Lady Etessa Overview

Lady Etessa from Raid Shadow Legends is an epic champion who, at first glance, might seem as intimidating as a kitten in a lion’s den. But fear not! This guide will unveil the might behind this seemingly unassuming champion of the Sacred Order faction, turning her into your go-to ally attack-based nuker.

Let’s dive into the quirkier side of her skillset. With Whiplash (A2 ability), Lady Etessa doesn’t just attack; she brings a stun debuff to the party, making enemies pause as if they’ve just remembered they left their stove on. Fiend Purge (A3 ability) is where she decides to stop soloing and bring friends to the fight, attacking one enemy with two random allies, turning the battle into a surprising group dance-off, with increased damage if the enemy is already debuffed. It’s like adding insult to injury but with style. And then, there’s Blessed Missiles (A1 ability), where she not only attacks but also places a Block Buffs debuff, essentially telling her foes, “No buffs for you!”

For her build, think of Lady Etessa as a high-maintenance star that needs the right gear to shine. Maximize attack, speed, crit damage, and accuracy. You want her hitting hard, fast, and with precision, ensuring her debuffs stick like superglue. Opt for masteries that boost her nuking capabilities, like Warmaster or Helm Smasher, making her the main act of the show.

When using Lady Etessa, remember, she’s not a solo artist. Her performance peaks when she’s part of a band, especially with members who can lay down those debuffs, setting the stage for her A2’s damage crescendo. Think of her as the lead singer who needs the band to warm up the crowd. In terms of strategic placement and team composition, Lady Etessa is like that puzzle piece you didn’t know where it fit, but once you find the right spot, everything clicks. She thrives in a group that specializes in control and burst damage, turning PvE content into a walk in the park, or at least a very entertaining skirmish.

For gearing and masteries, it’s all about accentuating her strengths. Load her up with gear that boosts her attack, critical rate, critical damage, and, most importantly, accuracy. You want her debuffs to land as surely as the mic drops at the end of a showstopper performance. However, every star has their limitations. Lady Etessa is no exception. While she can be a powerhouse in controlled environments, she’s not the universal answer to all your Raid Shadow Legends challenges. Her effectiveness is akin to a diva’s performance; it requires the right setup, support, and acoustics to truly shine.

In closing, while Lady Etessa might not be the first name on the team sheet, underestimating her would be like ignoring a dark horse in a race. With the right team, gear, and strategy, she can turn the tide of battle, proving that even in a world of giants, there’s always room for the cunning and the quick. So, gear up, strategize, and let Lady Etessa lead your charge to victory, or at least to a memorable fight.

Lady Etessa Champion Lore

The warband that would become known as the Purifiers was founded by a young noblewoman of Kaerok, Lady Etessa. Her father, Lord Miguel Etessa, had been a leader of a mercenary force that achieved success fighting for various Banner Lords. Miguel was a dedicated servant of Lumaya, and his victories were many. He was ennobled as a knight of Kaerok, settled down, raised a family, and funded a shrine to Lumaya.

His daughter, Etessa, had too much of her father’s spirit to accept a life of privilege and peace. She used the family’s wealth to buy a fine crossbow, then put out a call for warriors who sought glorious adventure in Lumaya’s name. Miguel was troubled, but recalled his own younger days, and knew he could not deny Etessa’s nature. He only made her promise that she would not fight for wealth, but to protect the common people and keep the Light of Lumaya.

Etessa and her small band became roving adventurers who sought out and combatted the forces of Darkness throughout Kaerok. Accounts of monsters prowling the woods, of fell sorcerers demanding fealty from isolated villages, of unnaturally long-lived counts or of Demonspawn mounting incursions into settled lands all drew their attention. At times they also brought groups of mercenaries to heel, ending warbands that became too greedy or had turned to looting and crime between jobs.

Such days were carefree and easy for Etessa. She proved a natural leader, and while her disparate force of rogues were not all kind-hearted heroes of the people, she kept their activities honest and ensured they didn’t abuse their power. To those who wanted to receive payment for their actions, she gave coin out of her own personal wealth, though most were as ideologically committed to combating evil as she was.

Slowly, that changed. As Etessa’s fame grew, more swore themselves to her, including less scrupulous volunteers. Factions started to form within the group, with some of the newcomers secretly claiming that Etessa was nothing but a spoiled noble’s daughter, living out her violent fantasies. Even worse, many Banner Lords began to take notice. While Etessa had only ever acted for good, her force had grown to be the largest of its kind in the region, and having a rogue group of warriors roaming free within Kaerok’s borders was the last thing the nobility wanted.

The situation was a recipe for disaster. One Banner Lord, Sir Kerin, mustered a host and rode out to track Etessa down. Kerin’s force cornered Etessa’s, and Kerin demanded she surrender herself to answer for her vigilantism. As she stepped forth, however, a rider appeared among Sir Kerin’s forces. It proved to be none other than Deacon Armstrong, the firebrand preacher of the Sacred Order, renowned throughout Anhelt. Armstrong loudly declared that by decree of the Abbess, he had sought out Etessa and was offering both her and her warriors formal membership. From now on they would not be hardscrabble rogues, but warriors with holy purpose, answerable to the Order.

Those in her war party with wavering loyalties or who had only ever been in it for the money abandoned Etessa. For her own part, she felt a renewed sense of purpose, a belief that now she truly was on a worthy path. It was from that point that her band were known as the Purifiers, famous for purging Anhelt of evil and undesirables. They have hounded the forces of Darkness relentlessly, and everything from petty criminals and runtling Skinwalkers, to vampires and Demonspawn, have learned to fear the news that Lady Etessa and her holy warriors have picked up their trail.

Dinggersmate if I had duplicates of Lady Etessa I would probably use them as Faction Guardians.

  2. Diggersmate

Somehow I have ended up with duplicates. I have not done anything with her until now based on reviews I have read. However, I have decided (given I have duplicates) to experiment with her. I have geared her up in Offense, Cruel and Divine Life. I will leave her unbooked and take her to Lvl 40 fully ascended to 4. I will also begin by following the above mastery code. ‘Though I may adjust as I go. Just see what she can deliver. I will let you know of my lvl of happiness, in due course.

  3. Aeneas_2401

It seems she’s only useful for early mid-gamers. I just got her trough a yellow shard… Very disappointing. Lady Trash would suit her better.

    Obrigado pelas lixos Plaruim

  5. ArcticF0X

She badly needs a buff. Fahrakin the Fat and Catacomb Councillor, also Epics, have 3-4 Ally attacks. Her two random ally attack is useless for the arena if it pulls in your speed booster and not your nukers. Rest of her kit is uninspiring and she takes a lot of books. She’s not even in the top 20 Epics of Sacred Order LOL…. PLEASE Plarium buff this champ I am doggedly holding onto her in the vault waiting for this day.

  6. tictric

She’s guarding my vault since I pulled her almost a year ago. Now I wonder if she’s worth building for the final boss in fw21 to stun the adds with her a2…
