’t auto your team she’s one of if not the best arena champion, she outright invalidates many Andrea comps. Master hexer increases the duration of decrease attack and defense which imo is more useful than sniper which does literally nothing on her at all because it doesn’t affect fears or chances to steal buffs, you’re trying to get to eagle eye so you only have two options. Also I understand that she’s not as good on defense as attack because she uses a2 most often, but even then she’s still not at all bad.

  20. Dave

Why is [Master Hexer] a thing when Madame Serris provides either/both [fear] AND [true fear]?

  21. Dave

Madame Serries (sp?) is a horrible Arena champ. She doen’t open with her A3. It is her second move which she uses it. Ergo, it is advised that you don’t use her in a speed team in arena.

    Just saying.

  22. Dave

Please ignore all my comments. I read it wrong. [Block debuff] is granted to team IF Madame Serris steals a buff.

  23. Dave

Never mind. I figured out why. If Madame Serris is going to be a main champ for both Arena AND CB. Then it works. But just note that, the only time you are gonna have your buffs stolen is Arena.

  24. Dave

Rapid Response is kind of a stupid choice because the only buff Madam Serris offers that affects your whole team is [Block Debuffs] but ONLY IF any buff is stolen. I don’t think CB steals your buffs…. Pretty sure [Swarm Smiter] is the round about, more optimal choice. ‘Healing Savior’ is another option. But I think I am gonna choose [Swarm Smiter]. Just saying.

[Rapid Response] Should be swapped with [Swarm Smiter] in your two mastery tress Ayumilove. Please update.

die Übersetzungen stimmen nicht mit der im Spiel überein . Deshalb oft unverständlich.

  27. Liron

Theres a mistake in the masteries in the picture it shows oppressor and in the written section it says eagle eye

  28. Tyler

Just got Serris, and I’m curious as to why Lasting Gifts is listed as a mastery to get. Unless I’m missing something, it’s completely useless for her. The only buff she puts on allies is Block Debuffs, and Lasting Gifts doesn’t work for that. The shield she puts on herself happens every turn, so is pointless to extend. What am I missing?

  29. Totolas Ticot

@Tom Chapman I clearn all nm camp (except 12) with one of the following duo :
    – serris/gorgo
    – serris/apo

serris stuff with full crit, apo full speed / dps

    Yes it takes 2-3min sometimes (valkyries…) 🙂

  30. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

Also, she’s fantastic in Relentless set. Even when the extra turn doesn’t proc, she’s powerful–the occasional extra turn (or more!) just seriously kicks all butts.

  31. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

I just paired her with Miscreated Monster and gained about 40 stars in the Nightmare Campaign using those two together. Not sure if that would qualify for giving her 5 stars–maybe your 4 stars is still more accurate–but wow. Just want to put that out there. I can’t remember which video I saw that recommended that (one of the major content creators–Ash, Stew, or Hell Hades probably), but it was an immediate huge leap for me.

  32. Totolas Ticot

    @confusedone
If you use her in very high elo arena, go for eagle eye, the more acc the better.
If you have already +80 ACC in hall and you use her in dongeon only you might consider the other option.

  33. Confusedone

I’d like to start off by saying thanks for your assistance with all the game info. It’s been enormous assistance for someone who’s new to Raid or never played this type of game before.

My comment concerns a contradiction of info in masteries provided for Madame Arena/Campaign/Faction Wars. You’ve indicated in the masteries’ screenshot a selection of ‘Oppressor’ where as the detailed masteries’list states ‘Eagle Eye’.

Even after 5 months, I still struggle with mastery selection and depend on your guidance. I back up whatever is displayed to comments others have provided as I figure you’ve got some other living you might want to do besides this site and 24/7 is too much for us needy fans to ask. Lol That’s how I found it. Plus quality control manager for the govt of 20 yrs definitely helps. 😉

  34. Totolas Ticot

if you use her in very high elo plat/ gold to get plat, you will need 500+ ACC, so what I’ll say below is not relevant. But if you use her literally everywhere (mid gold arena, all dungeons except FK, FW) then you might reconsider the HP/DEF focus.

As all supports I think DEF/HP is a mistake : a support will not be focused, and if he is it is a good thing because supports are usually naturally tankier. Serris has an insanely good defensive passive. give to her 40-45K HP and her passive will be enough to balance a VERY bad defense.

I use her with almost 100% C.RATE, 130 C.DMG, 2.7K ATK and she still survives after everyone, but at least do some dmg.

jewels main stats > ACC/ATK/C.DMG. No flat value of HP/DEF on a champ with such a high base value. It is not good.
For all equipments, just look for offensive stats. You just need on her +100% HP/DEF for her to be tanky enough (and with sets, arena tier, hall, masteries, a 60% might be enough). So look for +250% ATK !

  35. marko

Wouldn’t fearsome presence be the best?

  36. Giuseppe

It seems Sniper is not good anymore with last revision (1.14): it does not affect anymore Fear and True Fear. I think Master Hexer and Lasting Gift are now the most appropriate choices.

