Lightsworn Review

Lightsworn is an Epic Defense Void affinity champion from the Sacred Order faction in Raid Shadow Legends. Adorned with hair/rope flowing from the horns of his helmet, and wielding a mighty mace and shield, Lightsworn is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

What sets Lightsworn apart is his unique skill set that combines debuffs to hinder enemies and buffs to protect his team. With a powerful 3-hit A1 ability, Lightsworn can make use of the Giant Slayer mastery, a formidable tier 6 mastery, to gain additional damage from his A1 hits. His versatile kit includes an Increase Defense buff and a Revive on Death skill on his A3, allowing him to keep his team alive and in the fight.

Lightsworn’s strategic capabilities are further evident in battles against tough opponents such as the Fire Knight and Spider, where his A2 ability can decrease speed and attack, providing more time for his team’s damage dealers to finish the job.

Lightsworn’s prowess extends beyond specific battles, as he proves to be a valuable asset in various game modes, from Clan Boss to Faction Wars and Dungeons, making him a versatile and formidable champion even in the late stages of the game.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a novice adventurer, Lightsworn’s capabilities make him a champion worth considering for your team in Raid Shadow Legends. With his unique skill set and versatility, Lightsworn is a force to be reckoned with, ready to lead your team to victory!

Lightsworn is magical in reflex gear! I had him in life steal gear which will keep his health up.. however, in reflex gear I see that cool down decrease proc all the time which means he is putting revival on death on these guys quite often. It is carrying me through iron twins for sure!. I highly recommend getting some good defense related reflex gear for this guy. You will thank me. In fact you should add that to your gear list on the website. It is remarkable!

@Humin Bee-ungh: Yeah, Methodical would be useful to allow Lightsworn to do more damage if you built him as a damage dealer too. Based from my experiences on using him, he doesn’t hit that hard, so I recommend having an additional turn on the Increase Defense helps in reducing the damage dealt by the enemies.

  3. Humin Bee-ungh

The “lasting gifts” mastery (from the support tree) specifically does not work on the [revive on death] buff, which is kinda the main point of using Lightsworn. So even though his skill “Indomitable” also increases def, is that enough to justify that mastery? Wouldn’t this champion benefit more from something like “methodical” from the offense tree?

That said, thanks for all the info here!! This site is so helpful :3

  4. P.Magnate

Real Player – His A1 can decrease turn meter by 10%. Not very impactful but it hits 3 times. So Spider or Fire Knight it can be handy.

  5. Real Player

Why are you using accuracy on him? Neither skill has a chance to place the debuff, it is always applied.

  6. Another player

Wow. First to comment on him for Iron twins. This guy has an amazing kit. Inc def and rev on death! Dec def and speed. Made for the twins dungeon! Rev on death is a good way to avoid being wiped by the crazy nuke as the debuff is removed on death and no turns are missed waiting for next revive. Dec speed also is guaranteed except on a weak hit even when not booked.

  7. Td

so what would be better – using Accuracy sets with Def or Def% – or another set with Accuracy and/or Def or Def %? What about shield set or another D set?

  8. Warfisk

I have him with 250 percent def and 130 res and he has no trouble destroying anything in his way with his ao2

  9. Jochen

    @Dave
At Visix it says “each hit” on lightswon it says nothing about that

  10. Dave

    @Joey Ballz
I have him at 234 ACC and on his A1 I can only see one “decrease turn meter” message and a small drop in tm. Unlike, say, Visix where there is definitely two messages.

  11. Joey Ballz

Can someone tell me if his A1 decreases TM by 10% for all 3 hits, or does each hit have its own chance for potential 30% max?

  12. cactus-orc

his A1, needs accuracy. If you build him, make sure he has sufficient accuracy to make an impact otherwise his A1 is a waste.

  13. GoreTaint

Damn people, every champ with debuffs needs acc to land them, because every enemy has at least 30 res against any debuff and your own acc hits against it. If you don’t have enough acc you’ll always get resisted…

  14. Richard Petzoldt

I agree with Sillak. Reading the skill description none of his skills require accuracy.

  15. Shell

I am a novice, why do I need precision, is it the need of A2? But skills have no chance.

  16. Dranan

@Sillak for A1 and A2 you need accuracy for debuff

  17. Sillak

Wait why does he need accuracy if he dose not have any skill that needs it?
It says the stat priority should be accuracy?

  18. Fever Dreamer

@Lariekoek9 From what I have seen, it is only 10% per round.

  19. Lariekoek9

Does his a1 reduce the turnmeter just by 10% or by 10% with each hit? So 30 % in total?

@Ry: Yes. Lightsworn needs to be ascended to unlock the skills full potential. This same applies to all champions that has this skill potential unlocked after ascending via the Tavern with Potions farmed from Potion Keep.

  21. Ry

I just got my Lightsworn, and I’ve noticed that his A3 doesn’t have the “revive on death” buff part.. Does he need to be ascended for this to be added to the ability? As it stands, he only does the defense buff. Thanks in advance.

  22. margaret A buchanan

I just got him today so i am working on him geting his arnor and grear setup the right way and his masties

@Nganeh: Lightsworn’s skill damage is based on Defense Stats (DEF / DEF%). Add a lot of Defense stats to increase his damage. Attack Stat does not provide any benefits to Defense Role champions whose skills mainly rely on Defense Stats. This means you have more options when equipping weapon. You could equip a 4 Star Weapon instead of 5 Star Weapon if it has better substat for your champion.

  24. Nganeh

Is Lightsworn attack act as defense and defense act as attack?

  25. Ayumilove Post author

@XyZ: Lightsworn deals significantly more damage with Giant Slayer mastery against tougher enemies. Offense Mastery Tree doesn’t mean that its focus on Attack stats. It helps boost the overall champion’s damage regardless if it’s skill is based on Attack, Defense, HP or Enemy Max HP.

  26. XyZ

His damage based on def, so why masteries on offense?

  27. Ayumilove Post author

@Thumbutt: Thanks for spotting the error! I have updated Lightsworn Mastery guide!

  28. Thumbutt

Hi. Thank you for your site.

The Mastery Guide graphic does not match the Offense mastery list. Which one is correct?
