   everybody needs accuracy to reduce the turn meter unless the othweerwise explicitly written in the skill description

   Anybody know how the AI on his A3 is on fire knight? Will he waste it when the shield is up?

   Mad props to Lich. This guy helped me finish FW 21 (Skartorsis, Saito, Gorograb, Vogoth and Lich). Sure his kit isn’t stellar, but that turn meter and slow can really shine on Boss fights. I plan to work him into Fire Knight and some Doom Tower Boss teams.

   This guy is under rated in fire knight for sure. I only have 2 comps I can beat fire knight 20 with and lich is on both of them. Using lich with 200+ speed and high accuracy, and apothecary for speed boost, lich can keep the bosses shield and turn meter down the whole fight. Its all about his A3 reducing enemy speed and turn meter once the shield is down. His downfall is that he only strikes with one hit and he doesn’t hit hard. So, you will need counter attack, reflect damage, or heroes with 3-4 hit skills to get the shield down. Even so, I think his ability to lock the boss out of the fight once the shield is down should be worth more than 1 star in fire knight.

   I use this guy for the Scarab King, his kit is actually great for that boss fight.

   WileyMan’s advice is working perfectly. I setup a Lich as a tank just as he suggested, and using the same team, I’m beating Stage 20 on auto! Thanks!

   I also noticed what SaucyLobes said. Stage 14 spider (magic affinity) I had increased defence buff on whole team, after it went off from my apothecary (magic) spiders started attacking him instead of Stag knight (spirit – negative affinity). Before they were attacking Stag.
   So there must be something, spiders doesn’t like to target def buffed champs

    I finally got around to finishing Lich and putting him to the test, and I am happy to report that the comments by SaucyLobes are incorrect. His Lich build may not work as a SP20 Tank, but my Lich build works fabulously as a SP20 tank. My Lich is decked out in one set each of Accuracy, Resistance & Defense with the following stats:

    HP: 37386
    ATK: 1232 (Not that it matters…)
    DEF: 3961
    SPD: 168
    CR: 40
    CD: 90
    RES: 329
    ACC: 217

    It took a few gear tweaks to get things working, and he could take more speed, but with his current stats, he lands the decrease turn meter whenever it isn’t a weak hit and he resists almost every poison. I initially had him at 100% CR with 6 star CR gloves, but he was taking too much damage from the Spiderling hits, so I switched the gloves to DEF% and now it is mostly smooth sailing. Out of over 100 runs, I have lost only 5, with only 1 of those occurring after the glove switch. The full team is:

    Apothecary (DEF Lead)
    Miscreated Monster
    Royal Guard
    Coldheart
    Lich (Tank)

    My Lich Masteries:

    Worth noting Lich can NOT be used as a spider tank, the AI ignores champions with increased defense unless there is no other available target so as soon as he does defense up they will change target even if he is negative affinity (unless whole team has increased defense on).

    @Vempele: Actually that was the skill description that was provided when the champion was released. There was’t any game patch notes that mentioned they have updated the skill description for Lich’s A3. However, thanks for highlighting about the skill description update. I’ll correct it right now 🙂

    The A3 description is wrong. The in-game description says “…Decreases the target’s Turn Meter by 100%…”, not “Fully depletes the target’s Turn Meter”. If the target’s turn meter is above 100%, as if often the case in Spider, it will NOT be fully depleted!

    I am up to grinding SP17, and I am looking for my next level of progression. I do not have any AOE HP Burn Champs, so using that strategy doesn’t play for me. I have a fully-booked Lich at L50 with no masteries. I am considering taking him to L60 and getting masteries to use him as a negative affinity tank for SP20, but it would be in an Enemy Max HP team with MM, Stag Knight, Royal Guard and Big Un. Anyone tried something like this? Is it worth the resources?

    For this goal, is it better to go Warmaster or Flawless Execution? I am thinking Flawless Execution…

    @everyone (except @ayumilove): it’s very important to realize that since you can’t pick and choose toons in this game, it’s vital to rate them based on their performance qua performance; NOT against other toons who may perform better. I mean, if you (have the capability to) think about it, that’s the only way that makes sense. It doesn’t matter how many other characters may be better on the spider, for example, if you don’t have any of them.

    @Dave it’s a hit or miss on spider 20 with him being negative affinity to land his turn meter decrease. He can be an off affinity tank with some utility in hp burn strat but there’re better champs out there… champs like armiger, tayrel, maneater or even rhazin bring a lot more to the table as far as utility goes.

    @Ayumi: Have you tried him on Spider 20? I can see how he could keep her from ever taking a turn, if built with enough speed, and especially combined with Coldheart, but I wonder if that would hold true with the negative affinity on S20.

    @MaxBT: There are various strategies to beat Spider. You can have AoE to kill Spiderlings to prevent the boss from consuming them (early game strategy), nuke with high ENEMY MAX HP damage (end game strategy) or perform HP Burn on Spiderlings while keeping the boss Turn Meter down (mid-end game strategy). In this case, Lich perform very well in preventing the boss turn meter from reaching 100% with his A3 skill “Enervation”. Pair him with a champion who has Increase Speed and Increase Turn Meter skill, so Lich can go faster than the boss to cast his skill.

    5* against spiders, if spiders has no 2’s’. In your spider den list there are too many 5* champs that only attack 1 target. If we have a group of champs who only attack 1 target, are they a 5* group against spider den ? How far they can go ?

    @Bandit489: I reviewed Lich’s skills again and found that his A3 “Enervation” is quite useful once the skill is fully maxed. Perhaps I have missed considering his skill cooldown upgrade. I have bumped up Lich’s Spider Den rating from 1 star to 5 star. Thanks for highlighting it!

    Question; Why is Lich ranked with only 1 star against the spider? It seems to me that the skill enervation is very usefull against the spider?