  37. nugs bunny

Lasting gifts is useless besides block debuffs buff. Her shield does not stack if put on 2 turns & she casts another shield the next turn. Her shield applies even if stunned/sleep/etc so no need in that regard either. Either of the other two @ the support tier are much better namely sniper.

  38. CrazyPencil

Why do you recommend Oppressor over Eagle Eye?

  39. Arovor

First of all, thanks for your work.
I‘m sure you‘ve way more experience than I, but i think on Madame Serris you got something wrong.
I more or less speced her according to your guide, and she’s horrible. I used to use her in the Arena, und I played a lot against her.
Compared to other specs she doesn’t do damage at all.
I think building her on HP% isn’t a bad thing since she has a pretty high base lifepool. But building her on %DEF and Speed is the wrong way! I think Accuracy and %ATK are way more important. I’ve seen this character doing 20k+ damage, but with %DEF/%HP build that’s not possible since all her damaging spells rely on ATK.

Also I think her use in CB is fairly limited since you can’t build her as an allrounder.

And she like others said here, she absolutely sucks at the fire knight castle.

  40. Xanthis

@Ben & Lucas Stag & Madame’s debuffs are different. Madame’s is a bit stronger with her removing buffs as well. You would want Madame as your arena champion since she is stronger there than Stag.

  41. Lucas

I have the same question as Ben.

  42. Ben

I have Madame Serris and Stag Knight. I’m guessing running them together is inefficient since they have the same debuff. I want to build one for Arena/campaign and one for CB. Any suggestions?

  43. Giuseppe

Why “Lasting Gifts” – that it seems to affect only A2 – and not “Sniper” – that it seems to affect A1 and Passive Skill? Does shield from Passive stack up each turn, if not consumed – with “Lasting Gifts” activated?

  44. Arkkinite

@shaneVapid This is mostly due to the AI for auto-battles. You would want to apply ATK down and DEF down the boss and 2 adds asap (most importantly on the boss), but due to the AI your champions will avoid targeting/hurting the boss until the 2 adds are down (in order to avoid proc’ing the boss’s counterattack).

So if there is an AOE attack that applies any of the ATK/DEF DOWN, it will not be used until both adds are down. Single target ATK/DEF DOWN, will only use on boss when both adds are down.

That means until you down both the adds, your champions will not apply any Debuffs on the Ice Golem, who is going to murder your team.

Madame Serris’ A3 is an AOE that does not do any damage, meaning she will cast it on the boss (and the adds) regardless of whether the adds are alive or not.

    Hope this answers your question.

  45. shaneVapid

@Shaaw what makes her so great in Ice Golem if you don’t mind me asking? She can only put up block debuffs if her A2 steals a buff and neither the golem or adds put up buffs IIRC. ATK/DEF down is good, but there are plenty of better options in that department IMO.

  46. Shaaw

I think you have blinders on here Ayumilove… Don’t get me wrong, she is good, really good, in certain situations, but she is absolutely not a universal 5 star.

Campaign farming. She can solo farm campaign, but pretty slowly cause she just doesn’t have the damage with the low atk stat. Aoe is great, but nothing spectacular. She brings utility, especially for NM runs with a damage dealer to 3 star everything, but she’s not God tier at campaign by any stretch. 4/5 stars.

Arena off/def: She is a wrench that gets jammed in the gears of any carefully planned/coordinated team. I avoid many teams that have her just because it makes it unpredictable. 5/5 stars.

Clan Boss: She Void and has an atk/def down, but that is pretty much the only utility she brings to this fight. All her fear stuff is useless, her A2 has inconsistant utility, but she is a step behind alot of others in terms of both her support and damage dealing roles. Most other champs that bring in atk/def down debuff also have other benefits to them, like dealing lots of damage, increasing team survival, etc. She is kinda a one trick pony. 3-4/5 stars.

Minotaur, Ice Peak: She’s God tier for both these, no doubt. 5/5

Dragon: Great vs trash mobs, ok against dragon but nothing special. 4-5/5 stars

Spider: Spiders dont get buffs, so she can’t steal buffs. She doesn’t steal buffs so she doesnt block debuff. Her passive can be a little helpful against spiderlings, but there are others far better suited to late game spider queen. Her dmg just isn’t there to make her aoe viable either. 4/5 stars.

Fire knight: Clears trash mobs then brings basically nothing to the table. Fire knight needs multi hit A1s, counterattack, reflect damage, heal reduction, turn meter reduction in order to be top tier. Atk/def down is ok, but there are others that bring that AND the other key things to the table. She is not only not 5 stars, but she is not a champ I would bring at all here. 2-3/5.

Keeps: Great at all of them, destroys trash and brings some good utility to each keep. 5/5 for all.

So like I said, she is really good, but you can’t let where she is spectacular blind you against the things she doesn’t do great in. Please reevaluate. Still God tier overall IMO, but not universally amazing in all activities.
